This last weeks I've been trying to reduce the size of my backlog. To do it, I started with sd kits!

The Side-F SD Nu Gundam was built with my partner, we still have to build the Side-F SD Sazabi.

With the SD Gundam Unicorn I tried to paint some of the parts, the reason? I hate most of the stickers, specially the anthens (maybe it's because I'm even worse at putting stickers on than painting)

I guess this is a start and I hope to improve (I am currently working on some Chopper kits from One Piece and already painted some of the parts)

The last one of this post is the most important: HARO!

I try to collect Haros and adding some of the Gundam Base exclusive was nice (I really wanted to find more Haroplas on the trip to Japan, but there was a drought on the hobby stores)

These kits were built on spring 2025.

Japan travel - Gunpla recap (2/2)

Back again to report the other half of the travel.

One of the days was dedicated completly to Akihabara shopping. We decided to follow Gundampixel guide to Akihabara (he upload a lot of Gundam content to bluesky!) and it was a loooong day full of Gundam shopping.

Most of the stores have a lot of kits on display, which make it a really nice visit even if you don't buy any kits. My favourite stop? Otachu. The store's decoration it's amazing (all pictures here are from Otachu) and many different kits (I found a 7eleven Nu with a great price). The pricing can be a little weird, but you can find cool things.

Sad thing about the day? We were unable to buy paint due to traveling by plane (not even water based), but at least we could buy some gundam markers.

We also visited the Gundam GQuuuux pop up store (a bit small and no kits, but we bought some gatcha)

One of the best days was the trip to Fukuoka to visit Side-F! We took a bullet train from Osaka and spent the night there (due to very little time and terrible weather we wouldn't do tourism in Fukuoka, I guess we will need to return :D ).

We were lucky to arrive to the store at lunchtime when there were hardly any people around.

There were a lot of the exclusive kits (sad thing: The RG Nu was sold out) and different merchant. There were also a lot of kits on display to make your visit even nicer.

We decided to spent the day on the Lalaport due to the rain, which allowed us to see one of the Nu night shows where they project a video on the facade of the Lalaport and there is a light show. (you can find the schedule near the Nu). Seen a night lights show with a video of Amuro and Char fighting on the LalaPort while Lala is dancing and recording a Tiktok is something I didn't expect but enjoyed like a kid on christmas day

Trip to Side-F: totally worth it. It will consume at least two days of your travel (we needed half day to return to Tokyo) but if you are into gigant robots it is something you will enjoy.

Most of the Japan haul (it is both my housband and mine). The only disaponting thing is that I couldn't find more Haro for my collection, but the three kits I found are perfect! (and impossible to find from my home)

(We also bought some action base and markers, not in pictures because this post is getting long lol)

This is all from the Gundam part of my travel! Being both into Gundam it was something we needed to include in our first Japan trip.

Japan travel - Gunpla recap (1)

Last March I got married and wen to Japan on my honeymoon. Of course, being two Gunpla lovers we did several Gunpla related stops.

First day (and also our anniversary as a couple), after fifteen hours on a plane, we arrived to Tokyo, left our luggage at the hotel and then we went straight to the Gundam Base in Odaiba.

The Gundam Unicorn was so astonishing in real life... Travel worth it only for this.

The sad part about this day: It was a Sunday and we were unable to enter the Gundam Base Shop, we were only able to enter the small annex near the Unicorn.

There was a Gundam Café truck and we enjoied some Gundam drinks (and kept the bottle) while waiting for the time to see the Unicorn transform

We went back to Odaiba on our last day of the trip early in the morning only to discover that it was a bank Holiday and we couldn't enter the shop in the morning.... We had to spend the whole day on Odaiba (Really crowded due to a festival and we were unable to find a place to eat) and wait until the evening to try to enter the shop... Luckyly, we could enter!

