WOK OF LOVE Probably one of the best chemistry between the lead stars I've ever seen. The first few episodes got me thinking if I should continue watching coz it seems like its going nowhere. The dialogues were all over the place and it was kinda frustrating. But the actors were great, the aesthetics were captivating, and of course, it's Lee Jun ho so I decided to see it through. I can't remember where exactly it got better but there was a point where I don't want to stop watching. The characters were creatively made so that you'll know what to expect from them so that there won't be any disappointments. They took so much care of the second lead so he won't look pathetic unlike other kdramas where they destroy the pride of the second lead character. What I love most about this is the chemistry of the actors. It was so real that I googled them just in case they were caught dating in real life. 2PM's Lee Jun ho was brilliant. His personality shines through his character so much so that it was all believable and heart fluttering. I love it and I highly recommend it. If yoi're not a fan of Jun ho, you will be. . . @le2jh #wokoflove #2PM #Junho #LeeJunho #kdrama #kpopidol #Janghyuk #JungRyowon https://www.instagram.com/p/B-6Cv_0gL11/?igshid=1otwehznba49d

To all my mutuals who are starting to lose hope, this LETTER lyrics English translation is for you. The mv may have given us an ending that might have suggested that they have separated for good. Followed by The Moment mv and lyrics which might have been more confusing because of the first part where he woke up alone on the bed that they used to share together on LETTER mv. But it was just the story that tells us about one of the breakups they've had. If you listen and understand the lyrics of the song, it suggests that he refuse to let her go because he can't live without her. Read the english translation and you'll know about his promises to her. This song is his love letter to Seohyun. Let's not get swayed by other unrelated events. Let's believe Yong's promise to his Queen. He'll be by her side forever. 💘💙 . . @jyheffect0622 @seojuhyun_s #Yongseo #yongseocouple #gogumacouple #cnblue #snsd #jungyonghwa #yonghwa #snsdseohyun #seohyun #waiting4cnblue #delulusnevergiveup https://www.instagram.com/p/B5lq9T5AJvl/?igshid=dp909pkz4ewo

Let's Eat 2
If you are on a diet, this series is wrong for you. As what the title suggests, LET'S EAT 2 is gonna make you crave for different types of food. I've made a few mistakes by watching this late at night which made me crave for food before bedtime. I've never seen food the way they filmed it here which made me appreciate it more. Yoon Doojoon is such a good actor. Watching him eat is so enlightening coz I never thought you could act out an appetite that way. Plus, the sound of his voice is very attractive which made it sound like music to me ears. It's modulated but silvery at the same time. I think he has the best speaking voice I've heard so far in Korean celebrities. I love him 😍
And then there's Ms. Seo Hyun-jin. She's now one of the very few Korean actresses that was able to capture my heart. Her acting has always gotten the best reaction out of me. Watching her act out an appetizing meal made me see pigging out in a whole different level. It made me want to meet a person who would appreciate a woman who eat like she's writting every flavor with her soul. Another addition to my highly recommended kdrama list.
WARNING: Don't watch it late at night if you don't want to regret it in the morning. .

LOVE RAIN
I finished watching this 20-episode melodrama series 2 weeks ago and I hope I can still remember the details I need to write about.
First of all, I'd like to point out that this is one of those kdrama series that has a picture perfect cinematography. If you've seen "That Winter The Wind Blows", this is the spring version when it comes to cinematography.
Ok, so I've said this a few times before. One of my pet peeves is the female lead that is a pushover, weak and always need rescuing. My problem with the lead characters here is that she can't say what she wants to say and says what she doesn't really mean. He, on the other hand, says things that he can't really do. His character is so full of himself and has no guts to stand by his words. Imagine my frustration while watching their characters screw everything up. I really don't like how their characters were conceptualize and it's really frustrating for me to watch.
The story is really good, though. I love this star-crossed lovers kind of stories. There's nothing more romantic in finding again the love you've lost. Although for me, there's a lot of slow, unnecessary moments that makes you want to keep pressing the fast forward button on the remote. Too many "different angle" shots that can come of as irritating and dragging. But if you're not very particular with that, you will enjoy this series. The story is great and the shots of every scene is beautiful. Lee Mi-suk was spectacular. Perfect acting. Jeon Jin-yeong was excellent. These two actors are really a veteran in this business. Im Yoon-ah was surprisingly good although I didn't like her character, she portrayed it really well. Jang Keun-suk was also really good. His chemistry with Yoon-ah is as expected, perfect. Although I preferred her 1970s character acting over the 2012 character. I felt the love she had for him in the past more than the one in the present. I guess it's the character's fault. She's too confused on what to feel and that's the reason why she failed to connect hers with his character. Her present character came off as thin and cliched, but she's still good nonetheless.

