“Well I like it, I think you should take it.”
“Thanks. Not exactly, it’s for just in case I do go somewhere fancy and I’ll need a dress for it.”

Ryder was awkwardly standing there waiting for Jada because what else was he going to do? Never would he though he was going to meet his girlfriend’s mother this way. And she would for sure not like him now. He was just thankful that his towel was staying around his waist at this point because he would of been far too embarrassed otherwise. And of course he knew how this woman thought of his girlfriend and he didn’t appreciate it at all.
He was trying his hardest not to make a snarky comment abut her eyes being on his body instead of his face but he was smart enough to bite his tongue. “Living in sin? No.” He replied, he wasn’t afraid to speak up to tell her she was wrong. Ryder shook his head at her next comment about praying, she was definitely far too much of a bible thumper for him to even handle but here he was. Unfortunately. “We don’t plan of having kids, besides I wouldn’t think that would be an issue. We have everything we need.” He told her. Ryder huffed and yelled up the stairs again. “Hurry up! I want to get dressed!” He called up to the blonde.

“Well I haven’t gotten into any trouble lately and I am kind of missing it, plus I miss the deputy at the NYPD office already.” He said with a small pout on his face. “Nope, I was actually trying not to laugh. But on the bright side, I’m positive they got the message.”
“Oh god, why do I feel slightly afraid of what you have planned for their car?” She asked, laughing softly as she spoke. “You know, this is the first time someone told me my road rage was fine. I thought for sure you were going to freak out when I started honking my horn at the car that cut us off.”

“Mate, did you grab the wrong ones?” He muttered in question as he played with the camera he was using.
“Are these things supposed to be this tight? Because I don’t know if I can get it any higher.”

I know that I am most definitely going to be there to support you. I think it would be fun to finally see you live.
I’m excited that I finally announced my summer tour yesterday and can talk about it pretty openly now. I hope to hear that you’ll be attending my New York show.

“I think you’re fine, besides if that ends up happening just let me know and I’ll do something much worse to his car.” He said with a playful smile. Even though he was kind of serious about it.
“–Sorry. My road rage is a little ridiculous. This is why I told you not to let me drive.” Audrie spoke, laughing softly, as she parked the car. “You don’t think that person is going to find me and key my car or anything? Do you?”

And from hearing Jada rant about her mother on the days she would get frustrated and annoyed. Ryder knew how religious this woman was so that was one strike, she also hated tattoos, strike two and not to mention he was naked and he and her daughter weren’t wed. He’s out. The male tried his damn hardest not to roll his eyes one he heard the rude remark come from her mouth. And honestly? he should of predicted something of the sort. Ryder knew that he wouldn’t get along with this woman, ever since he’d answered the phone a few months back.
He found it humorous at how wide her eyes had gotten but kept silent about it, Ryder closed the door once she came inside. The man thought about making a detour to the laundry room and getting dressed but he didn’t exactly trust this woman in his home. Ryder did actually laugh as she made the comment about him looking so young, he couldn’t help it. “Definitely not. I’m legal, but I will just take that as a compliment instead of an insult.” He spoke back. “But if you must know, I just got out of the shower -- you literally just knocked at the wrong time.” He added, leaving out that Jada was also in the shower. “But -- I also live here most of the time when I’m not away.” Ryder told her bluntly.

“I wish I was the one born with common sense, considering what happened the other day..” He mumbled with a shake of his head. “Nah, I can’t commit a crime from over the phone so I think we’re fine.”
“Maybe it was a bit of both. Baby me was a wildcard.” He shrugged. “I can do it if you really don’t want to.”

“I think I would look weird as fuck doing yoga...”
“So I know we said we’d do legs today, but I’m so sore from last night.. Think we can do like cardio or maybe just yoga or something??” Eloise groaned.

