Break the Ice- Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Co-written by @bloodredruby and @watchmist1412
BTI Fanart  // Nalu cover // Gruvia cover
Words ~ 5000
Rated K+
Summary: Figure Skating AU. After an accident Gray, a professional figure skater, has to take some time off to heal and he’s not enjoying it AT ALL. What he didn’t expect was meeting Juvia, a swimmer tired of her career, even less ending up as her coach. Lucy, an aspiring figure skater, came to realize it was a whole new experience with a pink haired weirdo and his equally weird cat by her side.

<<Previous Chapter // First Chapter
Lucy winced as she let her leg fall to the ground finishing her last cool down stretch. Her whole body was burning up and her muscles felt numb.
It turns out Aquarius was very strict with her training program, who would have thought? Lucy knew very well what she was getting into when she signed up to be coached by the woman but she never expected it to be so tiring. She did exercise and practice on her own before but this was on a whole other level! Lucy was sure it would be just a matter of time before she gets used to her new training process but still that didn’t ease her hurting muscles.
She felt like each day of training was getting harder and harder. Her lack of stamina didn’t help things at all and combined with her new part-time job she felt exhausted.

New Year’s Resolutions
@doodledearest wow lol sorry this took so long, I started writing it and then lost motivation, literally just finished it today. This takes place around a year after the series ends.
“Gray-sama?” Juvia stared down at where her boyfriend was lying face-down at their booth. When he didn’t move she pouted and proceeded to gently shake him awake. “Juvia gets separated from you for such a short amount of time and you get pulled into a drinking contest with Cana.”
The ice mage turned his head to face her. “She was downing like five bottles a minute, I couldn’t keep up.”
“And that’s when you threw up, right?” Juvia pointed out. “You know Juvia loves you and will always route for you…but she doesn’t like it when you participate in her contests specifically.”
“That’s because you’re a lightweight.”
“Hmph,” Juvia pouted again, “It’s because Juvia doesn’t like seeing you sick, this isn’t good for your health.”
Gray sat up in his seat before sliding over to make room and patted the extra space to motion for Juvia to sit beside him. “I’m sorry, love, I just didn’t want to lose.” He looked down as his cheeks turned pink, something that might have been caused by the alcohol, but maybe he was embarrassed.
“Juvia knows and she loves you for that.” She said as she kissed his cheek before handing him a bottle of water. “ Juvia got this for you when she heard what happened, she also got you a mint because your breath smells terrible and she doesn’t want to give up on kissing you.”
Gray laughed and put his arm around her, in return she leaned her head into the crook of his neck, humming happily. “I love you too, I’m sorry for being an ass on New Years eve.”
“Apology accepted. By the way, what time is it?”
Gray glanced at the watch on his right arm, “Eleven fifty-five, it’s almost the new year.”
“How about we make some resolutions for each other then.” Juvia suggested, shifting herself so she could look up at him.
“What kind of resolutions?” The ice mage asked, his attention captured by his girlfriends suggestion.
“Juvia doesn’t know, she hasn’t decided yet.” She said.
“Is there really any point in coming up with resolutions?” Gray asked, “Nobody ever honors them, they always give up after, like, a week.”
“Juvia would honor any resolution you come up with for her. She hopes you would do the same for her.”
“Of course I would.” Gray assured her, but after a moment he added, “As long as it’s realistic.”
“That’s fair.” Juvia agreed, although she’d probably agree with any terms he could come up with, unless it might put him in danger, then she’d shut it down immediately.
“What’re you thinking about?” Gray chuckled, pulling her closer. “You had a serious look on your face all of a sudden.”
“Did I?” She blushed. “I was just thinking about the resolutions.”
They were interrupted by loud chanting of the guild as they began counting down the last ten seconds until midnight. “Ten,”
“Did you decide what my resolution is?” Gray asked.
“Nine.”
She giggled, “Yup.”
“Eight.”
“What is it?”
“Seven.”
“You have to wait. Have you chosen mine?”
“Six”
“Yeah, I did.”
“Five.”
“Gray-sama?” Juvia sat up and faced Gray.
“Four.”
“Yeah Juvia?”
“Three.”
“Juvia loves you.”
“Two.”
“I love you too.” And as the rest of the guild counted down the last second until midnight, the couple pulled each other into a deep kiss, ignoring what faintly sounded like someone-probably Natsu-whistling in their direction. When they finally pulled apart they both had shy smiles on their faces.
“So Juvia, what’s your resolution for me?” Gray finally asked.
“To stop drinking before you pass out for now on.” Juvia laughed at the slightly-stunned look on Gray’s face. “What?”
“You seemed so serious about it earlier, I was almost scared by what it might be.” Gray laughed too. “I feel a bit stupid now that I’m sobering up, I’ll follow your resolution, it’s definitely smart.”
“Not to sound overly confident but I think it’ll keep you from doing things you regret. Now, what did you come up with?”
“It’s a bit more serious than yours.” Gray told her sheepishly. “I want you to put up with me, I know I can be a bit naive or sometimes even an ass, but I really do love you.” He admitted.
Juvia watched him with an ever growing smile on her face before bringing him into a close hug. “Juvia loves you too and you’re not nearly as much of an ass as you think. Personally, Juvia doesn’t think you’re an ass at all, but she might be a bit biased.” She giggled. “She also loves your resolution and justs wants you to stay healthy and safe.”
Gray hugged her back. “I know, and I want the same for you.” He said into her ear as he rested his chin onto her shoulder, the blue haired mage doing the same. “Happy New Years eve, babe.”
From her place, resting on his shoulder the way he did to her, she whispered. “Happy New Year, my love.”

Hi You seem to be busy writing so I’m not sure how you’d feel about a request?? It’s not too specific but my angst loving ass was considering writing a story about the Gruvia baby being born on the anniversary of Ur’s death. I struggled because I wanted it to be a follow up to a one shot I did but I couldn’t settle on anything other than that 1 detail. I was wondering what you would do with that. Doesn’t have to be angsty.
