After a powerful blood magic had cursed the Jacklow family 13 generations back, each child was given a number of words they were able to say within their lifespan. Using all of their words would result in a painful, unstoppable death. One of the lucky few got a couple million words so he was able to go live his life and marry happy. Never having to worry about the amount of words he ever said. Though this backstory isn't revolving around him. This backstory follows his youngest daughter. One of the 3 children he had.

Serina was the youngest of her siblings. Annex was one of her siblings. He was the middle child. A louder kid who had enough words to use until 30 if he didn't worry about his word count. Her sister, Annabelle unfortunately didnt last long. She used to be the oldest sibling. Though Serina lost her when she was 5. Annabelle had gotten in an argument with her parents and out of anger used her last words. Her last words were telling her dad that he cursed his own children and he would get what's coming for him.

Serina wasn't able to say much during the situation. As she was only born with a couple handful of words. She was always held by her mother who would make sure that she never spoke. Though even a mothers touch wasnt able to keep words out of her daughters mouth. By the age of 10. 5 years after her sisters death, she only had barely a dozen words left. At 15, she used a few of her last words. Going to her sisters grave an kneeling by her tombstone, whispering "I Miss You" and crying on her grave for what seemed like hours. She now only had 7 words remaining.

She didnt want to live the rest of her life sitting at home, not able to speak. Being watched over 24/7. That wasn't living. If she did that she would have just said her last words before leaving. Serina didn't want this. So one night while both parents were asleep. She ran off. Now 20 something and out in the world. She sought adventure and companions. Friends to be there for her.