It was quite clear that the both of them were rather uncomfortable. Him being practically naked and her being a middle aged woman staring at a young male with a nothing but a towel. Ryder shifted as the cold breeze from the open door hit his chest, but of course he was going to put up with it until he sorted this situation out. When the older woman began to speak -- he recognized the voice almost immediately. This was his girlfriend’s mother, and this definitely wasn’t the greatest first impression. And admittedly, he was wondering how the woman even found the house. “Oh um --” was the only thing that left his mouth when she had asked if Jada lived there. He was far too busy freaking out to pay much mind to what she’d said.
Ryder snapped out of it a few minutes after as he heard the woman she she must of had the wrong address. Any other time he probably would of let her walk away but he wasn’t going to with her coming here in the freezing hold; he had somewhat of a heart. “She does live here,” he said quickly before the woman had the chance to walk away. ‘’Do you uh, want to come in or something? It’s a little cold...” He trailed off. As Ryder let the woman decide if she wanted to accept his offer, he walked over to the stairs to holler up to Jada. “Babe, it’s for you!” The male yelled up, he would of alerted Jada that it was her mother but he didn’t want to be rude and his phone was upstairs so he was out of luck.

“I still think baby you was trying to smother baby me so only one of us made it into this world,” he huffed stubbornly. “Let’s hope so, because I really, really don’t want to be the one to do it.”
“Baby me was training you for the outside world. And did baby me ever get a thank you? I think not.” he chuckled. “She’ll do it if you ask her nicely enough.”

Ever since his girlfriend had stepped down from being at the school, he really liked having her home more. It felt as if they were growing closer together because of the fact they were getting to spend so much time together compared to what it used to be like. But regardless of what she had chosen, he knew he would work around it to figure something out because he really did love her. Ryder couldn’t deny the fact that he didn’t feel love in his previous relationship but this was most certainly different, they seemed more mature with their relationship and it was something he liked.
After cleaning up because of something they thought they could make on pinterest ( really, she was making it and he was being a nuisance ), but the two of them ended up in flour from head to toe and admittedly it was one of the funnest things he’s ever experienced with his significant other. Spending a little while in the shower and goofing off, and possibly stealing a few kisses from one another the two had finally decided to get out. The male had dried his upper body and tied a towel around his waist before hearing the door. Hearing her words, it made sense that it would be one of them so he didn’t care if they saw him in a towel with his many tattoos displayed. “Yeah,” he obliged, pressing a kiss to her lips against before heading down the steps and towards the front door. Not bothering to look in the peep hole because he’d convinced himself it was his brother or Rhett, he turned the knob and opened it with a slight smile. But when the door fully opened, he widened his eyes because he has no damn idea who this was. “Hello...” He trailed off awkwardly, realizing he was in a towel and there was a complete stranger on his step.

@gtfo-ryder
Jada had loved stepping down from her job at the school. She got to spend a lot more time with Ryder, something her really needed. She had forgotten what it was like to spend time with someone she loved. Hell she was unsure if she had felt this way about anyone else in her life before Ryder. Now Ryder had basically moved it, she had went to bed every night with the young man and woke up in his arms, it was perfect. She couldn’t see her life any other way, she was completely and totally in love with him and there was no turning back now.
On this particular night the two of them were just finishing up a shower. They had gotten into a cute little fight with flour in the kitchen while Jada was trying to make homemade pizza dough. Of course it resulted in neither of them eating anything and instead flour all over their faces, bodies and hair. Escaping and enjoying a nice long hot shower with each other full of laughter and kissing they had finally gotten out. Wrapped up in a towel there was a knock at the door. “Hum, that is odd. Maybe it is your brother or Rhett? Rhett had talked about coming over and visiting you,” she went on to explain. She tied the towel tightly around her body and ran the second towel through her hair. “Can you get it?” she asked giving his tips a soft kiss as she pulled away.

“You know what I meant, smart ass. Besides, I’m glad I got out first. Mum has the sonogram photos and the ultrasound technician thought you were punching me in the head -- or trying to smother me.” He said with a shake of his head. “And if all else fails? I’ll just make Reby do it, even though she probably will protest, like a lot. And then give in because we’re her favorite family members.”
“Not true. You popped out first.” He laughed. “That should say something to him. Well good luck with the phone call. At least you know you can’t kill someone over the phone.”
