An ant and the dove
An ant was very thirsty. He went to the river bank. He began to drink the water. Ho! An ant fell into the water. He cried aloud for help.
A dove sat on the branch of a tree nearby. She saw the ant in danger. Soon she plucked a leaf and dropped it near the ant. The ant climbed on to the leaf and saved his life. The ant looked at the dove thankfully.
Days passed. One day the ant saw a hunter. The hunter was aiming his an arrow to the dove. The ant ran to the hunter. He bit the hunter's foot. The hunter turned in pain. He lost his aim. The dove flew away.
Moral : A friend in need is a friend indeed.