The gunpla stock was low, but you go to this place as a museum, they have A LOT of kits displayed and we took our time to enjoy it. We had to cancel some plans to be able to stay on Odaiba and enter the shop, but as a Gundam fan, I think it was worth it (If you go, please, don't go on a weekend or a bank holiday... Weekends is lottery system all day and bank holidays have lottery to enter in the morning, check the calendar, don't be as dump as we were)

We did other gunpla related stops (Side-F in Fukuoka and our Akihabara shopping), but I will leave the recap for other post and also show our small shopping.

It's been a while without updating my Gunpla log!

This Ground Type from Gundam 08th MS Team (one of my favourite shows) was mainly build on March 2025 (stopped because I travelled to Japan for two weeks) and finished the weapons on April 2025.

Nice kit, but every time I tried to change the pose to take a picture some parts kept falling and it was annoying to fix it... Nevertheless, I am happy I finished it (it was a graduation present from my partner) and now I have the three kits I like from this show built (Ez8 HG, Ground Type HG and Gouf Custom HG) and I also have a Gouf custom MG waiting on the backlog

Next post I will show some gunpla-related memories from my travel (and also everything I bought of course)

Love the sd frame, but it is a bit hard to pose with the gun, maybe it is easier with the cs frame?

Less kits than 2023, but better results. This year I learned how tonyse the Tamiya liquid linner and improved my work with the files.

On 2025 I want to work on details, and maybe start painting? It would be nice to reduce the size of my backlog, but I am going on holidays to Japan this spring and that seems impossible lol

Happy 2025 everyone!

This was my last build from 2024 (I really finished it on January 2nd, but who checks). HG Gundam Dynames from Gundam 00!

I watched the anime last month (I still have to watch the movie) and this was my favourite (because Haro) . The kit was simple but nice to build (except for the stickers...), maybe I will search other kits from this serie... time will tell (I REALLY need an orange Haro)

RG Rx-78-2 v2 finally done! This kit is really worth it and I enjoyed it. Only thing is sad that the core fighter can't be shown :(

I still need to top coat it, but humidity has been bad these days, so a may need to wait until spring (I hope I don't have to redo the panel lines)

Finally put the decals on Char's Zaku (poor guy has been waiting for months, but I am a lazy person) and I also kept working on the RX-78-2 v2. I am trying to put the decals while building it to avoid the same fate that the Zaku had.

Also, some new tools. I still need to order a topcoat and thinner to clean the tamiya liquid linner I bough a few weeks ago if i am going to start using it

RG Mark II complete!

This is the first RG I build and I liked the flexibility of the frame. Also, first time with the stickers (my two MG are still waiting for them, lol)). I hate stickers, but they make the gunplas look cooler. I think that some of the stickers would be better with paint, more specific I hate how the small gold and silver points and lines look. I bought markers on those colors, next time I will test them

The only problem is that a small part of the backpack got lost will working on it, I have searched everywhere and I can't find it... well, lost while on combat I guess (?)

Next build will probably be the RX78 v2 (package still on its way home) or the HG calibarn (already started, building it with my bf)

But first.... I will put the stickers on my MG kits. I am also thinking on ordering a top coat and something to clean blurry panel lines (currently testing liquid liner for some parts)

Mark II RG build on Summer 2024

More work in progress! Only the backpack, guns and stickers left, I may be able a o finish this build on the next day off.

Most of the linner is done with markers, but I am testing the tamiya liquid linner in some parts. I still need to check how to clean the stains before using only liquid linner on a kit

My local anime store has a gundam gashapon again, couldn't resist buyung this small Mark II and build it as soon as I got back home...

Meanwhile, my RG Mark II is still in progress.

I promise I will finish it this summer... My backlog is staring at me

Bank holiday on my city means time to work on the Mark II RG!

Two more haros join the collection! I don't have more of them on my backlog so maybe... time to look for a new haro?

Starting my first RG gunpla! This was a present from my boyfriend when I finished university last year, I love Gundam Zeta!
