so it's been a full year since i started the ghost squad server and i can say with full certainty that this year would have been miserable without it. i have to call out my friends in public bc i love them all very much, so i'm just gonna tag them all :))

i literally love you guys so much and i'm glad that we all met bc of this silly little ghost band.

one thing i love love love about wake up is how she goes from "and you use your pain, cause it makes you you" to "and i use the pain, cause it's part of me" like she goes over the course of the series from being defined by the pain of losing her mom to being defined by her love of music. and yeah, the pain of her mom is in there, but so is the love for her dad and brother and mom and so is her feelings for luke and so is her love for her phantoms and so are her feelings about flynn and so are her feelings about carrie and-

Do you ever think about how in Wake Up Julie sings “and I’ll use the pain ‘cause it’s part of me and I’m ready to power through it, gonna find the strength, find the melody, ‘cause you showed me how to do it” and by Stand Tall that’s exactly what she does? She thanks her mother because she’s using the pain of losing her, the memories she has of her, the love and grief she still holds for her to power through it and perform with strength because Rose showed her how to do it even when she wasn’t there. Not only that, but the way it relates to the boys too - they showed her how to fall in love with music again. She performs for them as well, knowing they helped her find the melody once again. She really comes full circle, huh.

Willie really is the patron saint of L.A Skaters. 

I bet he keeps using his tricks to get skaters out of trouble with the law all the time. Like does it so often that he becomes like some sort of legend. 

Or do you think he already was a legend and when he died and his skater friends keep his memory alive, and they swear that every time they miraculously got out of trouble or out of harm’s way that it was Willie looking after them? 

(Especially since Willie getting run over may be because he was trying to save his skater friends from suffering the same fate- just a theory). 

The stories spread and it becomes a local legend over the years. Little shrines and rituals in dedication of ‘Silver Helmet’, guardian angel for skaters, pop up every now and then.

is there like no official sunset curve merch??? or julie and the phantom band shirts ??? like you’d think netflix would jump at the chance to make actual band merch like at that point the show leads itself to being open to having merch that looks like it’s for a real band literally it’s so simple and could be so cool
