All of these and more are great reasons to participate in Affirmation/Transformation: Fandom Created, an exhibition at Marquette University's Haggerty Museum of Art. (You do NOT need to be an artist, or even someone who creates art to participate!) Write a story, write a song, design a cosplay, create a fancy manicure, make a meme, make a stop-motion video, choreograph a dance, make a SuperWhoLock gif fic, or anything else your heart can dream up.

Your creation must follow only one rule: It must be inspired by a fusion of 1. any fandom of your choice, and 2. one of the featured Haggerty pieces (click the link to see them!)

Completed works are due July 1, 2024. The exhibition will run August 23rd-December 22nd, 2024, and will be available to view in person and online.

Modern fandom went awry when people stopped learning how to avoid content that upsets them and instead starting actively seeking it out.

I mean this in the kindest, most loving way possible, but babes you'll be so much happy when you stop focusing on what other people are doing and instead focus on what you like.

You'll never be able to stop people from liking what you hate, and the best way you'll find any peace of mind is properly utilizing blocking, blacklisting, and muting tools. Hey darlings!! I am officially opening up some digital commissions!!!! This is a limited time kinda deal - I don’t offer digital commissions or via online very often. I’m not sure how many slots I’ll be opening, it depends a little on the demand as we go. The All Star Game is the first Saturday of FEBRUARY, so commissions are only going to be open from now to sometime in January, depending on how long it takes to get the scratch together!!

Why this is important to me: well, if you’re here - you know how far down the hockey hole I’ve gone. And the all star event is here, in MY TOWN!!! This year! My wife is a lifelong leafs fan, and the original instigator for me paying any attention to hockey after potvin left. My besties are planning to go, and I’d really love to get my wife and I there as well. I’m not looking to fund something ringside, we’re dead ass looking at nosebleeds so anything and everything helps.

How this works!: it’s pretty easy!! You decide what you wanna see me draw, in my style. Then, decide what kind of commission flavour you’d like - there will be examples at the end of this post!! Email me!!!! If you have photos, even better!! Especially with the blorbo squares! Even if you don’t have an exact photo of what you want, that’s totally fine! Send me anything you think is relevant! I’ll respond, say YEAH!!!! Payment happens, via PayPal! Then, you’ll get a rough version of your commission to approve. If you want to make changes, this is when you do it!! It’s the easiest point in my process. Once you say, YEAH!!!! I finish up the image and deliver to you, via email, high res images and .psds with the layers intact. Easy!

Here’s an idea of what you’ll get. All commissions are drawn in procreate, at 8.5” x 11”, 300 dpi - perfect to get prints made for personal use, if you’d like. Blorbo squares are unique in that I do an 8” x 8” square, that I export as a transparent png. Great to make stickers out of!! Again - for - personal use! Uploadable to discord as stickers, with some compression! (This is something I can do for you, if you’d like, and a small compressed png will be provided as well.)

Steve has always been one to be at the lead of any fight, despite being all of five-feet-four and 125lbs fully clothed and soaking wet. So it’s only natural that he’s trying to fight off the weird aliens attacking his city - and so what if he’s already got one arm in a cast, he’s not gonna run when there’s so many aliens and only a handful of military and superheroes fighting in comparison. Sure, it might result in his death, but he’d already outlived his life expectancy anyway. The absolute last thing he anticipates the outcome to be is to find himself pinned against a wall with Captain America’s tongue shoved down his throat and his ass leaking like he’s in heat. But he’s not gonna complain about that turn of events at all.

Broken Arm (and Broke)

Hi all. I've mentioned my car accident on my blog already, but I wanted to post and ask for a little help. 🤕🍵

You see, I broke my arm severely on Oct 1st. It's been three weeks of intense pain, but I've had surgery now (plate and 13 screws and pins😖), and I have a cast on which is finally allowing me to write a bit🙌.

But the thing is, I'm a baker 🥐and cake 🎂artist for my real world job, and I won't be able to go back to work for eight more weeks at the least - eleven weeks total and maybe more. This means my finances 💸 are going to be in dire straights. And I'm scared.

Since I'm self-employed and work *off the radar🫣*, I can't get unemployment. I have a little savings that I'm rationing, but if anybody is a fan of my writing and could find it in your heart 💟to tip a little something through Kofi 🍵, it would really help me to make it through this tough time.
