How to Break in a New Tarot Deck
You just got a new tarot deck and can't wait to use it! Take a quick pause, though. You can take a few steps to connect with the deck so that insights your receive are more meaningful.
Use Your Sense of Smell
Find a scent, perhaps a candle or some incense, to help set your mood. You can even associate different scents with different decks!
Use Moon Vibes
Set your deck out during a full moon or the new moon, or set it beside the window.
Use the Occasion
Start using the deck on a special occasion. Maybe you choose to use it on Solstice, or at the beginning of a month. You could even devote a specific deck to shadow work exclusively.
Use It on Your Altar
Refresh your altar space by either putting your deck there to charge or putting your individual card pulls there to remind you of different focuses.
Use It While You Sleep
This one's easy - just put it under your pillow!
