what if instead of having a fake name for internet personal-life purposes we could have a fake name for professional work-life purposes
#this is so real tbh#i have approximately 6 different names/nicknames that are all highly contextual#my birth name is rebecca and many of my family members call me thag despite my best efforts#becky is a nickname i begrudgingly accept that a few family members and high school friends call me#becca is reserved exclusively for little kids who cant pronounce rebecca and if anyone else calls me that ill kill them#beck is my school/work name bc it's the only acceptable nickname of my birthname that i can actually stomach#some of my friends still call me it bc they met me when i still preferred it and i couldn't be fucked to correct them#but my actual preferred name is raven and it's what i exclusively go by online and with new friends#ray is a nickname of that and also something i love to be called#but then i have one specific group of friends that started using the spelling rae with me and i also dont care enough to correct them#basically it's a fucking dice roll what people will call me#ive toyed with the idea of using ray as a nickname for rebecca at my next job but we'll see#god i really rambled in these tags huh

Just watched the banned Moon Girl episode.
>the episode addresses the topic of trans kids in sports >the entire episode is about how bigots will always move the goalpost, and playing by their rules is pointless >the solution is not to play their game and break the rules >it also states that trans people should never feel like a burden >the character Brooklyn is explicitly stated to be trans >there is also an explicitly nonbinary character >multiple mentions of pride and depictions of pride flags, trans flags and progress flags
I'm not at all surprised this didn't get past the censors but I'm so mad that it didn't, because this could've been something really special, and the fact it was canned after being fully finished is downright painful. This episode was wonderful and I'm grateful to all the people who worked on it, and angry that their hard work was wasted. Disney did not deserve you.
