specifically the bit on tired hands. always reaching out to grab onto something, whether conscious of it or not. the feeling of threads and fibers being woven into each other. the irresistible feeling of skin-to-skin contact. clinging desperately to the sensation until moving on to experience the next.

cuddly shadow creature s/o who is cold to the touch + human who is weak to the heat

you have a weakness to hotter temperatures, ranging from general discomfort to higher risk for things such as heatstroke. so, you gravitate more towards the cold.

your partner is a manifestation of the lack of light and heat, which makes them incredibly cold to the touch. because of their nature, they generally have a very low amount of energy and find that they love seeking it from your warmth. naturally, this makes them very affectionate as soon as they become fond of you.

the summer typically consists of you laying sprawled on your bed or couch, often keeping cold drinks on nearby end tables and setting your fan or a/c on the highest settings. that is, until your shadowy partner comes to the rescue and scoops you into the coolness of their many tendrils.

on winter nights, they’ll often be the one requesting warmth from you when they notice any other potential energy sources outside have frozen over, and more often than not you are happy to oblige. it is not uncommon for you both to rest in the other’s embrace.

being with this creature makes blankets so much more enjoyable! you can finally snuggle under the cozy fabric without needing to worry about sweating or overheating.

while heat does pose a risk to your safety more often, the creature is still well aware that you are also vulnerable to hypothermia. if you start shivering when you’re near them, they’ll back off kindly and make sure you get back to a proper temperature.

overall, you two come with mutual benefits can find comfort in each other’s presences.

i could be fantasizing about being absolutely obliterated in the cover of night like a normal monsterfucker. but no. tell me about your passions and memories and unfathomable existential fears beyond the human experience

My feelings about monsters is more than just sex. Loving them is just as important, if not more because if I don't love them then how can I love myself? To look past the nightmare and see the beauty that lies beneath. All I want to do is make them feel as loved as I do, even if they might not exist

i don’t think i’ve seen enough media under the “person with a curse finds love” concept where both parties are cursed. and i don’t see enough monster-lover stories where the one who falls in love with the monster possibly turns into one themself. (if you all know about anything that falls into this concept please please recommend it to me i will eat that shit with a fork)

i already love the dynamic where people can love others in spite of their flaws, but what about confronting one’s own flaws as well?

it’s about loving others and loving yourself, addressing both yours and others’ needs and understanding the differences between them, even finding solace in those who are similar to you!

(don’t) open your eyes really decided to have me fall in love with my sleep paralysis demon by having them summarize my entire personality and inadvertently call out every single psychological dilemma i’ve ever been in.

a dynamic i thought of

so idk if someone already thought of this (if you have then i appreciate you greatly bc we need to see more of this imo) but

both partners are any kind of monster. maybe they’re werewolves or dragons or literally anything else that’s distinctly inhuman. mix & match even

partner A was born with their monster features OR they were human but cursed really early on in their life. either way they’ve gotten quite used to not looking human and is (mostly) comfortable with that. bonus points if they’ve tried to distance themself from their humanity as a result

partner B was recently cursed OR they have an innate monstrous nature that’s just suddenly starting to manifest itself. being a monster is new to them and they’re still trying to adjust to the fact that they’re not wholly human anymore.

both of them find an immense amount of solace in the other; A reassures B that they’re still very lovable and that they’re more than monstrosity, B reassures A that they’re still capable of sentimentality and getting the connection they need. they each take the other’s needs into consideration and overall it’s just really wholesome

both of them are beauty and both of them are the beast.
