My husband has become a prisoner of the Israeli occupation😭😭

After we were besieged in Rafah for more than four days, the tent was demolished over my heads, my children, and my husband, and we were able to miraculously escape. For those whose story of escape was not complete, because they were able to capture my husband and he is now their prisoner after he was injured in his feet from the bombing. My family is now without a father, without a breadwinner for us, in light of this war and this catastrophic famine. i know this is old news but its not because the genocide of palestinians is old news and current news. today, april 2025, israel ordered the evacuation of the partially-functioning al ahli baptist hospital and bombed it, the same hospital that it bombed in october 2023 and killed nearly 500 people and then denied it, smeared everyone who would "dare to accuse israel of bombing a hospital," released false voice notes with fake actors pretending it was hamas operatives who accidentally bombed it so that news outlets could no longer report on israel bombing hospitals without having to add "hamas-run health ministry says..." to provide doubt on accounts of palestinian suffering, and then eventually just bombed every single hospital in gaza anyway

right now they're still bombing the hospital, but they did order the evacuation first. the thing about ordering a hospital to be evacuated before bombing it is that it proves you are destroying hospitals for the sake of destroying hospitals. the other thing about ordering a hospital to be evacuated is that it still kills all the critical patients and all the patients who need it anyway in an area where a hundred people are being killed daily. already a child has reportedly died while being evacuated.

that's kind of the point of targeting hospitals. its the point of targeting so many and so frequently that you can keep palestinians suspended in a state of genocide, while everyone else who reads about is suspended in a state of helplessness and confusion. they bombed a hospital? didn't they already bomb that hospital? was it really them who bombed it? i didn't know those people were still alive and those hospitals were still functioning. patients died wheeled out in a hospital bed while the ER was lit on fire? ah, didn't that already happen before?

Eidolon Fan Playbook: The Gemini

Inspired by Persona 5 and We Know The Devil, The Gemini is a playbook for Eidolon: Become Your Best Self 2e focused around the character having two Eidolons that they can switch between at will. One of their Eidolons represents a deep secret that they are trying to keep, and the other represents their desire to hide it. The core of the book is deciding how much of yourself you decide to show to the important people in your life, and building those relationships through emotional vulnerability.

So around the end of August last year I played We Know The Devil for the first time and it permanently altered my brain chemistry as it does for most people. This happened around the same time that a big moment happened in Eidolon Ska with Kacey's Eidolon, Gemini Yachiyo had come out and I was still going feral over her little side story. All of these were swirling around in my head while I was going around looking for apples for work and coalesced around Goro Akechi. I started thinking about what was so compelling about him to me, and settled on that mainly what I like about his character is how hard he works to have the world see him as a perfect detective prince instead of the hurt, angry kid who was discarded until he became a living weapon. I tend to really like characters who hide behind a mask like that anyway, but the extra interesting thing about Akechi's case is that he puts so much energy into maintaining this facade that he effectively gave himself an entirely new Persona because of it. So I wondered what it would be like if there was a Playbook in Eidolon that let the player do something similar, giving them two Eidolons that were both related to something important about themselves that they weren't able to or ready to be open about. Keeping a secret close to your chest and only letting the people you trust in is a very compelling narrative to me, and so I started writing the Playbook that was in my head. A lot of where I came from on a design perspective was from my time playing a lot (Like. A Lot.) of Masks, and running Thirsty Sword Lesbians, so the book does have a lot of that emotional influence in it. I'm really happy that I feel like it's finished enough to share with people, I think I did a pretty good job, and I also hope that people will enjoy it!

"I trusted the wrong person at a time when I was trying to send the money home to my dependent, elderly parents and was trying to move out of my one room apartment, where the ceiling is leaking and affecting my health.

Now I’m trying to survive for the sake of myself and my elderly parents--my father 79, my mother 72, both retired. We don’t have a financial safety net. My mother has severe degenerative joint disease with spinal spondylitis and is preparing for a knee transplant (~6 lakh INR or USD 7,000). If anything were to happen to them—or even to me—I don’t even have money to fly home to look after my parents. I don’t even have enough to afford food, and because I haven’t been able to pay for my medication, I’ve been struggling with insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Without my antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds, I haven’t been able to sleep at all. My health issues including GERD are worsening, but I’ve had to skip treatment."