A New Story
Summary: They usually went to pay her respects at the place Ur died every year during the anniversary of her death. That year, though, they couldn’t because Juvia was nine months pregnant and Babybuster – as Natsu started to call it as soon as Juvia started to show – could be born at any second and she knew that second was now.

Hope you enjoy it!

So here I am with another AU no one asked for but it’s done anyways and I think you’ll recognize with the gif alone.
Dragon Heart
Summary: “They had spent their whole lives at Berk. It’s twelve days north of Hopeless, and a few degrees south of Freezing to Death. There has fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems were the former pests. Most places have mice or mosquitoes. They had… dragons. [How To Train Your Dragon AU] [Gruvia]”
Tumblr media
LOL Sorry about that but with the final Season of Dragons: Race to the Edge (from the How To Train Your Dragon franchise) which was AWESOME, I had to write something (I have been wanting to write about it for YEARS, actually). LOL No, but really, watch the show on Netflix if you liked the two movies. It is set between 1 and 2 and the final episode was FULL of references to lead to movie 2 and it was AMAZING). I laughed the whole time, it’s GREEEEEEEEEAT!

I’ll Keep Your Secrets Safe - Ch. 28
AN: So this is it. The very last chapter of IKYSS. I just wanted to say a big thank you to anyone and everyone who’s supported, read, liked, commented, and/or reblogged this story over the last two years. I owe a lot to all of you. Previous chapters can be found: HERE
                          Chapter 28: It’s a New Dawn, It’s a New Day
“Psst.”
Juvia furrowed her brow and buried her head deeper into the warmth beneath her, hoping whoever wanted her would go away.
“Look,” Silver whispered. His voice was distant and came from somewhere on her left. “I think they finally sorted things out.”
“Don’t get your hopes too high, they could have passed out again,” Ur whispered back.
Juvia pinched her brow together, and let out an annoyed little huff of breath. She felt exhausted and it must have still been early. Couldn’t they let her sleep?
“I don’t think so, they look pretty comfy.”
“They’re sleeping on the couch,” Ur pointed out. “Not exactly romantic, especially since Gray has a bed.”
“It might have been a bit crowded last night.” There was a pause before Silver continued, his tone a little wary. “I think Mered spent the night.”
“He’s spent the night most of this week.” Confusion laced through Ur’s words.
Silver cleared his throat, and the room when quiet.

I’ll Keep Your Secrets Safe - Ch. 27
AN: We’ve officially hit the second last chapter of IKYSS! The next chapter has been written and just needs to be edited so hopefully it won’t take too long to post. I just wanted to thank everyone for the congratulations and well wishes towards me and my baby. All your love and support means the world to me, so thank you very much! You can find previous chapters: HERE
Chapter 27: Love Me Like You Do
Lyon practically skipped his way through the front door. New Year’s Eve had been a smashing success. He’d spent the night dancing with Mered, Juvia and Gray had finally sorted out their issues, and he punched Bacchus square in the face. He then got to make out with Mered and continue dancing. All in all, he was pretty sure tonight was the best night of his life.
He turned with a flourish and helped Mered out of his coat, before taking off his own and hanging them in the closet. “Monsieur.” He beamed and held out his hand for Gray, who handed him Juvia’s coat.
Ultear shrugged out of her own coat, and handed it to him before tramping over to the stairs. A small smile played on her lips as she turned back to them. “Alright kiddies, I’m off to bed. Try to keep it down.” She eyed them all with a playful smirk.

@graysamaswaifu replied: I like it 😍 I need a extra story about “the talk” between father snd son xD
AN: Hope you enjoy! Just remember Gray’s in his forties and much more comfortable with himself and with his family. (It was too long so I had to add the ‘Keep Reading’ thingie but you can also read it on FF.net). A follow up of my previous drabble, you can read it [here].
“Come in.” Gray heard his son’s voice from inside his room and opened the door slowly and Gris was sitting on the bed, a book in hand. “Oh, god.” The teenager groaned in annoyance when he saw his father’s expression. “We are going to talk about it, aren’t we?”
“Yes, we are going to talk about it. Would you rather I call your mother?” Gray entered the room, closing the door behind him. “One of us has to talk to you and how do you think this will go with her, huh?”
Gris’s cheeks reddened a little. “I guess you are the least of two devils.”
“Love you too, kid.” Gray rolled his eyes and pulled a chair so he could sit down facing his son. “Now, let’s talk and get this over with.”
“This is gonna suck, isn’t it?” Gris mumbled.
“Pretty much so, so let’s get started and I can leave the moment we are done.” The older Fullbuster said and Gris sighed, nodding, accepting there was no escape. “We have two things to discuss and we’ll start with the easiest one: protection.”
“Dad!” Gris’s usual pale face was red.
“Hey.” Gray told his son, serious. “I know this is embarrassing and I know you would rather be doing anything else than talking about this right now, but this is important.”
“Iggy and I just kissed, we didn’t do anything else.” Gris managed to say and Gray smirked.
“Yeah, I don’t believe that.” He snorted. “For you to get that hickey I highly doubt you two were just kissing it was clearly not the first time. How long has this been going on?”
Knowing he was backed on a corner, Gris mumbled: “Three months.”
“Makes more sense.” The Ice Mage nodded slowly. “That’s three months of sexual frustration right there.”
“Dad!” Gris complained and Gray had to bite down a smiled – his son was so easy to rile up it was funny. “I told you nothing else happened.”
“Yet.” Gray was serious again. “Nothing happened yet but it will. It might not happen tomorrow, or a month from now or even with Iggy but it will happen and the least I could do is try to do my job and talk to you.” Gris stayed quiet and Gray took a breath before speaking again – it wasn’t the best conversation he ever had, but it was his fatherly duty. “You know there are ways of preventing a pregnancy-”
“Oh, god.” Gris moaned.
“And some of those are medicine and condoms.” Gray practically cringed saying ‘condoms’ to his son, but he needed to keep going. “Condoms are safer because it also prevent diseases alongside with pregnancies. Always use a condom. Always, do you hear me?” Gray was very serious. “I don’t care if you want to have sex with a girl, a boy, three, four people, I don’t care. Condoms always and from now on I need you to always have at least one on your bag.” Gray told him. “Your Uncle Gajeel didn’t use them and ended up with the twins earlier than planned. Thankfully Gajeel and Levy loved each other and the children were wanted and loved from the first moment. Others do not have that luck.”
