Social Media proves to be a powerful tool when it comes to promoting tourism. We’ve seen that with Kalanggaman Island and ever since it was discovered in social media, the place is attracting more tourists each day. That’s what happening now with Carnaza Island. And we are one of those curious Cebuanos who wanted to visit Carnaza before it become too commercialized.

Hi! My name is Harrieth and please do check out my blog: HartWanders.com !
“HartWanders,” is my online journal where I mostly write about my wandering activity and wondering thoughts. I seldom post travel tips and guides. But I am hoping that with my travel stories, you can pick up one or two tips for your own travels.
I am thirty-something. I still have my corporate job and at the same time, I write for Precious Hearts Romances from time to time as a Filipino romance writer under the name of “Maan Beltran.” Hence all my social media accounts are named under my pseudo name.
Cliché as it may sound but my life story is one of those overused Filipino dramas you've seen in television – I come from a poor family, raised by a single mom (widow), successfully finished my degree through scholarship and with the help of my aunt and finally got a corporate job. So imagine my excitement and happiness when I got to travel abroad for the first time. That was 2011 and I never stop since then.
Traveling makes me happy. It lets me refocus and recharge my energy – something I really need when working in a stressful environment (a.k.a. corporate world). It keeps me going and let me realized that despite the everyday stress and work problems, I am still blessed. Traveling takes me to a new, refreshing perspective and it allows me to discover more about myself. And most of all, it allows me to find my muse. By interacting with the locals and listening to their stories, it gives me some insights and ideas on what to write for my next novel.
In this blog, I want to show you how can still have your 8-5 job while traveling. Because let’s face it, there are already hundreds (if not thousands) of travel blogs out there. Most of them left their ‘cubicle’ life and are brave enough to start a digital nomad lifestyle. Don't get me wrong, okay? I salute and envy them, to be honest! It is something that I dreamed of doing but can’t afford as of the moment. Maybe in the near future. After all, I am slowly pushing myself to achieve my goals.
But as of the moment, this is my current life.
I hope you join me as I embark on this new challenge.
Enjoy reading!
~Hart~
