In times of a national pandemic, cocktails should certainly be considered a helper.Äą S. Yeah, the news is kind of bleak, but if we can find one good thing, we can finally get cocktails-to go. Rogers learned to âlook for the helpers.â Weâre taking that mindset and using it quite liberally. Note: Bite-sized pieces of cooked chicken may be added to soup before adding the rice. When he was a boy and saw scary things on the news, Mr. Pass the pepper mill at the table for additional zest. Taste for salt, and keep warm until ready to serve. Stir the mixture into the soup and cook over minimum heat, without boiling, until the soup thickens to coat a spoon. Slowly add some of the hot broth to the egg-lemon mixture, beating steadily. Continue to beat, gradually add the lemon juice. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer until the rice is just tender, not mushy, 12 to 14 minutes. Gradually add the rice, stirring constantly until the broth boils again.

You could fire guns akimbo at an enemy, similar to Laura Croft, and then juggle them in the air like your Street Fighter character of choice. In its place, they made a game around exhilarating combat influenced by 3D action games as well as Capcomâs own fighting games. With Capcomâs best led by Hideki Kamiya, director of RE2, and producer Shinji Mikami, they took the framework of the original Resident Evil (exploring a haunted mansion) and removed the key element (limited resources). In 2001, Devil May Cry rose from the ashes of a doomed Resident Evil sequel that would eventually turn into RE4. For technical details and an overview of the series, read on.

Steam power
#Steam power series
Wanting to improve on the performance of his engines, Watt began considering the use of higher-pressure steam, as well as designs using multiple cylinders in both the double-acting concept and the multiple-expansion concept. When, in the early 1800s, other companies introduced high-pressure steam engines, Watt was reluctant to follow suit due to safety concerns. Watt's early engines were like the original Newcomen designs in that they used low-pressure steam, and all of the power was produced by atmospheric pressure. Watt's partner Matthew Boulton began developing a multitude of machines that made use of this rotary power, developing the first modern industrialized factory, the Soho Foundry, which in turn produced new steam engine designs. This was a key moment in the industrial revolution, since power sources could now be located anywhere instead of, as previously, needing a suitable water source and topography. This made it useful not only in the original pumping role, but also as a direct replacement in roles where a water wheel would have been used previously. Watt continued working to improve the engine, and in 1781 introduced a system using a sun and planet gear to turn the linear motion of the engines into rotary motion. The new design was introduced commercially in 1776, with the first example sold to the Carron Company ironworks. All of these changes produced a more reliable design which used half as much coal to produce the same amount of power.
#Steam power series
Notably, Watt performed a lengthy series of trials on ways to seal the piston in the cylinder, which considerably reduced leakage during the power stroke, preventing power loss. Watt worked on the design over a period of several years, introducing the condenser, and introducing improvements to practically every part of the design. The result was the same cycle as Newcomen's design, but without any cooling of the power cylinder which was immediately ready for another stroke. At the end of the power stroke, the valve was closed so the power cylinder could be filled with steam as the piston moved to the top. The condensing cylinder was water cooled to keep the steam condensing. After the power cylinder was filled with steam, a valve was opened to the secondary cylinder, allowing the steam to flow into it and be condensed, which drew the steam from the main cylinder causing the power stroke. Watt realised that the heat needed to warm the cylinder could be saved by adding a separate condensing cylinder. When the cylinder was warm enough that it became filled with steam the next power stroke could commence. Watt noticed that it required significant amounts of heat to warm the cylinder back up to the point where steam could enter the cylinder without immediately condensing. Atmospheric pressure on the top of the piston pushed it down, lifting the work object. Then the cylinder was cooled by a spray of water, which caused the steam to condense, forming a partial vacuum in the cylinder. At the end of the power stroke, the weight of the object being moved by the engine pulled the piston to the top of the cylinder as steam was introduced. The first steam engines, introduced by Thomas Newcomen in 1731, were of the "atmospheric" design. The Watt steam engine design became synonymous with steam engines, and it was many years before significantly new designs began to replace the basic Watt design. Steam engines of this kind propelled the Industrial Revolution in Great Britain and the world. EYEHATEGOD TAKE AS NEEDED FOR PAIN INSERT SERIES