Gris nodded, solemn, thinking about all the orphanages he knew and were full.
“Good.” Gray cleared his throat. “I also need to tell you condoms are not a hundred per cent trustworthy. Just about ninety-nine per cent.” Gris’ eyes widened considerably. “Didn’t know that, huh? Look, nothing apart from celibacy is a hundred per cent efficient. Even if you wear a condom and the girl take medicine, she could still get pregnant. It’s unlikely, but not as uncommon as you might think.”
“What?” Gris’ little high-pitched voice was funny.
“Didn’t know that, did ya?” Gray crossed his arms and rested his back on the chair. “See? We really needed to have this conversation.”
“But… If nothing is a hundred per cent effective… what people do?”
“Play with the odds.” Gray shrugged. “I just want you to know that the odds might not be on your favor and in truth, someone’s gotta be the one percent.”
“Shit.” Gris said under his breath. “I don’t…”
“Look, son.” Gray interrupted. “I am not telling you this into scaring you into not having sex. It would be very hypocritical of me. I am telling you this so you understand the risks, even as slim as they can be. Condoms are usually fine and when do we use condoms?” Gray asked.
“Always.” Gris mumbled. “No matter with who.”
“That’s right.” The older Fullbuster nodded his approval. “I assume you don’t know how to put one on so here’s what we are going to do: tomorrow I’ll buy a box and leave here and you… well, practice.” Gray would be fighting a Dark Guild on his on if he had the option instead of saying those words to his son. “Trust me when I say that you don’t want your first time putting one during your first time.” Gray snorted.
“Oh, god.” Gris finally hid his face with his hands.
“Look, I don’t know where you’ll practice, I am sure we have bananas somewhere-”
“Okay, dad!” Gris all but yelled. “Practice putting them on, got it. Move. On.”
“Right.” Gray cleared his throat. “Any questions about it, just… you know… ask me.” Gris nodded. “Alright, now that’s covered – I guess – it leaves us with the next point, a very important one: pushing limits and being ready.”
“I would never push Iggy into doing something she doesn’t want to.” Gris told with confidence and Gray felt proud of his son – he was a good boy.
“I know you wouldn’t, buddy.” Gray put a hand on his son’s shoulder. “But I wasn’t talking about just about her limits, I was talking about yours too.”
Gris was clearly confused. “What do you mean?”
“There are two people in this: you and Iggy. You might be ready and she’s not or she could be ready and you’re not.” Gray explained. “Just because you are the guy, doesn’t mean you are ready at any second.”
Gris seemed to have something on his mind so Gray waited until the teenager was comfortable enough to ask whatever it was.
“But… uh…” His face was so red, the poor boy but if he was asking, he was feeling more comfortable, to Gray’s relief. “When I’m with Iggy, things happen… down… south?”

The Rain Woman - Chapter 13 - Frozen Water
The Rain Woman - Chapter 13 – Frozen Water
A/N: So sorry for the long wait on this chapter! I was away for the best part of December then as soon as I got back I ended up with that ridiculous flu which I’m still not over 32 days on!  It completely sapped my creativity!  Anyway, please enjoy! A big thankyou to Juvia.hanks and the guest who have religiously reviewed every chapter and to everyone else who has your continued support means a lot to me!
The rain cascaded down from the sky in thick sheets of cold, a cold that Gray didn’t notice as he lay face down in the boggy ground exhausted, both physically and emotionally, he had no idea how long he had been lying there, all he knew was that Juvia was gone, The Rain Woman was back with a vengeance.  He had failed.  He hadn’t been able to reach out to her after all.
Gray pulled himself up onto his knees slowly, his body in agony, purple bruises lined his ribs and face, cuts and gashes up his forearms and legs. Finally, on his feet Gray slicked back his sodding raven hair glancing up at the huge mansion before turning his back, fists balled, turning his back on Juvia and all hope.  He had left it too late, but surely, she had known how he really felt?  Or had he been that cold to her she had given up?  Maybe he should have fought back instead of just defending?  Despairingly Gray made his way to Rhodonia Village and soon enough back to Fairy Tail.
Juvia and Mitch walked into the mansion silently, Juvia squinted in the bright lights which illuminated the kiwi-skin-green papered entrance hall.  Mitch was muttering something to the lilac haired woman who promptly rushed off, her heels clicking franticly on the shiny wooden floor.
“I told her about the guys out front needing medical assistance.”  He smiled at Juvia, his light blue eyes almost sympathetic. “How do you feel?”  Those same eyes grazed her up and down.
Juvia blinked her eyes before looking down at herself.  She looked fine, her clothes weren’t torn, and she couldn’t see any marks on her body.  “Juvia is fine.”  She paused to stand a bit taller.  “Why wouldn’t she?”  Mitch seemed slightly surprised at the bitterness in her words.
“Er… Well, your magic, it’s powerful.  Jimquin would want me to make sure that you felt alright after using that much power.” He scratched the back of his neck uncomfortably averting his gaze down.
“Juvia is fine.  It wasn’t that much power.  Nothing she can’t handle.”  Her navy-blue eyes steeled as she walked back to her room where she fell into a deep dreamless sleep.
The watermage entered the dining room for breakfast, she had had a deep restful night sleep even though she was sure she didn’t feel tired when she spoke to Mitch.
“Good morning, Juvia.”  Jimquin greeted his daughter, staring at her as she made her way over to the table, her navy eyes full of strength and renewed energy.
“Good morning, father, Mitch.”  Juvia acknowledged each of them as she took a seat at the table.  “Is there a particular reason Mitch is having breakfast with us this morning?”  She asked curiously as she put different varieties of melon on her plate, mangos and blueberry’s. The vibrant colours sparking a hint of emotion inside her, before she could ponder further her mind was carried back to the conversation.
