How to lock the bike in the street

To lock your bike, you should look for an immovable and hard to broken object. Avoid any wooden or aluminum posts, trees, chain link fences, and signposts. 

Not only lock your bike with the wheel to the immovable object but also secure your frame. Make sure the bike lock is set off the ground. Additionally, avoid placing the lock around the bike’s top tube.

It is wise to set up difficult access to your bike lock. Downwards facing key hole would be a better position, because this is how tempering with the lock would be tough. In case of using a U-lock, make sure you fill the maximum internal space of it. 

While locking your bike in the street, you can follow 4 ways: securing it with two locks, with a cable and one lock, with a removed front wheel and one lock, or with the Sheldon technique. 

How to lock the bike at home & Garage

You can lock up your bike inside your flat or house. If there is any space issue, you will find several companies providing storage solutions regarding this issue. No wonder this is one of the safest places to lock your bike. You can also keep your bike locked in the Garage. The brick walls and concrete walls make installing ground anchors easier. A heavy chain can also be used to secure your bike.
