Imagine being non black, and calling Obama an oppressor on par with Thomas Jefferson. Imagine not caring about the school being named after a slaver and pulling this.

Thinking about how the main argument against Black Superman is, "These Black characters already exist!"
Yeah, okay, but there are a billion white superheroes too. I wish people would just come out and say they're just afraid of their comics getting too Black.

I’m the wrong person to argue with about Syria or any of that. Take that up with Joe Biden; not Black and Brown Americans, ya daft ass dumbfucks.
Same goes with any Black and Brown Americans. Work on that antiblackness in your own countries before this faux ass outrage about Syria and quit thinking all America is is a bunch of white people living here.
And many of y’all will definitely go “ BLM!” and “ SAH” in the same fuckin time while speaking on shit you didn’t bother to look the fuck up.

Question:
Why do non-Americans find school shooting jokes to be funny?

Many Non Americans are so ignorant of current events in the US. And it shows in how they elect to prioritize who's concerns matter and the level of blatant misinformation they share just because they can't be bothered to listen to a marginalized American that doesn't agree with them.

So black people have some kind of "visibility privilege", but still face the majority of hate crimes, police brutality, and violent racist opposition to any protest that is even remotely seen as supportive of black people. And again, people still are killing us and getting away with it and folks aren't sure if murdering us counts as a crime. Right.

Killing "imperfect" black people is still murder. We shouldn't have to keep saying this but folks don't get it.

More like a site that is notorious for finding excuses to purge black activist tags suddenly managed to find "Russian psypops accounts" that were almost all black people, based on laughable evidence and supported by bloggers who had been called out for antiblackness in the past. These accounts were only accused of being Russian bots months after Hillary lost to Trump. And many people were accused of being psyops accounts just for having a history of criticizing Hillary or police brutality and many had a long history of sharing pro black news.
People are rightfully skeptical and it's kind of silly to try to erase the racial implications of what happens and the actual context in order to make it seem likewe are just a bunch of gullible tumblr users who can't decipher. The fact that folks want to act like that is what is happening but won't admit to being gullible enough to believe every black blogger was a Russian bot just because Tumblr said so is kind of off putting.
The truth was that there were likely some trolls but it wasn't the investigative breakthrough people claim it was and folks were calling out how suspect this was back when it happened because it was less about actual Russian bots as much as it was about how they scapegoated and delegitimized an entire community of black bloggers, undid years of online activism, and now you can't even be black and call out someone's favorite politician without folks accusing you of being a bot. Meanwhile the same folks who were okay with how this happened were sharing links from actual white supremacist websites disguised as progressive sites without even the slightest bit of vetting.

It’s best to avoid the articles that just tries to put Black Lives Matter against Stop Asian Hate because they’re literally designed to just add negative bullshit and not address why this is happening. Not enough talking about how white supremacy is the problem.
And stay away from people who wanna make this into “ if I did X then YOU should do Y”. Those types just are not even here for the actual movement and wanna cause drama. Avoid them too.
One can support both. We know racism and homophobia is wrong at the same time so definitely try and protect your mental health and do some avoiding if you have to.

It actually really frustrates me how voter suppression isn't a priority for liberals or leftists, even with the history of Black voting rights and it's ties to civil rights or the fact that white Republicans are using police violence to dissuade any kind of black resistance to this law. And a lot of leftists will go on about "well they shouldn't be voting anyways, they should be organizing" as if black people didn't have to organize and sacrifice lives to vote in the first place and these new laws are actually dissolving the progress black people organized for, and it's not just about voting. They ignore the fact that Jim Crow started with the violent removal of black voting access and the arrest black politicians.
They really expect black people to deal with this, power through it and show up, face all of the backlash and abuse from local government, and still manage help them win their elections or join their protests.
You’d think the Democrats would be on top of trying to stop Republicans doing a bunch of voter suppression but I’m sure it’ll be something to dangle in front of Americans when midterm season comes around.

It's starting again. Kemp did this before, about 10 years ago, Georgia charged at least ten black people either felonies because they were mad at the amount of black people voting in a school board election. This is how they will intimidate black voters on a massive scale.
