Mod Hugh here! Guess who got Pokémon Black for Christmas... Iiiit was me. So this blog both functions as a live blog of Pokémon Black & a rotomblr blog for the protagonist himself. Speaking of which, Hubert is my specific interpretation of the protagonist for Black specifically, as I have a different protagonist for each Pokémon game. Hubert has difficulty putting his words into sentences both verbally and through text because of his dysgraphia, as well as autism. Be normal about this. This is also my first time writing a character with autism, so please don't hesitate to give me pointers!

Anyways, more about me. I'm Mod Hugh, but I also go by Lucas, Hughcas, or Nils. I use he/him, and I'm a minor. My main is @waningcrescendo, and I also run @drillrundunsparce. This blog is in the same timeline as drillrundunsparce, but set about 15 years before. The protagonists of each of the Pokémon games in this specific timeline have different names than the ones in canon, so please keep that in mind!

The Porygon of the Jungle

The Porygon of the Jungle is a book about a Porygon sent to survey a jungle. As it researches and surveys the jungle, it starts to mingle with the various Pokemon of the jungle, and begins to doubt if it's a true Pokemon. Near the end of the book, the Porygon meets Mew, who tells it that it's just as much a Pokemon as any other in the jungle.

Four of Swords

Four of Swords is an SNES RPG about Keldeo and the Swords of Justice. You play as Keldeo, trying to help both Pokemon and humans, all while trying to gain the approval of Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion.

Mimikyus in Orre

Mimikyus in Orre is a sorta "modern classic" animated cartoon, in a similar vein to stuff like Steven Universe and Gravity Falls.

It's 2D animated, and stars three Mimikyus trying to make a life for themselves in Orre. The three Mimikyus are as follows:

Pika, a Mimikyu with a Pikachu disguise. The leader of the trio, who just wants a home to call their own.

Pix, a Mimikyu with an Alolan Vulpix disguise. He wants a trainer who will provide for and care for him.

Sandy, a Mimikyu with a Sandile disguise. She wants to become the strongest Pokemon in the Orre region.

The show is very respectful towards Orrean culture, and has the Orrean sunset as a common setpiece.

The show is rather well-received, though does have its critics.

Its first season has finished, and a second season was recently greenlit.

Veectory

Veectory is a series of RPGs made by Square Onix. 1 and 2 are on the DS, and 3 is on the 3DS. There's also an official remake of 1, which was poorly received, and a fan remake of 1, which was very popular. Square Onix soon hired the people behind the fan remake, and they're now developing Veectory 4.

Veectory stars a noble human warrior, Victor, who gets turned into an Eevee very early into the first game. Even in this new form, though, Victor upholds his honor and warrior's duty, and continues fighting for peace and to protect others.

Veectory 1 has entirely Pokemon party members, including Fraz the Mimikyu. Veectory 2 and 3, however, have a mixture of Pokemon and human party members.

Veectory 1 also has a Giratina superboss in the postgame. It's notoriously very difficult.

While Veectory 1 and 2 were turn-based RPGs, Veectory 3 is an action RPG. For the first time in series history, it allows Victor to evolve, and the combat gameplay changes depending on which Eeveelution he evolves into.

A trailer for Veectory 4 was recently released, and Square Onix has announced that they're releasing 10 animated shorts showing iconic moments from the Veectory games, leading up to the release of Veectory 4. So far, 3 of the 10 shorts have been released.

Veectory 2 has had an interesting speedrunning history, mostly due to cheater Micklemick. Mickemick had been speedrunning Veectory 2 for about a year and a half before turning to cheating. They had modified the game to change the behavior of some enemies and bosses, making them use attacks with shorter animations much more often. Micklemick wasn't caught until months later, during a livestream. The modifications to the game had some side effects. During a live speedrun, on the third boss, the boss used move "TESTMOVE1", which isn't possible without either some serious glitches, or modifying the game. Micklemick tried to play it off as a Rotom having possessed their game, with the quote "ROTOM! ROTOM IN MY GAME!" along with a meme-worthy pose from their facecam. Both would become memes in the Veectory speedrunning community.

They were pretty nice! Looking back, I think they had just fallen and was shaken up and still waking up so to speak.

Was pretty nice, I didn't get a wish (mainly bc I couldn't make up my mind on something after it 'asked' me, again I was 5) but I don't really care that I didn't. I just thought it was cool :D
