This is a hodgepodge blog made by a 24-year-old dolt who thought it was a good idea to be on a dead site. Most of what you see here will be fan art and other silly things. HNK is in my heart forever. Also, the art tag is #dont zoom in or ask questions

Ultimately I really do think that Kaoru got the worst ending out of all the character in Oniisama E.
her best friend died of an overdose and left her all alone without really any other true friends while she was suffering with cancer and then got married at 18 and moved across the world with a 24 year old to Germany. She didn’t even know german, she didn’t even finish her high school diploma. She was completely alone and cut off. And then 2 years later, she ended up dying of cancer.

i know there's been a lot of talk over the last six to ten years about how women in anime went from looking like people to looking very chibi-esque and i mean i know cowboy bebop and ive caught a couple gundams and ive seen satoshi kon films so like i thought i knew what people were mourning when they talked about 90s character design but like now i know....now i know.....this is what we lost as a society........

SO. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. CLAMP’s big, self-indulgent crossover multiverse epic. It’s… weird.
Basically the setup is that a group of characters meet up, make a wish, and go travelling through a bunch of different worlds inhabited by different versions of legacy CLAMP characters. Like there’s one where Tomoyo runs a hovercraft race, and another where she’s one of the main character’s feudal lady. The main group consists of a different universe’s Syaoran and Sakura, a different version of Mokona from MKR and two new characters named Kurogane and Fai. Also none of that information is quite accurate, it’s WAY more convoluted than that.
The plot is initially about finding Sakura’s lost memories through different universes, meeting and re-meeting classic characters. But it gets more involved and much darker after a while. I won’t lie, the plot is convoluted as HELL, and tied into XXXholic (which I haven’t actually read. So it’s not necessary). Yet the characters mean a lot to me and watching them grow and care for each other makes me smile.
Fai’s backstory is so absurdly tragic you can’t really take it seriously, but you can feel for the guy. And my god do you feel for the guy.
I don’t know that I can honestly recommend it. But also I really want to recommend it. It’s big and batshit and melodramatic and I kind of adore it.
(Also I’m talking about the manga. Hear the anime is quite bad. In the worst way, it’s supposedly very boring.)
So, it's "THE" clamp crossover! I always assumed they shared a multiverse and that it was a separate story. I didn't know it was a journey through everything! I know the characters have a habit of reappearing in all clamp works (and Sakura was a lead too)!. I've been meaning to dive more into more of Clamps' works because I loved Magical Knights Rayearth. Also, the art of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle reminds me a lot of my favorite series, Vision of Escaflowne.
Also I've just looked up kai and I've seen him before... I've mistaken him for ky from guilty gear.... I'm sorry sir
As for the recommendation. Feel no shame for wanting to share the stuff you love! That's basically how I recommend stuff anyway, I just wanna share stuff!
#clamp always has lovely art#i know clover is kind hit and miss story wise#but i looked into anime short flim based on art alone#the wings on suu are really cool#glad to know the manga is better because it means i can get through it faster!#thank you always for answering my tags!

Papercraft Tohru - and Yuki, and Kyo! And some little fruit details, because, after all... Fruits Basket! 🍎
I got pretty emotional making this one! Fruits Basket had a huge, profound effect on me in my teens, and I often curled up with it for comfort and a sense of companionship during hard times. Now as an adult, it's been a while since I've read the whole series through, but I pick up random volumes fairly often and skim through them to get that familiar rush of warmth. It's still such a lovely series!