âWill That Never Diesâ drops things down for another soulful journey through the murk, mainman Kirk Windstein doing everything he does so well: mountain-crushing riffs, vocals pulled from the depths of despair, a love of rockinâ out hidden underneath it all. This song is memorable, moving, and crushes like a ton of bricks. When the breakdown drops at 1:53, forget it. I mean, check out ultra-classic âAll I Had (I Gave)â: itâs uncharacteristically speedy but sacrifices little of the massive Crowbar power, and when things get slower in the chorus, itâs huge. But this album is.ÄȘnd while this band has had several stellar lineups, itâs hard to find any fault with this one, these four guys absolutely locked in to each other here, musically and, if I may, vibe-wise. And thatâs what Crowbar do best, and while their debut album-1991âs Obedience Thru Suffering-was massive and impressive, it wasnât quite the actualization of what Crowbar was capable of. The opening riffs of lead cut and Crowbar classic âHigh Rate Extinctionâ set the mood right away here, the band managing to be outrageously heavy while also hitting all the feels. Itâs not uncommon for a band to really develop their sound fully on their second record (buy me a beer and I can talk about this happening at length in the hair-metal scene), and thatâs exactly what happened with Crowbarâs self-titled record and Eyehategodâs Take as Needed for Pain.Ä«ut which one is the ultimate early-NOLA sludge masterpiece? Find out in todayâs misery-loving, feedback-drenched, swamp-dwelling sludge edition of Fight Fire With Fire. Theyâre both massive statements of intent that laid down the groundwork for what the groups would do over the ensuing decades. Both are from NOLA sludge legends, both are the bandsâ second records, both are from 1993, both are when the band in question really came into their own. It wasnât until I was pitching this to my editor that I really connected the dots between these two albums. Plus, we love these sorts of exercises, and also love watching you battle each other to the death in the comments, so how could this possibly end poorly? Yes, these albums are the best of the best.

Humble pie cabernet
Though itâs more subtle flavor acts as an excellent backdrop for the caramelized onions and Italian sausage, it runs the risk of being overwhelmed by the bolder notes of full-bodied red wines. A good place to start is the consideration of the sauce, which is ranch with hints of bacon as opposed to traditional marinara. The Great Ranch and Potato pizza is a little trickier to pair, as its delicious, award-winning uniqueness makes it unlike any other pie out there. Check out this page for more information on affordable Sangiovese blends, and keep in mind that many of the wines featured there would also be excellent pairings for other meat-heavy pies (such as our Butcher Shop specialty pizza). Sangiovese blends contain both the tannins and acidity necessary to do the trick â many of the wines made from these grapes feature distinct, fruity flavors that beautifully complement the heavy spices of pepperoni. The flavor is so strong, in fact, that many wines simply arenât sharp enough to cut through. The nationâs most popular pie is beloved for a reason â the strong flavor of pepperoni goes perfectly with the more mellow and grounding notes found in the accompanying cheese, sauce, and crust. By following this link, you can find a selection of highly-recommended and affordable GSM wines thatâll make your classic pie really sing. We recommend a red CĂŽtes du RhĂŽne or GSM blend, thus named because it features a combination of Grenache, Shiraz and MourvĂšdre grapes. That being the case, youâll be best served looking for a wine that complements the richness of the tomatoes and the balance of the accompanying spices. Though the cheese might feel like the focus of a âplainâ pie, the real spark of flavor can be found in the savory sweetness of our signature sauce. Donât know a cabernet from a cabinet? Not to worry â below, weâve collected our favorite pairings for some of our most beloved pizzas, combinations thatâll make your next Romeoâs night feel like a four-star dining experience. We like to think that our award-winning pizza have helped herald this evolution, and we also believe that thereâs nothing quite like enjoying one of our signature pizzas with a perfectly paired wine. As a result, pizza has become something of a culinary darling â and foodies the world over are reaping the benefits of these more sophisticated slices. Talented dough-tossers and sauce-slingers have taken the humble pie to new heights through the use of quality ingredients in new and delicious ways. Itâs an exciting time to be a pizza lover.

