ideal living situation is what i call the 'sitcom special' : having all your closest friends live in the same apartment building or neighborhood where you each have your own space but can wander in and out of eachothers homes at will, seemingly always welcome and never at bad times. and also all of you only have jobs when its important to the plot.

andrew minyard and the realization of just how much space neil has taken in his life during his first year as a pro-player.

waking up in an empty bed, going on a drive alone after a nightmare, feeling like it’s useless to talk when the only person that understands him isn’t there.

missing his dry humor, his witty mouth, the feeling of their bodies melting into each other, their lips burning together. but also craving stuff he never thought he’d miss: a warm touch of a hand against his; a kiss to his hair while watching the stars; blue eyes reading into his soul and not once shying away from it; russian words whispering secrets and asking for nothing in return.

when you’re out at a restaurant or a coffee shop or a target or whatever with your friends and you overhear/eavesdrop the same snippet of some stranger’s conversation, and you look at each other for a second to check that you both heard this stranger say the same weird/funny/baffling thing and just break out in knowing grins and quiet laughter… that’s a love language

The ROTE novels- at least Fitz's side of them- is some of the only fantasy I've ever seen that really matches Tolkien's ambition in terms of specifically the Walking. SO much. like. visceral description of the where and the slough of getting through and Every Day We Set Up Camp. But It's alright. it's ok. because Fitz wants to tell me about his day and I'm gonna listen to him because he needs to be shown more kindness. and also i get to look at his repressed bisexual thoughts sometimes