I need a distraction from the recent events so I'm making a kdrama review.
LOVE ALARM
It's an interesting plot and very timely to this day and age.
An app was launched that alerts people if someone in the vicinity likes them.
I didn't think it'll be an interesting plot but I was proven wrong. Although love triangles are a staple to kdramas and in this case, the situation is not much different, they were able to make it engaging maybe because of the characters of each individual related to the triangle. The actors and their characters are refreshing to the eyes. Cinematography is good. Having said that, I am having trouble with the screenplay. There are scenes that will make you question if you missed something or they just haven't revealed the real plot twist yet. It's a little confusing and it'll make you wonder all thru the episode.
Kim So-hyun is amazing. She has this very precise acting skills and she looks very nice onscreen. Jung Ga-ram is perfect for his role. Song Kang is so handsome that being an amazing actor makes him even more desirable. Those expressive eyes can make him look pitiful or arrogant in a flash. And his looks reminds me of Eunwoo of Astro. Perfect visual. .

MISTY
Done watching this 16-part Korean TV drama series on Netflix and it was amazeballz. I love the storyline. I love the plot and the plot twist. I love the message and the moral lesson that comes with it and I especially love all the actors. Well, I loved all that needed to be loved and hated all that needed to be hated so I guess the acting was effective. Ji Jin hee will always be amazing in my eyes. Kim Nam joo is a breath of fresh but cold draft 😋. I love this kinds of female lead characters. Those women who can take care of themselves and fights back... these are my kind of gals.
And then there's the ending that is so morbid that it made me happy. I don't want a Cinderella story. I want fiction that is close to reality but not real enough to make it boring. This one has one of the best endings I've ever watched in kdrama history. It'll make you question your morality. The biggest lesson I got from the story is that we always have choices in every decisions we make. We just refuse to acknowledge it if it inconveniences us.
Best Quote: "It's nobody's fault. Everyone is living their separate lives."

Fame is a double
edged sword.
It can be the means to spread things you love, ideas you wanna share and you can extend help to as many people as you can. If you maintain an image of perfection people will continue to support, love and adore you. It can give you comfort in life, advantages in some things that only popularity can provide.
However, it is also something that can ruin you. Imagine your every move to be under a microscope. People scrutinizing your every action, deciphering your every word and the saddest part is accepting that even your private life belongs to the world.
To make it out alive, sane and in one piece, you must be strong physically, mentally, morally and emotionally. Otherwise, fame will eat you alive, without mercy. It doesn't matter if you are a human, a robot or a saint. People will judge you for your mistakes and you will only be remembered as the one who *fv¢€ed up.

To those of you who were happy the "trash" is out, we get where you're coming from. He's done so many things that ruined the name of the Legends of Kpop Rock. We get it. We understand.
But please don't make her the "hero" of the situation. Don't ask us to give her respect when she herself doesn't know how to respect other people. If she feels offended by that message (I'm sure he's not the only one who sends her malicious messages), she should have replied to him by saying what she really feels. Common courtesy is what it's called. It wasn't as if he publicized his "creepy" message. It was sent in privacy. She could have shown him the decency (if she really is a decent girl) of sending him a reply but she screen captured his message and posted it online for all to see. For what? What could be the real reason why she posted his dm? What was so offensive and damaging to that frigging dm that she has to expose it like that? Isn't that also a form of bullying if your intention is to humiliate/defame others just coz you can? People these days act all high and noble thinking they are better than others... Judging people while standing on their soapbox. Yes, such hypocrites exist more now than ever.
I just can't read Hangul so I don't have an idea what the comments are on her Youtube videos (and I don't want to watch any of it for it will increase the number of views) but I'm sure there are degrading comments there that objectifies her as a woman. But judging from the photos posted on her account, it seems like she herself wanted to be objectified.
Those who will fight me on this article, I'm talking about this incident alone. Let's leave the other issues in another topic.

STOP SHIP SHAMING!!!
Can I be honest here? I'd like to tackle the issue about SHIP SHAMING.
If you don't know what ship shaming is, let me tell you my own definition of it.
SHIP SHAMING is when someone insults and/or degrades you and anything related to your ship like comments, fan arts, posts, etc. Do you honestly think only the OTsomething are the ones who deserve to post and comment about them?
I have several questions about this because I really don't get why people need to ship shame. I mean, it doesn't make you any better than us when you insult or degrade us shippers. We idolize/admire the same person or group as you do. If anything, we should be praised for doing our fan antics twice as much as you do yours. We follow both on their social media accounts and we buy 3x of what you guys buy like merchs, concert tickets, etc. One for each of who we ship and one for both of them together.
We are not asking you to like us. We just ask you to respect us and acknowledge our existence as K-fans. We can live in harmony in this K-showbiz world. You don't need to be creative with your insults because we can do the same to you but we choose not to so as not to create fan wars that will hurt the person we follow devotionally.
And same goes to other shippers who ship shame other shippers. We both have the right to believe the ship we are on but of course, to a certain extent. Let's just keep our ship clean and peaceful and respectful.
So yeah, this post is a plea to other fans who think it's right to insult other fans who doesn't board the same boat as you are on. RESPECT begets RESPECT.
Peace to all!