“Yes, there is actually.” Jimquin dabbed at his mouth with a serviette.  “I heard about last night, about that Fairy Tail wizard who tried to infiltrate us.”
“He was here for Juvia.”  Juvia interrupted him meeting his gaze, his brown eyes searching hers.
“And how does that make you feel?”  The blue haired water wizard probed.  Juvias’ eyes narrowing at the question.
“Juvia told you when she agreed to let you awaken her magic.”  Her fingers gripped the fork in her hand tighter.  “That is all in the past, Juvia has cut those ties, there is no going back.” The bluenette met her father’s gaze fearlessly.  “Unless you don’t trust Juvia.”  She spoke sharply.
“Of course, we trust you Juvia, you have already proven yourself last night, I was just curious.”  Jimquin chuckled, a smirk framing his face, the trio eating in silence for a while longer, the only sound being the clattering of cutlery on plates before Juvia spoke again.
“That still doesn’t answer Juvias question as to why Mitch is eating with us today.” She set her fork down having eaten her fill of food, Mitch had finished to, her father was eating the last of the meat on his plate.
“Well Juvia, you do remember me saying that I planned to go to Midi?”  Juvia nodded, one of her blue tresses falling out of place which she quickly righted.  “Well we’re leaving for it today; Mitch, you and I, at least for now.  The others will join us when they have recovered…” Jimquins brows furrowed and he balled his fists on the table.  “Although things aren’t looking to bright for Jack.”  Juvia couldn’t remember who Jack was, Mitch seemed to pick up on her confusion.
“He’s the lightning wizard.”  Mitch smiled at her before looking back to his master.
“Yes, it seems his injuries are most fatal, he isn’t doing well at all.”  Jimquin shook his head.  “When do you think you can be ready to leave Juvia?”  I need to get her away from those Fairy Tail wizards, they could be trouble.
“About an hour.”  The watermage felt a twinge of anxiety, like this was her final step out of what little light remained somewhere deep inside her.
“Maybe you and Mitch could spar some more before we leave, or you could just practice your magic outside, there is no shortage of water.”  Jimquin mulled.
By the time Gray had struggled to Rhodonia Village the sun had begun to rise, the darkness of night replaced by the overcast sky and still the miserable drizzle remained.
Half-naked, Gray stumbled through the streets of the sleepy town, stopping more often than he’d have liked to catch his breath, his ribs groaning with every ragged breath.  Seeing the town square closer with every step gave him hope, someone was bound to be there. Upon reaching the proud statue of the deity of nature, Gray decided to take a break on the edge of the wall surrounding it, he stared at the paved ground watching as the raindrops hit the puddles, the ripples moving out like shockwaves.  This continuous rain must be because of Juvia… how long will it be like this for?  As long as she’s here?  Gray now looked to the sky, desperately seeking some kind of answer, when something soft but wet brushed his leg.  The icemage looked down to see two familiar green eyes blinking up at him expectantly.
“Mr Squiggles….”  The cat seemed to meow in response, Gray was shocked to see the little black cat out here in the square, he seemed like the stay-at-home type cat.  Still, the raven-haired wizard reached down, wincing at the rebellion in his body as he moved to stroke the soggy fluff ball.  “What do I do…”  Gray pondered as the little cat purred.
“Mr Squiggles!”  Another shrill voice shouted his name, causing the cat to spin around facing the noise.  “I’m sorry about him-“The female voice began, stopping when her aged eyes took in the man in front of her.  “Oh! Gray dear!”  Her hands went to her mouth.  “What on earth happened to you?”  Gray felt embarrassed as she moved closer.
“It’s nothin’ honestly.”  He tried to brush her off, turning his injured body away slightly, but Mary the little old lady, was already making her way over to him.
“It isn’t nothing, you are coming back with me! I’ll clean up those wounds of yours. I’ve got some potions that’ll heal you as well.”  Mary looped a frail arm through Grays muscular one helping him up as best she could. “It’s a good thing Mr Squiggles found you.”  The cat meowed again, Gray just thought she was crazy.  How would a cat know I was injured?
The trek back to the flowery cottage felt ridiculously long, Grays whole body felt heavy, more-so his heart.  The pair walked through the little front garden gate, the flowers seemed fed up of the water their colourful petals and leaves scattered the floor.  When they walked through the threshold, Mary guided him to a little downstairs room, sitting him on the bed as she went to fetch the things she would need to clean him up after he had showered off the mud, which seemed like a second skin.
Mary returned with an arm full of supplies; cotton wool, bandages, some sort of solution and gauze. Gray let out a small sigh as he sat with a towel around his waist, covering his most private area.  Mary was humming a tune as she went about setting up the medical supplies, but Gray just stared straight ahead, his mind still on Juvias blank expressions, almost tasting the darkness, which tinged her magic.
“Uh Gray?” Mary was waving a hand in front of Grays face as he came back to reality, a blush framing his face.
“Sorry, I kind of zoned out there.”  He apologised bowing his head slightly.
“May I?” Mary gestured to start treating the raw red gashes on his arms which tore deep into the skin, Gray winced as the wet cotton ball came into contact, the sting of pain heightening his emotional state.  “So, how did you get yourself into this state?  Did you find Juvia?”  Mary glanced up as she said Juvias name, her eyes full of concern as she went about cleaning up the holes and slits where he had defended himself.
Gray took a deep breath as he began to tell Mary of how he was wrongly abducted, of how he had found the mansion deep in the woods, how it was the same wizards who had ‘wrongly’ accused him the first time were the ones to fight him, to stop him from seeing Juvia.  His voice broke slightly as he came to tell her of Juvia, of her darkness, her fierce attacks, how he didn’t want to fight back, he didn’t want to hurt her, and how she had just walked away, leaving him in the mud battered and broken.
Mary finished applying the last gauze to his ribs bandaging him up, she too took a deep inhale drawing up a chair to sit in front of him, her eyes meeting his steadily.
“That is quite the ordeal.”  Her hands clasped in her lap.  “That doesn’t sound like Juvia at all.  She seemed so polite, pleasant and caring.  I wonder what happened to her.  Did she find her father?”
