I'm sorry but parkour civilization is just objectively funny. Everything is treated so seriously. There are vine booms every five seconds. Literally every setback the protagonist is hit by is solved by someone appearing and going "here's the exact thing you need," sometimes literally falling out of the sky to do so. There's a literal deus ex machina at one point. The running gag that nobody can do a backwards jump. 10/10 peak comedy

Her origin is pretty much the same as it was in the old superman cartoon, she ran a super popular radio show ‘Livewire radio’ in metropolis talking shit about superman until, at her show’s 2nd anniversary celebration live show in the centre of metropolis, there was a thunderstorm

the cops showed up to shut it down and eventually mighty himself showed up cuz surge refused to stop the show and then she was struck by lightning, giving her her powers

*(not really but just in case) Spoilers for Yakuza Kiwami up to chapter 10*

Okay the story is finally starting to pickup but oh my god the boss fights are some of the worst of any beat em up I've played. They're challenging, but not because they genuinely test your skill and make you work for a win. They are dodge and block heavy tanks, usually with either a ranged attack like a gun or sword, or with a super quick hard to dodge move that knocks you to the ground if you get hit. The bosses aren't fun. It makes me just wanna get it over with so I can play Kiwami 2. I'm so tired of this shit I just want it to be over. Crazy considering id give 0 a 9/10 and Kiwami (so far) is like firmly in the 6-7/10 area. If it was actually testing your skill it'd be way higher but the gameplay is severely lacking in this one.

*Spoilers for Yakuza Kiwami (up to chapter 6) and Yakuza 0 (up to chapter 4)*

Currently on chapter 6 of Kiwami and oh my god dude this chapter is a SLOG. Don't get me wrong, Zero had more than a couple annoying main missions, namely the mission of getting the homeless Tachibana workers drinks as Kiryu and going to the telephone club as Majima, but this entire chapter has been one annoying side mission after another. I understand the theming of "Father and Child" as it's the name of the chapter and each mission focuses on one of the male side character's children, but they're side characters who I haven't grown to like like I have some of the main characters. Not to mention that so far NONE of these plots have circled to the main story in any meaningful way. I am currently in the middle of Date's daughter's plot and it feels just as disconnected as the rest. Hopefully Im proven wrong but I haven't heard Nisikiyama mentioned once in hours and he's the main antagonist. I'm just ready to move onto the main plot. With that being said, though, I'm enjoying the gameplay way more than Zero and the Majima everywhere system is one of the most enjoyable things I've experienced in this game. Hope they get on with it but I will still gladly sit and play Majima everywhere and side missions for hours.

Rewatching fhsy and thinking about Gorgug trying to get way too large birds to perch on his arm (re: Baxter). I bet the greatest wizard of all time could convince the mistress of the compass points to do a silly bit with him.

This'll be updated later sadly my computer is having issues and is crashing any game that runs in DirectX after about an hour. Luckily Yakuza stopped after I tweaked a few settings so I may be able to play later, but nothing set in stone. But hear me loud and clear Alydia's journey is NOT over.

FINALLY playing FFXIV after watching @snapscube play the new DLC on stream! If anyone is familiar I would LOVE some beginner tips since I always struggle to get into MMORPGs like this, but it looks SO fun and I'm really excited to try it out!!
