Why should a rapist, abuser, and/or pedophile, the scum of the earth, be able to continue his life with nothing more than a slap on the wrist, while the innocent victims are robbed of theirs — often in the literal sense when the trauma has driven them to suicide? And their autonomy, hope, trust, and dignity eroded? This is why I will never take you seriously if you tell me the damage fake accusations have on men is as equally severe as the actual crime. Whether it’s merely one person’s words, or concrete evidence - society and the justice system will ensure that a man will never feel the consequences of the pain he’s inflicted on women. Apparently there’s a “kids shouldn’t be allowed in grocery stores” thing being spread on TikTok because they might scream or run around and look yeah that’s annoying but at a certain point you’ve gotta just put up with kids being a little annoying in public. I really have to praise OWCA's writing in Phineas and Ferb. It fits perfectly well in the zany world of PnF to have an entire organization staffed by animals with silly hats, and their mission to fight evil is easy enough for a kid to grasp, while being a brilliant parody of James Bond and the spy/secret government agent genre as a whole.

But then you also have all these jokes about bureaucracy, and the workplace, and how it treats its agents and interns that it can also be a satirical take on work culture that might go over a kid's head but can be funnier and relatable when you actually start working and realizing that you're not so different from Carl who doesn't get paid or Perry who gets overworked constantly with little to no vacation time.

And if you really wanna dig into it, there's also the moral/ethical implications of raising animals to fight crime, stalking people for committing the crime of going grocery shopping and putting cameras in the bathroom (with how much of a hot button topic government surveillance is now), systematic workplace discrimination towards its animals (Monogram canonically has no filter about proclaiming humans are the superior species, nor is any animal in OWCA represented as a commanding officer), and how they can just rip families and friends apart with the stipulation that they can never see each other again.

don’t know who needs to hear this but AO3 comments section is not Letterboxd. giving unsolicited criticism to a fanfic writer does not make you a “fanfic critic” because there’s no. such. thing.

giving unsolicited criticism to a fanfic writer just makes you a spoiled, rude, entitled asshole at best, makes the author stop posting their works altogether at worst.

a reminder that it’s always okay to just stop reading and quietly click away from a fic if at any point you feel like you don’t like it for whatever reasons. unless specifically asked, there’s no need to tell the author, whose work you read for free, how you dislike something they wrote for themself for fun.
