hey guys. 

probably not the message you want to see, nor is there an easy way to say this, but i'm going to be shutting halford down. 

i know the dash is not a good representation of activity at the moment with so many people ( understandably ) busy irl and honestly, activity is still good at the moment. there are plots and connections you likely still wanted to explore, but the truth is i'm losing my own passion and desire to run the rp. every good rp deserves a motivated admin, so i rather close it at a higher point then drag it on lagging behind me.

          for our first task, we are asking you to take the housing section of your app and expand upon it : where does your muse live ?? what do their quarters look like ?? do they like their roommates or no ?? was it their first choice to live where they do ?? why did they decide to live there ?? what is the atmosphere of their residence ??

          you have a lot of freedom with this task, the only limit being your imagination but some ideas to get you started : an aesthetic board of your muse’s residence with a written description of important rooms, a self-para of when they decided to live where they currently do, an instagram edit of their room, or any combination of the previous !! feel free to do more than one post if you’d like.

          this task is optional as all our tasks are and has no time limit. feel free to post links to your completed task in the #tasks channel in the ooc discord and be sure to tag your posts with halfordtask001. let us know if you have any questions !!

          not necessarily !! they could be half-siblings through their father’s side where they would be related to the bebe wood ( aka clover ). the kaia gerber ( aka kendall ) is a step sibling through shiloh’s mother. i would consult this family tree @shilohfm made. it’s super helpful.

hi , how welcoming & active is this ??

          hello !! i think we’re pretty welcoming — our ooc discord doesn’t have an ooc chat so i think that helps cut down on cliquey-ness and makes it really easy for new members to join the community we are creating and not feel like they’re missing something. like any rp, we have our faster times and slow times. from my standpoint i’d say we’re most active between the hours of midnight and 4 am eastern time ( aka when i am asleep but sh — i’m always happy to see the dash move ), but we have quite a smattering of active people in several different timezones who are always milling around ; perhaps not on the dash in the moment, but available to plot. is the dash constantly moving at lightning speed ?? no. but you get most of your replies back in about a day, and in my opinion that is a good definition of an active rp.

          i’d also be remiss if i did not mention my own belief that a lot of rps are simply what you make them !! if you put the effort in, that will often come back positively toward you, but i hope halford has a good base and healthy community to do that in.

( sydney sweeney, 22 , cisfemale, she/her ) did you just see JULIETTE SUMMERS on the quad ?? aren’t they a FILM & MEDIA STUDIES major or something ?? i swear the JUNIOR hates me because they ignored me in the dining hall. if i had to describe them i’d say something like: makeup from the night before, thousands of photos in cameraroll, smell of a fire burning in fireplace, scary movies playing at all times of the day, band tees. where do they live ?? Juliette lives in a sorority house. She had always wanted to be a part of a sorority so during her sophomore year she decided to rush and got in. She just thought it would be a fun college experience for her and a way for her to make friends easily.

any jobs or participation in extracurriculars or sports ?? she mostly is busy with greek life and the events they have to do but she also decided a sport wouldn’t be horrible for her to participate in so she plays volleyball and shes a hitter.

where do they live ?? Ken  lives in a fraternity house on Greek Row 

any jobs or participation in extracurriculars or sports ?? He’s on the soccer team as the starting goalie (unless they get a senior for a goalie then he’ll be the backup goalie). He also works part time at sunrise cafe because you make up for less hours in tips. Something about locals taking pride in their favorite cafe and those who work there and part time at pebble theaters so he can get free tickets for him and a plus one for any movie. Comes in handy for dates ;)
