Finding your instructor!
When seeking private instruction, you should expect that your first interview (lesson) is just that.
Basically, an introduction to safety protocols, not necessarily just at the range with the guy you paid to teach you stuff. His job is to make certain that when you leave you have learned other things besides, grip, stance, sight alignment, breath control, trigger squeeze, and trigger cycle.
That they teach you that this is a lifestyle addition to the current lifestyle you are in. You need to understand home, family, and work dynamics as well as the universal safety rules, etc.
The instructor you hired is basically responsible for what you learn and needs to make you aware of the decisions you make at home should be without negligence.