“Yeah, I think he is behind all of this, I think he messed her up somehow.  I just don’t know how or why.” Gray felt himself getting irate, so he took a breath of cool air to curb his temper.
“Maybe you need to reach out to her.”  Mary suggested, her voice quiet as she too tried to process it all.
“I did.” He ran a hand through his raven hair. “I tried, I didn’t fight back, I tried to make her remember, but she was relentless, it was like all she cared about was the power in her magic.  It was so dark.”  He paused, taking a breath.  “She doesn’t want to be saved.”  Gray growled clenching his fists, causing his muscles to bunch up under the gauze and plasters straining to hold his wounds together under the force.
“Well.  Maybe you need to reach out physically.  Yes, you don’t want to hurt her, but maybe you do to make her feel something, she sounds like she’s the one who has lost all hope.  I think she needs you more than you know.”  Mary got up, putting the chair back against the wall.  “Sleep on it.”  As the cotton topped lady exited the room, a small black blur ran in jumping up onto the bed as Gray had begun to lie down.  The four-legged nuisance sat watching Gray settle down into the pillows, his tail swishing as his dilated pupils took in the dim light from the table lamp.  Just as Gray closed his eyes he felt a small weight press up against his side. Cocking his head, Gray saw the little black cat curled up next to him, purring away in comfort.  Gray grumbled grumpily, but his heart squeezed a little, the cat was cute, but he would never say that out loud.
Juvia, Mitch and Jimquin reached their first stop, Allium Town, a coastal village with a likeness to Primrose Village.  The town was given the name ‘Allium’ after the plant which can grow near the sea.  The watermage looked around the hamlet which was blanketed in darkness, the only sounds were falling of rain and the occasional hoot of an owl.  It was late, about 3am, they had travelled for hours with little rest stops for food and water.
“We’ll rest up at the inn for the remainder of the night.” Jimquin nodded towards the largest building in view, the yellow lights giving off a warming glow in the cold, damp November air.  The older water user ran his fingers through his sky-blue hair, before subconsciously pulling at the edges of his suit, as if to straighten out any creases which subsequently weren’t there.
“Yes Sir.” Mitch nodded, his dark green spiky hair which resembled that of a pink haired wizard the watermage once knew.  The green colour was a dark green, like the moss growing on the trees in a damp woodland.  Juvias eyes followed the two men as they walked towards the inn, Juvia following along behind them.
As the trio neared the building along the cobbled road, its details became clearer in the darkness illuminated by the nearby streetlamp.  The inn wasn’t dissimilar to the houses in Rhodonia, except the dark wooden beams wound their way around thick whitewashed stone not yellow.  The building had its charm that was for sure.
Stepping inside, shaking off their wet jackets – except Juvia as she only had her dress coat, no umbrella to shield her from the mood induced drizzle, Jimquin strode forwards towards the reception desk, which looked like it was once a small bar, as he moved across the short distance he gave off an intimidating aura, like a wolf cornering a deer.  Placing his hands on the edge of the desk, looking the timid woman in the eye, who in turn, looked terrified as she peered through her thin square black framed specs to meet the eyes of a monster, stammering over her sentence:
“H-how can I he-help you s—sir.”  She barely choked out, shrinking back into her chair.
“We have 3 rooms booked.” Jimquin smiled at the receptionist, not a friendly smile, a crooked hungry smile.  “The name is under Bashfield.”
“Right…. Erm.”  She poured over the check-ins book searching frantically for the name, skimming over it several times as a lock of her pink hair strayed from her bun, wafting a calming strawberry scent, allowing her to see the name Bashfield. “He-here it is.”  A clicking sound was heard as she rifled through the drawer, a jingle of shiny silver keys appeared in her slim hand.  “Rooms 3, 7 and 10.”  Pushing the keys across the small run-down bar, not wanting to touch the suspicious man.  Jimquin picked them up delicately, slipping them into his suit pocket and gradually leaned back releasing the bar from his grip.
“Thanks.” He smiled once more before he motioned for both Juvia and Mitch to follow him, Mitch went first followed by Juvia, the red carpeted stairs creaking under each step they took.  They reached the first floor into a narrow corridor which held only 10 rooms.  “Any preference on which room number?” The water wizard asked his two puppets, who both shook their heads.  “Okay. I’ll take room 3, Juvia you take 7, Mitch take 10.”  He handed out the respective keys to each of them and began to turn away, before glancing back.  “Don’t worry about being up in the morning, we’ve got a lot to do and Juvia you especially will be needing your rest.”
The watermage only nodded as her father turned and walked away unlocking the white wooden door to his room, the click of it shutting broke the silence.
“Well.” Mitch sighed swinging his arms.  “It is almost 3:30 so I’m going to hit the sack.” He flashed his key at Juvia before departing up to the top end of the corridor into room 10.
“Wait, Mitch.”  Juvia followed him up the hallway, her room was close to his. “You’re not exactly a hard criminal so what do you do for Juvias father?” Her navy-blue eyes pierced into Mitch pale ones as she pursed her baby pink lips.
Mitchs eyes narrowed and his voice stone cold. “That is not of your concern Juvia.” His voice lightened up.  “You’ve got bigger things to worry about than my position.”  Once again, he turned away and into his room.
Juvia entered her own room and switched on the light, a little lamp hung from the ceiling, flickering on and off, struggling to maintain power, before it finally settled on a dimmer setting than Juvia would’ve liked.  Looking around the room the watermage was surprised by the contents; it had the same blood red carpet which seemed to run throughout the inn, followed upwards by vanilla yellow wallpaper with brown skirting.  The double bed in the middle was plump and cosy looking, the sheets a lavender colour.
Exploring more of the room, Juvia found a small ensuite bathroom with only enough room for two people to fit side by side. Chewing on her lip, the watermage decided a hot shower would be good – however she didn’t feel achy or tired from the travels like she would expect to feel.  Climbing in, Juvia thought about the previous night, she hadn’t felt tired then either, yet she slept deeply, it was like something was overriding her brains signals spurring her to keep going.