Big league dreams
Safety and protecting the economic health of our community are the Townâs priorities. Unfortunately, the Town has lost confidence in BLDsâ ability or willingness to honor the terms of its agreement, and the Town Council has terminated BLDâs contract. In 2005, the Town of Gilbert entered into a contract with Big League Dreams Gilbert, LLC (BLD) to operate and maintain the Townâs beautiful, first-class sports park. The Court noted that, in determining whether to close the Park, the Town relied on the opinions of two independent structural engineers, as well as the recommendation of the Town Engineer. Specifically, the Court found that the Townâs decision to close the Park was both lawful and within its authority. On January 29, 2018, the Court filed a minute entry order denying BLDâs request for an injunction. The preliminary injunction hearing was held on January 23, 2018, where the Court took testimony from BLD and Town staff to determine whether the Townâs decision to close the Park was unlawful, arbitrary, or unreasonable. In response to the Townâs closure of Elliot District Park in July 2017 due to significant safety issues at the Park, BLD filed a motion for preliminary injunction requesting that the Court order the Town to reopen Elliot District Park and allow BLD to resume operations. For general information about park repairs, and other frequently asked questions, please see below. Groove agent acoustic agent
GROOVE AGENT ACOUSTIC AGENT SOFTWARE
GA5's increased velocity layer limit is made good use of (some sounds have up to 20 velocity layers) and a good collection of presets configure GA5's mixing options to deliver a wide range of acoustic drum styles. It was sampled with high-end equipment in an equally high-end room. This is based around a combination of Pearl and Yamaha drums and predominantly Zildjian cymbals. GA5 certainly ticks that box and the highlight is a new acoustic drum kit simply called The Kit. Of course, the first thing most potential new users or upgraders might look for is new sonic content. The ease with which you can audition, for example, a number of different kick or snare sounds in place, while your project is in playback, is incredibly useful. It does take a little while to get your head around what's possible, but the new Load Panel is both flexible and powerful. While this doesn't do much to counter the 'compact' nature of some of the controls and buttons, it does mean that you can, for example, make more room for detailed sample editing or for the pattern editor.ÄȘs well as acoustic and electronic drums, GA5 also includes percussion instruments via the Percussion Agent.Second, the UI now offers an integrated browser (called the Load Panel) which can be docked or floated. First, the UI is now fully resizable, whether used stand-alone or as a plug-in. However, GA5 brings two significant UI changes that, in different ways, help on this front. That's great for existing users familiar with the interface but, equally, means that it can still be somewhat daunting on first encounter. The overall look of GA hasn't really changed. In short, for users looking for a single solution for all their drum needs, GA4 was already a good bet and, in retaining that core functionality, GA5 remains so. Multiple audio outputs are also supported. You can, therefore, build your own kits - acoustic or electronic - within Beat Agent. If you want additional content, Steinberg have a series of genre-based expansion packs for sounds, patterns and styles.ÄŻor the Acoustic and Percussion Agents, the user gets plenty of mix options for tweaking the sounds (although not direct access to editing the samples themselves), while the Beat Agent provides very detailed sample editing, support for velocity layering, sample import and excellent options for slicing audio loops. There is also a very neat Style Player system for easy triggering and performance creation as well as a comprehensive MIDI pattern editing environment. As well as a substantial collection of sounds, there is an excellent set of 'styles' (collections of preset MIDI patterns) in various musical genres, and these can also be assigned to a pad system for triggering. In brief, that means you get three different drum Agents - Acoustic, Beat and Percussion - any combination of which can be loaded into the four Agent slots in a single instance of Groove Agent. However, the core functionality found in v4 - and summarised in the June 2015 SOS review - remains intact. The focus here will obviously fall on the new and improved features in the v5 release.
GROOVE AGENT ACOUSTIC AGENT SOFTWARE
With software as deep as Groove Agent, any review is only likely to scratch the surface of what's possible. So, if GA4 was the 'ultimate drum studio', where do you go from there? With Groove Agent 5 now with us, what have Steinberg done to take their flagship drum tool to an 'even more ultimate' status? Status Quo With a very deep feature set, and multiple 'Agents' covering electronic drums, percussion and acoustic drums available within a single instance, it certainly staked a pretty good claim for the 'best all-round drum tool', combining elements found in the likes of virtual drummer products such as Superior Drummer/EZ Drummer and virtual MPC-style drum machines. GA4 was certainly a very significant change from previous GA-badged virtual instruments. How do you improve on the ultimate drum studio? Steinberg attempt just that with the latest version of Groove Agent.īack in 2015 Steinberg tagged Groove Agent 4 as the 'ultimate drum studio'.