DESIGNATED SURVIVOR: 60 Days has concluded it's final episode on Netflix yesterday, August 20, 2019. The 16-part tv series ran for 8 weeks on tvN and Netfix on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:30pm KST.
I took my sweet time in writing a final review about it mainly because it deserves a just and heartfelt critical response from a very passionate viewer, and that is me. I won't give a synopsis of the story because you can find it in other sites if you Google it. So I'll just go directly to the review.
Let me just start of by saying that this tv series is AMAZINGLY AWESOME in every aspect. The direction, cinematography, plot, dialogues/script, characters and actors were perfect. Everyone and everything was amazing. The storyline was well orchestrated and there were no wasted second of every minute of its airtime.
Ji Jin-Hee has gained a passionate fan in me with his portrayal of his character as South Korea's Acting President Park Moo-jin. The sincerity in his eyes made him a perfect choice for his role and it's driving me nuts! He's one of the reasons why I was so engrossed into watching and anticipating it week after week.
Although I must admit I got a little worried that I might get disappointed in its final episode because it had been the flaw of Korean drama series to mess up the ending, therefore ruining the entire series (i.e. Descendants of the Sun). But Designated Survivor made it to the end with flying colors... South Korean flying colors, if you will. All the other actors were also perfect. I especially love the bromance between Cha Young-jin (Son Seok-koo) and Kim Nam-wook (Lee Moo-seang). I find the love-hate relationship very amusing, entertaining and endearing. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
In Retrospect:
I think what was depicted here as for how the media is partly to blame by how the nation would react with regards to a certain issue is on point. As what I've personally observed in SK media is that the shameless and self-serving way of how they broadcast an item is unfairly affecting not just the victims of a deceitful article but also the public who believes in everything the media says and writes about. Which brings me to my next point.
The public. The citizens of a nation. The peoples of the society can be the most damaging factor to a person, whether he's an elected official, a public figure, a celebrity or a simple private citizen. People think they have the right to judge others by the mere opinions of the majority or the witch hunt of those self-serving media who hides behind the curtain of "public trust" but betrays the very core of their obligation as journalists.
This is how much I loved this tv series. Hahaha! My passionate self and my sense patriotism who is clamoring for a real change was triggered by the story.
In Reality:
I wonder if it's even possible for this Cinderella political story to ever happen in the real world. Politicians/government, journalists and private citizens are so deep into the norms of the dog-eat-dog world that I find it impossible to survive with our ideology and principles intact.

Social Media Ethics
People, especially youngsters nowadays are very dangerous. Everyone is armed with a weapon and that weapon is a keyboard/keypad. It wasn't supposed to be that way since it's supposed to be used as a tool to create, to inspire and to give hope to others. However, when you use it to offend, insult, shame, antagonize and bully other human beings, it becomes a weapon... A very deadly weapon. People sit behind their keyboards and say nasty things to others and hide behind the shade of "it's just my own opinion". There shouldn't be any problem when we say that phrase but we should be considerate in voicing out our "own opinions" because we are responsible for every word, every action and every thought that comes out of our mouths. If I say, "You look like a bitch so you must be one" and then tell you that you shouldn't get mad because I'm just stating my own opinion. How would that make you feel? Do you think it's fair? Or if I say, "You seem uneducated. My opinion is that your parents didn't teach you well or maybe they are also uneducated. But that's just my opinion". What if everyone talks like that? What if everyone thinks that insulting others by commenting hurtful words as if you have the God-given right to do so would be the norm of the social media community? How are we different from monkeys holding a gun? Imagine this world without religion and without a government to set the law, the rules and regulations? We are not living in the stone age or in the wild wild west here. We are all educated and civilized social beings and we are living in a fast-paced and innovative world where we can affect people's lives at the click of a button.
We have yet to set concrete rules and regulations about how we should behave on social media. We rely on our own ethics and morals.
This is a plea to all keyboard warriors our there. Please be considerate of other people when you type your "opinions" about others. Not everyone share the same ideals, culture, religion background and experiences as others and so we MUST always extend an open mind and try to understand people around us.
Being blessed with advanced technology that make our lives easier should be treated with a grain of sophistication, elegance, wisdom, and a sense of responsibility, morality and humility. Keeping this in mind and taking it to heart can go a long long way for the so-called human race.
Cheers to civilization! Cheers to advanced technology! Cheers to empathy! Cheers to morality! Cheers to the inventors of social media who left people with weapons and not teach them how to use it!
