hanler & preston !

“ho ho ho!” preston exclaimed as he burst through the door into the classroom. “oh wait, wrong holiday. what does cupid say?” his brows knitted together in a frown as he looked at the classroom full of seniors as they all turned to look at him, and then he looked down at the ridiculous get-up the school had supplied him for his yearly duties as cupid — a too-small white toga with iron-on hearts and a plastic bow and arrow he had slung over his shoulder. this would probably be the thing he’d miss most about high school: being the go-to guy to dress up in weird costumes and deliver candies to his peers. however, from the look of the teacher’s face, preston could assume the faculty wouldn’t miss him interrupting their classes very much. “alright, make it quick, soung,” the teacher sighed, retreating to their desk. with a smug grin, preston looked down at the list he had in his hands and began handing out the bright red roses, their notecards tied neatly around their stems. stopping by the desk of a familiar face, he grinned and checked his list. “and for you, my dear valentine,” he announced as he handed them their roses.

hanler rolled his eyes but couldn’t help the smirk that grew as preston strutted around the room , toga and all. it was a distraction from class and gave him a much needed break from having to listen to mr. harding’s dull tones for a good few minutes , so he was happy enough to play along. “ for me ? ” he gasped , clutching the bundle of roses to his chest with feigned exuberance - paying little attention to the notecards tied securely around their stems. valentine’s wasn’t an occasion he EVER took seriously , and the roses would probably end up binned before the end of the day. “ this is , like , the BEST day ever. ”