The shower spouted out cold water, jolting Juvia out of her thoughts, a signal her shower was now over, the hot water had given up. Indifferently, the blunette stepped out the small shower into the cramped bathroom, dried off, slipping on a pale green nightie and glancing in the mirror at the hard eyes that stared back at her, the eyes of her past which now also held her future.
Gray awoke with a start; something heavy was sitting on his chest, but didn’t move as he tried to jerk up, only to be dragged back down by the pain tearing through his weary body.  Adjusting his eyes to the bright room, the sun breaking through the white curtains, the raven-haired wizards gaze was met by two big green orbs, belonging to the little black cat, who let out a short friendly half meow noise before purring loudly, Gray let out a low chuckle before flopping back down onto the pillow in exhaustion.  A glance to his left, showed Mary had left a glass of water on the bedside table next to him for easy access.  Gray just stared at the clear fluid, as his thoughts scrambled together, he was returning to the guild, without Juvia.  That thought stung, but he had tried, hadn’t he?  The conversation with Mary last night resurfaced, she had mentioned that he should try to fight back to get Juvia to see sense.  But he couldn’t do anything just lying here.  A faint knock at the door made Grays new fluffy admirer jump as Mary entered the room, shifting the icemages attention from the glass of water.
“Ah, you’re finally awake! I was beginning to get worried.”  The cotton topped elder cooed as she walked over to Gray.  “Mr. Squiggles hasn’t left your side unless absolutely necessary.” She smiled at her cat giving him a stroke.
“How long have I been out of it?”  Gray rubbed his sleepy eyes.
“About 16 hours.”  Mary mumbled, her full attention on the little black cat.
“What?!” Gray raised his voice, “16 hours?!”  His mouth was hanging open.
“Well you obviously needed the rest dear.”  Mary smiled up at him, “how are you feeling?”
Gray licked his parched lips, “I’m fine.”  He propped himself up on his elbow, trying not to grimace in pain.  “I need to go and see Juvia again.  I have to try.”  The icemage swung his legs out of the bed, causing Mr Squiggles to jump down onto the floor scowling at him.  Gray stood up, his head spinning.  “See… I’m fine.”
Mary reached out a frail hand, “You don’t look fine you’re swaying.” She didn’t catch him in time as he fell back onto the bed, hissing as the wounds threatened to burst open again.  “Your wounds are still tender Gray.”  Mary fussed, helping him to lie back down.  “I know you want to save your… friend or whatever she is to you, but there is no point going if you can barely stand on your own two feet, let alone wield any magic.  Let me find some more potions.”  Gray blushed, knowing Mary was all to right.
“Fine. I’ll stay until tomorrow morning.”  The icemage gritted his teeth.  Another day Juvia then I’ll get to you.  I will save you.
A/N: Thankyou for reading! This chapter was supposed to be longer but I had to split it in two other it would be well over 6000 words!  It’s amazing how when I planned this fic it was to be 10 chapters maybe 12 and it’s currently now planned at 17-18 chapters :-D This chapter is a build up to the next two!

Hey Bonney! How ya doinn? It looks like ur having a great time with the dolls! Could you write a little something where Gray and Juvia see a hickey on Gris and everyone is like 'Hmmm where did that come from?' ;))
AN: Hope you enjoy!
“How was training today?” They were almostfinishing dinner when Gray asked their fifteen-year-old son, while Juvia fedtheir three-year-old daughter, Rose, some spaghetti. “You were later thanusual.”
“Uh, yeah. It was okay.” Gris nodded, his darkblue hair moving but he kept looking down to his plate and Gray frowned, hisson was usually more talkative when it came down to sharing about his trainingsessions.
“Who did you train with today? The twins?”Being a few years older, the Redfox Twins usually took on the younger ones topractice.
“I… uh… I was with… Iggy, actually.” Gray’sfrown deepened when Gris’ face became red and he still refused to look up fromhis food. Ignacia “Iggy” Dragneel was Natsu and Lucy’s daughter, about sixmonths younger than Gris, as beautiful as her mother and as ‘fired up’ as herfather.
“Is that so?” Gray was more and more curiousand he studied his son more closely and he notice something purple on his son’sneck, under the white fur on the collar of Gris’ coat. “What’s that?” Withouteven thinking, Gray reached for the collar and saw a purple bruise. “Are youhurt?”
“Hurt?” Juvia finally looked up, worried. No one hurt her baby.
“No. I’m fine” Gris pushed his father’s handaway and tried to cover his wound, face all red. “You know what, I’m doneeating.”
“No, no, no, mister.” Juvia used the tone shehad mastered since she gave birth: The momvoice. She got up, leaving the plate so Rose could attempt to finish her dinnerwhile she checked on her oldest child. “You sit down and let me take a look.”
“Pleasedon’t, mom.” Gris sat back down but kept his hand on his neck. “Really, it’s nothing.”
“Let me see.” The blunette demanded and pushedGris’ hand away, earning a groan from her son, who complied with reluctance. “How did you get this?”
Gray finally took a good look at it and heraised his eyebrows; if he were not mistaken, that was- He looked towards hisson and saw the truth in Gris’ eyes and his son was pleading for him tointervene.
Apparently, his training session that afternooninvolved getting hickeys from Iggy Dragneel.
“Juvia, let the boy go.” Gray told his wife, who was fussing and clearly haven’t figure out what the ‘injury’ was.
“Our son is hurt.”Juvia told him. “Create some ice so we can put on it.”
The Ice Mage sighed. “Gris, go to your room.”His wife looked over her shoulder, affronted. “Now.”
Using his mother’s distraction, Gris slippedaway and practically ran away from the kitchen.
“Gris Fullbuster, return right now!” Juvia saidonce she noticed the boy’s absence.
“Let him go, he wasn’t hurt during practice.”Gray said and took a glance at Rose, who was happily making a mess with herfood and completely ignoring the boring adult stuff.
“He was hurt.”
“Not while practicing.”
Juvia frowned. “What?”
“Remember when we started dating and after awhile we would just make-out like crazy?” Gray asked, trying to lead her intothe answer.
