Hi. I'm back.
I abandoned this account a while ago because I have a massive problem with social anxiety. I don’t want to overshare, so I’ll leave it at that explanation.
What have I been doing? Nothing. Literally. Except that I’ve gained weight because I was eating my feelings. No more skinny legend. xD I’ve been drawing again for the past three weeks.
What are my plans? I want to be part of a community. For once, I want to meet people who aren’t totally toxic and who accept me for who I am. I know I need to put in some effort to make that happen. I’ve decided that I want to follow a different blog every day again. I want to improve my art. I want to do what I’m passionate about, even though there’s still sooo much room for improvement. I want to be able to tell my stories and be part of others' stories too. :3
Good to be back. Also, I finally have a sona :3

Help Falastin!
Hey folks! I've been in talk with Falastin, a Palestinian, over the past couple of weeks. They've been so lovely and just a genuine sweetheart, and they've been talking to me in-between asking for help with their campaign. They're managing a lot right now and trying to find ways to keep their family alive through the winter. They wrote this up for this post:
Dear friends, it's time to act now. For decades, Israel has committed war crimes against Palestinians—starting in Jenin over twenty years ago, continuing in Gaza, and still happening today. These atrocities have been carried out at every checkpoint, with every bomb dropped on hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, fully aware of the consequences. Right now, over two million people are trapped, deprived of food and water, and bombarded daily. International law has become meaningless, as Western countries continue to supply Israel with weapons and support instead of holding them accountable. If we do not act now, the Palestinian people risk being erased. My friend Falastin's family is enduring this nightmare. They are struggling to survive in the midst of this crisis and urgently need your help to get through the coming winter. So far, they have raised $6,200 out of the $196,000 needed. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, but they still need our help. This week’s short-term goal is to raise $11,000 to cover their basic needs, and they can not do this without our support. Standing with the Palestinian people is standing up for humanity. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a profound difference. Please help Falastin's family.
If you can, it would mean the world if you donated or at least shared Falastin's campaign!! Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.

Unforunately I've been thinking...
"How can I present myself?" "What could go wrong with this?" "Will I ever get it right?"
These are the thoughts I've been having [apart from recent posts and reblogs of Gaza] and frankly I should've have kept it simple. Hopefully from here, that can change sooner than later.
I've since trashed the posts involving me trying to document my process before I've dipped my toe into art, but as I go forward I may as well take them in stride. That being said, I'll still have to keep and ear out for any false perceptions. Just don't forget, even when you might have all the pieces, you're still a work in progress.
-Sincerely you, me.

hmmm~ better reconsider the masterpost then. Thanks for the fyi.
I've read your post on scammers acting as Gaza victims. All the points you've said, align with what I'm going through myself, but the problem is that these are legit "gofundme" links they post and asks I get immediately after a follow. Is there anyone to find out if they're legit? It feels weird knowing so many families are reaching out to a practically invisible blog for help.
hi !
honestly there's a really weird combination of things that I can't tell the legitimacy of. What I do is look for proof of verification from a reliable blog and that the verification actually looked at them. This means:
You see the post where a person explains that they've spoken to this person personally and confirm that they are real, OR they are on a vetted list such as this or Operation Olive Branch which are managed by dedicated vetters
They are either on one of the lists or SOMEONE SPOKE TO THEM AND YOU SEE THAT SOMEONE SPOKE TO THEM; don't just trust reputable blogs simply reblogging things. "not vetted but x user reblogged it!" isn't enough for me
Generally, my process is:
Don't trust any that just have a string of random words as their username. That part is easy
Don't donate to paypal unless you trust the person with your life. PayPal is not protected. GoFundMe protects donations and would refund them if a campaign is found to be fraudulent, so it's generally safe; however, fraudulent GoFundMes are not unheard of
See if they claim to be verified on the post itself. Those that are will often display it publicly, because it's important.
If they claim to be verified, they usually link to it. Do NOT TRUST any that claim to be verified without seeing the verification yourself!
If they don't have verification linked on the main post, check the notes; you will probably quickly see people tagging it as "#not vetted" or explaining/linking to the vetting in the reblogs
Fundraisers that haven't been vetted can still have a lot of green flags that prompt me to reblog anyway; for example, a person in Palestine cannot create a GoFundMe unless they have a foreign bank account, and therefore many go through beneficiaries. You can sometimes see that some GoFundMes are believably hosted with an active and responsive beneficiary who explains their involvement
These are trustworthy users that currently or have previously had participation in vetting and have contributed to public resources or have resources of their own:
el-shab-hussein
nabulsi
90-ghost
- Quite frankly, 90-ghost's usage of PayPal & frequent "my paypal has been deleted so here's my siblings" scares me and looks like a huge red flag, but I've seen snippets of evidence that they are a real person who has appeared in news articles on palestinians and etc)

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives. Share and donate as much as you can. https://docs.google.com/document/d/178EGDFKkHlh3y4TMVX82kqgITHsqtoMdNccI2f_94Os/edit?usp=sharing

URGENT 🚨
Attention please 🙏
Hello, I am Ahmed. I am 22 years old. I study medical equipment engineering at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, which was recently destroyed due to the difficult and terrible war that Gaza City is going through.
I had one year left to graduate, but the war destroyed everything. I lost my education, my father lost his job and his small shop.
I hope that you will help me and stand by my side in saving me and my family, starting over, completing my education, and building my life and future after it was destroyed.
