The weird one - Joe Mazzello x reader

A/N: I’m sort of just throwing this together from an idea I’ve had and I don’t know if this will be any good at all but this is my first post on here and my first time writing for Borhap at all so I guess I have to start somewhere. Also I just finished writing this when my wifi went out and I couldn’t get it to work, I had to restart my laptop and I thought I lost the story but luckily I had left it in the word counter I was using I’m so relieved. Anyway this story is all fluff and free from adulty things. That is all I suppose.. read on dear mortal.

Joe's Pov

I watched as the snowy trees passed by excited to see the boys again we are staying in a cabin for a weekend and even better Lucy is bringing her friend y/n who I might have just a bit of a hopeless crush on that everyone but her seems to have noticed.

I grabbed my bags from the trunk of the car and start up the path to the front door stopping about halfway there when I spot a h/c in black jacket face down in the snow, her arms blocking her face from actually touching the snow. She is a little ways away from the path near a tree, I was about to run over there to her when Gwil and Ben appeared in the front doorway calling for me “Hey mate you alright?” Ben asked probably spotting the slightly concerned look on my face so I ran over to them instead.

“Hey how was the ride up” Gwil asks hugging me as Rami and Lucy came up behind them “Magical- but now is not the time for that! which one of you murdered y/n and dumped her body in the front yard!?” I point at her accusing them over dramatically obviously not really suspecting them but still a bit concerned, what is she doing out here its so cold.

They laugh at my reaction and Ben steps forward “Oh I don’t think you need to worry about that too much, she was just inside reading on her phone when her she started tearing up we asked her what was wrong but she said she needed a minute alone so we decided to just leave her for now” Ben explained “Bit eccentric that one, she often does odd things like this she’ll come back soon” Lucy added and they started to go back inside “You coming Joe?” Rami asks me “Uh Yeah just give me a minute” I say wandering off the path towards y/n and Rami follows the rest inside.

Your Pov

'What a cruel world I can’t believe they would do that to me I just wanted-’ your thoughts are cut off by footsteps coming near you.

You can feel the person hovering over you crouching down and humming in thought ‘Joe? no he can't see me like this, what is he doing anyway?’ you stay still “The body doesn’t appear to have any wounds.. NO Y/N!! who could take my one true love from me like this” his voice gets weaker and he sniffles before beginning to fake sob over you body you laugh softly and weakly turn over reaching your hand out to grasp Joe’s shirt.

Joe hooks his arm under your back cradling you “J-joe please never forget that I-I” you let your head go limp and fall to the side letting out a soft sigh “Never forget what? y/n no” Joe shudders and starts to fake cry again resting his forehead against your shoulder.

You start to giggle opening your eyes and Joe keeps his position and starts to laugh as well, you both pull away and look at each other and start laughing again.

Joe stands and holds his hand out to help you up, once standing you start brushing the snow off of you and Joe clears his throat “So the others told me that you were tearing up before you ok?” hes asks sounding sincere this time making you remember what you just read “No! they killed me that jerk!” Joe gasps dramatically “So you were dead! who did this?” you look up at him “In the fanfic I was reading I died and it was so sad and- wait who told you I was tearing up?? I’ll kill them why did they have to tell you of all people!” you quickly shut yourself up and look down at the snow “I didn’t mean that in a bad way I promise” you say desperately and Joe stays quiet, you start to panic.

“Well then could you explain what exactly you meant then?” Joe asks sounding a little hurt now. You look up at him “It’s embarrassing thats all I meant I promise” You try to explain yourself searching his eyes for any indication of anger.

Joe chuckles and you tilt your head to the side confused “You were reading fanfic? who was it about?” he asks smirking “None of your business” you huff and Joe laughs at your reaction.

You start to shiver Joe notices and brushes away some snow that had fallen onto your hair before pulling you close to him and wrapping his arms around you “We should go in now yeah?” Joe asks although you have a feeling the question is rhetorical so you just nod, you could use some hot chocolate anyway.

You try to pull away from him but he tightens his grasp “Wait one more thing” Joe says softly as he leans in slowly connecting his lips to yours. You crush is kissing you you are surprised to say the least you had no idea he liked you at all, if he does, maybe- wait no just enjoy this.

You wrap you arms around his neck and lean into the kiss “About time!” you hear Ben’s slightly distant voice call out and you and Joe part from the kiss looking at each other before turning towards Ben who is walking down the path so he doesn't have to shout.

“Aww the weird one has finally found a more sane match” Ben says smirking “Hey!” “Relax Joe I was referring to you” Ben says “You better have been” Joe threatens jokingly “So what’re you doing out here?” Joe questions “Oh right I was sent out to tell you two that there’s hot coco if you guys want it” Ben explains “Yes! lets goo!” You say excitedly bouncing up and down as Joe and Ben both laugh at your reaction and Joe wraps an arm around your waist and leaning down to kiss your cheek and whisper in your ear “You are definitely the weird one”