“Yes.” He frown deepened. “What does it have todo with-”
“Remember the marks we left each other withwhen we were way into it?”
“Yes.”
“Compare it to Gris’ injury.” He told her andwaited.
Gray saw the moment she realized what happenedto Gris because her eyes widened in a comical way and she looked scandalized.
“It can’t be.” She shook her head. “He’s a child.”
“No, he is a fifteen-year-old hormonalteenager.” Gray snorted. “Trust me, nota child. No, Rose, princess. Careful.” He told their daughter when she picked aspaghetti and tried to eat it but fell on her lap. “It’s not a big deal, Juvia. The world is not going to end like it was back when we were that age, he can bea normal teenager.”
“But…” Juvia was still in denial and confusedas she sat on Gris’ chair, next to Gray. “He’s… Juvia’s baby.”
Gray sighed and put a hand on her thigh. “Iknow he is, but he’s also growing up. He can still be your baby and a regular teenager.”
“Why are you so calm about this?” Juvia asked.
“Because my son was out there making out with Natsu’s daughter and he’ll go insane once he hears it and I brag aboutit.” Gray chuckled and Juvia rolled her eyes with her husband’s sillycompetition with the Dragon Slayer. “Besides, I am glad he is going through theregular stuff, without things like Zeref’s goons and the man himself making ithard to.”
“Juvia is glad he is having a normal childhood, but… it seems I held him for the first time yesterday and now he’s making outwith girls!” The blunette said with a sigh.
“Kinda proud of that, actually.” Gray chuckledwhen Juvia slapped his upper arm. “What?I was understandably concerned: I thought he took after me on that departmentand would wait until he was more than twenty to find a girlfriend. Turns out hetook after you.”
“You werea late bloomer.” Juvia admitted. “Good for Juvia otherwise you could’ve foundsomeone else before you met her.”
Gray snorted. “Please, You had a boyfriendbefore and we’re still here. I know enough now to understand we would end uphere regardless.”
“Took you long enough.” Juvia leaned and gavehim a peck on the lips. “You do knowwhat Gris coming home with hickeys means, right?”
“That he’s got a girlfriend?” Gray asked, gladit was Natsu’s daughter. Oh, the fun he’d have once the Flamebrain found out.
“No, it means you will go in there and have aconversation with him about limits and about” she glanced at their daughter “the birds and bees.”
“What?” Gray said at the same time Rose giggledand started to happily sing-song “Bees, bees, bees.”
“Oh, yes.” She nodded. “You are very proud ofour son, but now you need to make sure he knows everyone has limits – himself and Iggy-chan – and he better respect them. Not that Iggy-chan wouldn’tburn him if she felt uncomfortable, but even so. Our son needs a reminder he’sa gentleman.”
“Okay, but I don’t need to have the talk with him anymore. He knowswhere babies come from.” Gray was exasperated.
“Does he know how to prevent babies to come from where they come from?” She asked andGray seemed unsure – they had the talk with Gris when he was eight and it justcovered the basics. Sure his friends might’ve tell him but he couldn’t becertain.
“Maybe… not.” He granted the point to his wife.“A minute ago you were surprised he was kissing girls and now you are concernedwith” Gray glanced at Rose “s-e-x?”He spelled.
“Someone has to. Juvia is way too young to be agrandmother and it appears he took after me when it comes to relationships.”Juvia had started dating way earlier than Gray did. “Add that to the teenagerhormones and there we have it.”
“Point taken.” Gray nodded. “I’ll talk to himlater tonight, he’s too embarrassed now.”
“Alright.” Juvia agreed and glanced at Rose.“Gods, I can’t believe we will have to go through with that again in abouttwelve years.”
Gray frowned and when he understood her words,he groaned in annoyance. “She’s three. Let’s not worry about it for now, please? One kid at the time.”
“Yeah.” Juvia nodded. “Besides, girls can benaughtier than boys so it’s good we started on the easier one.” The blunettestarted to take the plates from the dinner table. “At least we know and likeIggy-chan. I still can’t believe my baby is so grown up.” She whined.
The Ice Mage’s frown only got deeper, glancedat their daughter, who smiled brightly at him, blue eyes sparkling, dark curlyhair in ponytails. So pure and innocent.
“Uh… what do you mean girls can be naughtier thanboys?”
“Remember Juvia at seventeen?” The blunetteraised an eyebrow. “She didn’t do anything, but she would’ve done lots of naughty things if you’ve givenher the light of day.”
“Oh, my poor princess.” Gray looked at his babygirl, eyes wide. “Please, take after me.”
AN: Hope you liked the littleFamily!Gruvia time and Juvia being protective over their son! HAHA

“Come on, Juvia.” Gray Fullbuster said to his wife as they strolled through the park. “We behaved at the market.”
“Pleeeeeease, mom?” Gris asked, offering his mother his best puppy eyes. “Let me train with dad just for a while! Dad didn’t even take off his coat at the market!”
Juvia Fullbuster sighed, knowing she was outnumbered and they were right, they did behave while they shopped.
“You look way too much like your dad, Gris-chan.” Juvia sighed looking at her son; even though he inherited her blue eyes, his hair was a little wavy and dark blue instead of her husband’s black, Gris looked so much like her Gray-sama she couldn’t believe she gave birth to the most handsome little boy in the world.
“Pleeease, Mom?” Gris begged. “Please, please, please?” She looked up and even Gray was looking at her with pleading eyes.
“It’s really not fair when you two gang up on me.” She told them and took the bags with their purchases from their hands. “One hour and dinner will be ready and you two-”
“Will be there.” Gray was quick to tell her. “Right, Gris?”
“Yes!” Gris’ dark blue hair moved as he nodded.
“Alright, then.” She told them and smiled when Gris hugged her middle quickly and Gray gave her a kiss on the cheek. “We are having a talk about what ‘family days’ means, later.”
“Father.” Gray pointed to himself and then to Gris. “Son. See? Family.” Juvia couldn’t help but to chuckle at his logic. “I promise tonight we’ll do something you want.”
“We should try and have a girl so Juvia won’t be outnumbered.” The Water Mage tested the waters.
