Here are Ying’s palettes! The first one is her normal palette, the second one is amaryllis, third is hellebore, fourth is dahlia, and last is verbena. These were fun to do, but these honestly don’t look as good as my traditional piece. I’m still proud! The last four are her common skins. Those are also burns on her face and her right hand.

Here’s my Overwatch fan character! This is my traditional drawing of her, and im going to post a few more of her but with her color palette! That will be digitally. Time for some sick info on my daughter!

Name: Guiying Lin

Alias: Ying

Gender: Female

Race: Chinese

Personality: She is curious about most things! She loves to learn, and her favorite things to learn are biology and botany. She is friendly towards her teammates and likes to learn about them. She is very strong about her ideals, which sometimes leads to bad experiences. She is a true friend of omnics, humans, and everything in between. She can be too judgmental on people, especially if they have wronged her before. She is also really petty. (If there is any other things or traits you think I should include/expand on, please suggest them!)

Height: 5′6 (167.64 cm i think)

Job: She was a botanist and genetic scientist before she got interested in Overwatch. She wanted to use plants to try and clean pollution up some. She would modify plants to make them more useful for that situation.

Weapon: She uses a gun that creates tiny balls containing certain properties. Attack is similar to Junkrat’s. She can do damage, heal, and add some armor to herself and teammates. Gun is attached to tanks on her back which have the ingredients of her weapon.

Backstory: Still in progress! I’m thinking that she grew up in Beijing and hated all the pollution there. Her family would travel to far away places on vacation. The places would have a lot of nature, and Guiying got attached. She grew up wanting to make the world less polluted. When she was around 22, she was working in her lab in a secluded place, trying to create a genetically modified flower, an explosion happened. She was the only one working during the time, so no others got hurt. All of her equipment was destroyed along with her legs. She was bleeding out when some traveling omnics came by. They helped her and made her some prosthetic legs. She didn’t trust them at first, based on what she heard from those she grew up around, but she soon trusted them and wanted to make others see why they weren’t bad. (I’ll finish thinking about this! I want it to be good so im not just gonna spew stuff)

Main Attack: Amaranth- 20 damage

Ability 1: Sedum- Heals about 40 health to herself or teammates

Ability 2: Cornel- Adds about 55 armor to herself or teammates

Ultimate Ability: Birdsfoot Trefoil- 50 damage unless hit enemy recently killed a teammate. If so, then it does 75 damage.

Guess what time it is. time to talk about SHIZUKA YAMAGUCHI my Boku No Hero Academia character!! i saw a recent post that was painfully true and it talks about how most of the girls in the show aren’t as deeply developed or have deeper problems than the boys. None are shown to fight and get as beat up as Izuku, none have such dark things going on in their family like Iida, and no one has as much emotional torment as Todoroki. None of the girls have super deep conflicts. None are shown to get as gritty as most of the boys. It seems like a lot of them are just pretty faces. I really want Shizuka to be something different. i know, she isn’t canon, but i don’t care. it wont make much of a difference to anything, but has that ever stopped me? ANYWAYS this post will also help me flesh out shizuka a bit more. there will be her info under the cut along with everything else.

a lot of things here might change but it’ll be a start for my girl:

~Name: Shizuka Yamaguchi

~Age: 16

~Personality: She usually is pretty sleepy and apathetic when it comes to mundane things (or things she has no interest in). She doesn’t like to mess with people or get involved in drama, but she will step in drama if its escalating drastically. She’s surprisingly passionate about things she cares about, like friends, family, ideas, animals, and other things. She can be a lazy at times because she’s saving energy (she says “in case a villain shows up. i couldn’t use my quirk if i had no energy!”). She procrastinates a lot but knows that the anxiety will soon appear so she usually starts her schoolwork/training early. I might add more later because it is nearly 2 a.m. and i’m suffering.

~Height: about 5′7 (170.2 cm?)

~Weight: 159 lbs (72.1 kg)

~Nationality: Japanese

~School: U.A

~Year: 1st year (probs in one of the hero courses? maybe support idk)

~Hero name: The Energy Dancer

~Quirk: Kinetikinesis (Kinetic energy manipulation)

~Attacks: she can add more strength or speed to a punch or kick by transferring her energy to the attacking limb. If she makes contact with an opponent she can transfer all their kinetic energy to her, which stops them. That only lasts about five minutes at most. She doesn’t always need contact and can freeze someone by thinking about it and looking at them, but it takes up a lot more energy and doesn’t last as long. If she moves around enough, she can gain more energy and create a small energy blast. its only effect is that it knocks the near opponents back. she needs a whole lot more energy to create an energy blast which is a beam of pink, solidified energy (?? maybe). It can cause burns if there is enough energy put into it. she doesn’t always need to move around to get energy needed for the attacks and she can use stored up energy. one bad thing is is that it makes her extremely light-headed and if she takes to much stored energy she faints. it can really damage her health because it takes a toll on her body too. if she doesn’t have a specially made glove or boot, the energy beams completely destroy her hands and feet. its almost like it melts the skin?? it hurts her a lot. too many energy blasts (even without using stored energy) are really dangerous and could make her palms and bottoms of feet unhealable. things that give her more energy are sleeping, eating, and meditation.

~How she looks: She has purple hair that’s shaved on the sides and longer on the top. the long hair is pulled into a small ponytail that’s high on her head. She has light blue eyes. her eyes are usually half-lidded. depending on how i make her backstory, she might have a dark scar that goes across her eyes.

~Hero Outfit: its like a grey turtleneck tank top attached to grey leggings. there is a large ribbon that wraps around her waist and forms a bow in the back. She has dark grey boots and gloves with pink details on them. these gloves and boots help add more damage to punches and kicks and also protect her hand from getting damaged by her energy beams. the ribbon/bow is just for aesthetics but can also be used for tying up villains and criminals once they’re down.

~Likes: Sleeping, food, tea, music, meditation, animals, art, and plants

~Dislikes: Coffee, loud noises, crowds

~Extra: If she uses up too much energy, she goes into sensory overload. zones out frequently. needs to eat, sleep, or meditate after a battle.

OK SO YEA THAT’S HER ITS TIME TO GET BACK TO MY TOPIC. i really wanna make her be like the boys. she gets beat up. she has bad emotional issues, she isn’t just a pretty face. she’s a hero. she isn’t gonna let another hero do the work so she doesn’t get her hands dirty. no, she’s gonna do that job and she isn’t gonna give up.she ain’t gonna go easy on you in a fight. she’s gonna take you down at whatever the cost. because that’s what heroes do.
