Do you believe you need dysphoria to be trans?
At the end of the day, this is another toxic discourse that I don’t feel the need to bring back on my blog.
It’s not my job, I’m not a therapist
We need to focus on more important things as trans people, like:
More coping mechanisms besides medical transition, because a lot of trans people can’t. Including myself
More accessible access to mental health resources
Recognizing and calling out the toxic and abusive people in our communities
Being kind to each other

MEDICINE THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT TAKE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT
Ladies, listen up.
If you are pregnant, there’s a medication that you absolutely should never take. It’s called misoprostol, sold under the brand name Cytotec in the USA. It’s a medication used to treat ulcers.
This medicine can cause you to lose your pregnancy, especially if you are less than 10 weeks pregnant! So you definitely want to avoid taking this medication. Here is a pdf that will tell you all of the ways you should not take this medication if you are pregnant, and what to do if you accidentally take this medication while pregnant. It can be dangerous! Remember - if you’re having a miscarriage, always seek medical assistance. You may be at risk for hemorrhage or infection.
While I’m giving out useful advice, ON A COMPLETELY UNRELATED NOTE…
You definitely should never use a website like this one. These websites are illegal. In the US, it is illegal to possess a prescription medication without a prescription, even if was purchased in a country where a prescription is not required. Sometimes, websites like this can even be kind of shady! They can have complex checkout procedures that require you to watch Youtube videos like this one to figure out how to do it. So definitely avoid sites like this.
Make sure to share this information with everybody you know!

What cultural relativism is good for: understanding in some countries bugs are a delicacy and that isn’t ‘gross’, red means luck in some places and war in others, death is a great tragedy in some places and a celebration of life in others, etc.
What cultural relativism is not good for: justifying child brides, justifying domestic abuse and sexual slavery, justifying the generalized rape and harm and misogynistic practices against women and girls, etc.

okay we call ourselves the suffer squad because we are all in chronic pain and generally suffering…but imagine the possibilities
like an actual club called the Suffer Den or something else ominous that everyone thinks is a bdsm club but really inside is filled with beds and cushions and lounge chairs with TV’s everywhere playing netflix for tired spoonies that want to hang out but can’t sit anywhere else long enough. Wedges of all shapes and sizes would be stashed in every corner. It would have a pharmacy in the back and a doctor that is always on call who loves to talk about the new pain management advancements that he’s been reading about. Maybe a snack bar to one side that caters to special diet restrictions. And quiet spaces for people who need or want them.
I don’t know, I just really like the idea of us all hanging out in one room.

tbh being able to freely admit when you’re wrong without getting defensive or angry is a skill we should all be working on more as a species
