So here’s the story this time… We were on the train heading to Zagreb. From Budapest. Oh god… The boarder between Croatia and Hungary is closed due to the refugee problem. And this little information they told us on the train. They actually SOLD tickets to Zagreb at Budapest station to korean group of travellers. It’s not like this was news to the staff. We went to the last stop, hopped on another train heading to the closest “city”. So now we are at Kaposvar, nice little place not far from the boarder. Tomorrow we’ll spend the hole day travelling, trying to get the hell away from Hungary. Ps. And had to call my mom to find a place to sleep....

Just my luck
So guys… We had plans for tonighg. Spend few hours in Munich and then continue to Garmisch-P. for the night. We ended up spending 12h in Munich… Yea you heard me, 12h. Your train crashed into a car and we had to change trains few times. As a result we arrived 3h late, missed the change to get a sleeping place in Garmisch-P. and ended up spending the night at the railwaystation in Munich.
Little sleep on a hard floor. Thank God we weren’t the only ones who had to make this desicion! The octoberfestival is getting the prices of any bed rediculously high. Feeling surprisingly safe with all the other travellers and some kind of refugees. I think we all wish that they would turn the lights off…

Must-See.
Here's my must-see-places! Left upper corner: plitvice national park, Croatia. Before I even decided to go interreiling this one was on my list. So there's no way I'm gonna miss this one out. The Partnach Gorge, Germany Hiking trail located at the border of Germany and Austria. This place has a cool story and just look at it! Haven't read a single negative comment about this one. Zell am see, Austria Beautiful Alpine village that has a gorgeous lake next to it. I want to show Alps to Henri (boyfriend) and this is probably the best way to do it! The hostel in this village has an pier to the lake, can you belive that! Ratskeller, Munich And a beer cellar to my beer-loving boyfriend. (The beauty of the place can't hurt) A trip to Germany is nothing without drinking beer! All though I would never even touch beer, he's crazy about them.

Money well-spent
Tumblr media
I’m so thrilled! We decided to order our tickets online. (Click here for the site) We get a free travel pack that included travel wallet that’s made from the same material than swimming toys, wristbands so it’s easier to other travellers to spot you and hopefully easier to approach! Ofc train maps and how-to-guide for the pass itself. All this cost the same as the rail company in Finland have. The delivery is free in Europe.
BUT NOTICE! If your not a europian resident you have to buy a different kind of ticket. I don’t know how that works but well... Can’t be that difficult. Called Eurail if I remember correctly.
As I said, we have plane tickets to Prague. We thought that althought it’s cheaper to travel by boat, it would cost us valuable days. The plain costs 58€ and a boat from Helsinki to Stockholm about 15€ BUT we would have had to activate our interrail tickets to get the discount and pay food, sleeping etc. from the time it would take us to get to German.
So the cheapest isn’t always the best choice for you!

My thoughts
This is my firs independent summer. I finally have the money, age and time to do some travelling! I started my summer by visiting Creta, ah what a lovely place. Safe choise, lot of activity and cheap to travel! But the main event of my year is upcoming interrailing trip! For those of you who don’t know what interrail means; backpacking trip done by train!
Facts
Company: traveling with my boyfriend (hopefully can call him that after the trip *nervous laughter*). We’ve been together for just over 2 years, but hey! Who’s counting.
Plans: kind of open, but I’m definitely NOT that kind of person who just lefts without any plans what so ever! We have plane tickets to Praha and after that Munich. And after that… Budapest, Croatia, Alps, Italy, Monaco, West France… Plan is to visit the small places maybe more that the well-known.
Time: Plane takes off -> 30. September We have 1 month interrail passes so we are coming back home around 3.11, give or take
Me: I’m 18 years at the moment (born 27.9.1996). I live in Finland and that’s about all you really need to know about me! No wait, I have moderate dyslexia so if the letters hop in to wrong place don’t be suprised! And member that english is nothing close to mother language when it comes to me.
I wish my blog helps all of you who are planing to go interreiling. I try to give tips along the way! I didn’t find a blogger who travelled the countries I’m going to, so I hope my blog helps you future interreilers to plan your trips! I also hope that the rest of the world can find a little getaway through my blog!
Enjoy! (I know I will)