Gray looked at her for a moment. “You know… One hour training hardly equals 'new baby’ in a compensation scale. I was thinking something alongside games or whatever.”
“We will talk tonight.” She smiled and gave him a peck on the lips and Gray’s cheeks warmed up a little.
“Can you two stop being gross?” Gris complained making a disgusted face.
“Sorry, honey.” Juvia chuckled. “One hour and please, mind your clothes.” She kissed the top of her son’s head. “Behave.”
“I always behave.” Came the boy’s response.
Gray snorted. “Liar.”
“Bye bye.” Juvia looked over her shoulder, smiling and saw her husband waving good-bye while their son celebrated the free hour to spar with his father.
She loved her boys so much and she was really happy with her life, even when they wanted a break from 'family days’.

Hey Bonney! Happy newyear! How was your new years eve? I hope you had a great time! So I don't know if you know TVD but there was this thing where Stefan and Caroline couldn't touch each other because of some curse. Could you maybe write something like that with Gruvia, like where they can't have skin to skin contact and they need to lift the curse. If you're interested obviously ;) Also I hope you have a great 2018!
AN: I hope you have a great 2018 too, darling! I don’tknow if this is what you had in mind but I hope you like it.
It didn’t feel like winning.
They had won over a Dark Guild, after a longand hard fight but the moment they went to celebrate, she walked to herboyfriend and when they hugged, he bent over in pain and she panicked.
It took them a few minutes to understand it washer touch that sent him in pain. Hearing the commotion, their friends arrivedand Natsu was the one to try to touch her to test the theory it was Juvia whowas inflicting it.
The moment Natsu took his hand away from herforearm with a hiss, Juvia put her arm close to her body, eyes wide andconfused. One of the men they had defeated laughed and went on and on about howone of their members casted curses and that man had been the one Juvia fought.
It didn’t matter how much they tried to getinformation out of the guy, he didn’t know how to break the curse and the manshe fought had ran away.
Polyuska and Levy’s research would help hermuch more than to stay in a small fishermen village so they decided to go home.
Juvia walked a few feet behind everyone just tomake sure she didn’t touch anyone while Gray went through some books they foundat the Dark Guild to find some type of clue and he was getting more and morefrustrated.
Gray looked over his shoulder and saw the WaterMage with an arm around herself, holding her arm as if she was afraid oftouching anything, her eyes downcast and shoulders dropped. His heart broke atthe sight.
“Alright, let’s stay here for the night.” Graysaid, closing the last book just as they arrived at a clearing.
“There’s still daylight for us to keep g-” Erzatried to say, but Gray glared at her.
“We arestaying here.” He said, his usual fear of her gone for the moment, knowinghis girlfriend needed his support, and then walked to where Juvia had stood, away from them. “Hey, Juvia. We are staying here tonight.” He said whilegetting closer and when she noticed, she took a few steps back.
“Don’t come any closer.” She told him and Graystopped on his tracks, a few meters away from her. “This distance is fine.”
Gray raised an eyebrow at the distance. “Ihighly doubt you can touch me within this distance.”
“Just to be safe.” She muttered. “Juvia doesn’twant to hurt you again.”
“This is not your fault-” Gray stepped closerwithout even thinking and she shrieked.
“Stayback!” All of their friends stopped making camp to look at the couple andGray looked surprised for a moment. “Please, just… please, stay away.”
Knowing she was scared and hurt with the curse,Gray started to speak to her slowly, trying to calm her a little. “Now that’s adifferent tune from every moment since we met.” He said. “From the first momentwas all about you trying to get closer to me.”
She couldn’t help but to snort a little anddidn’t step away when he got closer but he stayed in a reasonable distance. “Wejust need to get to Magnolia and then I am sure Polyuska can do something and Levycan research stuff too. We won’t rest until this curse is lifted.”
“What if it can’t be lifted?” She asked, looking at him, afraid and for a second, he got scared as well.
Usually, Juvia was the one who was optimist andcheery but that day, he would have to be the one to cheer her up.
“It will be lifted.” He told her with certainty.“It will take a few days at most.”
“A few days.”Juvia sighed. “This… is going to be hard.”
It would, he knew, and it would be even harderfor Juvia. She was a very physical person, especially since they started datingand not being able to touch anyonewould be torture.
He needed to find a way to-
Suddenly, he had an idea and told her to wait asecond while he took off his backpack and took a coat from inside and put iton, a pair of gloves right after and he could feel Juvia’s confused stare onhim – it was a hotter day and he hated to use too many clothes, more into taking the clothes off.
“Alright.” Gray nodded to himself once he finishedwith the coat’s zipper, he stepped closer to her.
“What are you doing?” The blunette took a stepback, eyes wide.
“I’m coming closer.” The Ice Mage told her. “It’sskin on skin contact we can’t have. My skin is covered.”
“But…” Juvia was confused when he put his armsaround her and she tried to push him away. “No! You can’t.”
“Juvia, I’m notin pain.” He told her, not loosing his arms around her and she stoppedstruggling, finally understanding him. “See?”
“Oh.” She finally relaxed a bit since theyfound out about the curse and so did Gray.
Ever since they started dating and had morephysical contact, Gray found out how he could relax by simply be held by Juvia. She had some kind of power over him and for once, he didn’t feel as if it was aweakness.
She was wearing her usual hat so he could resthis cheek on top of it, one of his gloved hands caressing her hair.
“It’s just a few days at most.” He repeated.
“Okay.” She whispered. “Can… can we do this afew times during those days?” Juvia asked, knowing full well she would need itand so would he.
“Sure.” Gray agreed and then said, in a whisper.“By the way, you are so awarding me later for this. I am wearing too many clothes and I just went all mushy infront of our friends. In front of Natsu. Do you have any idea the hell I’mgoing to get for that?”
Her giggles were his reward and for those, he’dpass the humiliation Natsu had in mind a hundred times. Just a few days and shewould be alright again, he’d make sure of it.
AN: We all know Natsu will make fun ofGray. HAHA Sorry if Gray was a bit OOC here, but he was trying to cheer up hisgirl lol
