I haven’t really been feeling the muse for Whitebeard lately, and I don’t know why.  I don’t know what I’m going to do with this blog, because I can’t think of anything that’ll make it more exciting.

“I’d watch that tone, Buggy.  Don’t think ye can be so brash with me, boy!”  Though as he said that, Whitebeard was grinning.  He knew Buggy was a tenacious little bugger.  “I should be askin’ ye the same thing!  Me an’ me crew just docked here to resupply ourselves.  I didn’t see yer ship out in port at all.”

It had been a while since he had seen the older pirate. The pirate who had been close friends and rivals with his own Captain way back in the day. He didn’t often seek out the man, preferring to spend his time just sailing (Not to mention that the older pirate sometimes seemed to forget Shanks wasn’t ten anymore). However, the current turmoil in the world was causing some concern. 

It seemed, as his sandaled feet hit the deck of the Moby Dick, that Whitebeard was in quite the jovial mood. That was good. Perhaps a discussion would be more fruitful if they were able to hold a regular conversation.  

Plus, as he saw the alcohol being poured, it looked as though Whitebeard was offering to treat him. He did bring another offering of sake from his hometown, perhaps once the rum was gone they could taste some of his own favorite nectar? 

“I’m glad you asked,” he didn’t hesitate to drink, “It has been a while. But I wanted to ask you something. The winds these days, they feel strange- don’t they?” 

“Aye, an I don’t like it.  It’s like a nasty storm that doesn’t show any signs o’ stoppin’ or slowin’ down any time soon.”  The elder captain took a swig of his drink.  “I wonder what it could mean.  It could be a sign o’ the times.  All these new pirate crews showin’ up and seeming ta come out o’ nowhere. 

Some wanna pay tribute ta me; others wanna test their mettle and try ta fight.”  A chuckle escaped him.  “They got some brass balls if they think they’ll win, but I like their moxie!  If only more pirates were like that, aye? Gurarararararara!!”
