like theyre not rivals. theyre not enemies or adversaries in any sense so that route doesnt make any sense. their intimacy isnt that of a surrogate mother/daughter, and it certainly transcends 'just friends'.

we've been watching them both grow into their own at different stages of their lives and continue developing with the help and encouragement of the other. yeah they argue and are two insanely stubborn women, but they both know how well they mesh together in every way. theyre so similar and complimentary that the clashes are as frequent as the companionship.

it just makes sense??? to take these two into the depths of their shared intimacy where theyre both a bit fearful to traverse individually, but together anything is possible.

it would be a wasted opportunity to not take this by the reins into a spot so many other showrunners are not willing to go and do something fresh and new with it.
