Today, Strike Back (The Last Battle of Shadowmoth pt.2) aired, making 26 episodes that have aired so far and season 4 complete! 

WE DID IT EVERYBODY!!! FAREWELL TO SEASON 4!!! 

I have to say… I definitely had a lot more fun with this season than season 3, both viewing wise and blog wise! The follower jump was INSANE, and what with the ml waiting gang, regular anons, and silly little inside jokes, the community we built has made this blog all the more meaningful for me!! It’s been a blast as always, so… here’s to this blog’s third year running and 2nd completed season (and my personal 6th year with miraculous… I’ll never be free from this show huh). I cant wait for the many more seasons to come!

Anyway, enough with being senti-mental (haha… get it? No? Ok) As you may have guessed, my blog name WILL change to fit season 5, but only once the English Dub for Strike Back airs (March 12th at midnight EST, or 10:00 am if you’re watching it live on Disney Channel), and all season 4 business is, for the most part, therefore officially closed (we still got streaming site news to share after that!). As for what im doing during the hiatus… I’ll make a FAQ and a pinned post soon! ;)

But now that we’ve come to a close, let me just leave you, for the last time, with the….

I HAVE WORDS ABOUT MIRACULOUS LADYBUG

how can a season finale be so good, but have almost no lead up in the season?!

Like yes there was several puzzle pieces throughout the season but I feel like 75% of season 4 was filler.  And I wonder if part of that is just because it’s now on Disney and Disney wants things to be filler.  I meant there was a lot of character building, but for them to push all of the team members, we didn’t get to see them work that much as a team until the end. 

Was it just me or was it with each episode we got to see maybe 2-3 minutes of content that would lead to the season finale. But it left more questions than answers which I guess is good but also very frustrating.

Like I love the set up for season 5 and I hope season 5 is a lot more intense and we get to see A season worthy of the cliffhanger we just got left on. 

I really feel like this season finale could’ve done fantastic if it was in the middle of the season because I just feel like I watched the entire season (& I may just go re-watch it all in order again) but the arc being that intense just came out of nowhere. Ugh could you have imagined how amazing this season would have been if that amount of effort was put into every single episode?!

Maybe it’s just me thinking this way. I get it it’s a show for kids and kids like filler but shows with writing from pre-2010 had development and filler at the same time with some amazing writing. (& they all followed the same Weekly Monster/problem to solve trope). I still love the show & I’m still totally going to be invested, I just feel like out of 26 episodes in the season, 6 of them were important. All of them were entertaining except for the stupid comedian one. 

 that’s it, that’s my rant. I just had to express words about a children’s show and this is the platform to do it. 😂😂

honestly tho that scene in the incredibles where mr. incredible sees the names of all the old super heroes that used to be his friends / that he knew from Back in the Day and how every one of them has been killed by syndrome is such a chilling scene for so many reasons 

like for one, everyone he knew is dead at this point and has been killed on the same island he’s at now and two, its heartbreaking bc that means that almost every hero wanted to try out being a hero again despite the laws against it and wanted to try and help someone out and relive their glory days, only to be straight up murdered like fuck that scene is just so fuckin intense

Mainly I’ve been seeing people tear Raya and the Last Dragon apart on Facebook Groups - the epitome of toxicity, I know but I’d also like to point out that in some of my favorite universes...

Harry Potter is so similar to the plot of the Worst Witch (1974) Rowling refuses to comment on it.

The Lion King series is basically Lion Shakespeare (Hamlet and Romeo&Juliet)

^ I would also argue that Black Panter lowkey reminds me of a human Lion King Plot. I’m not hating on Black Panther tho, it is my favorite Marvel Movie ever.

Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Nior’s NYC episodes - most of the major screen time American hero’s were stereotypical personalities coming from DC’s Batman, Robin/Nightwing, & Superman and Wonder Woman without actually being Batman, Robin/Nightwing, & Superman or Wonder Woman.

That being said, Marvel & DC comics trade off ideas like a third grader at a sleepover with their Halloween candy haul.

Having similar ideas, or wanting to base something off the same culture therefore having similar clothing, habits, etc happens. It is what it is.

It honestly feels like the writers of Omniverse never watched any of the previous series and are completely unfamiliar with the characters. 

Making thoughtful and romantic gestures aren’t out of character for Kevin at all! Kevin has gone out of his way to do sweet things for Gwen all the time. He picked her up from school every day, stores things for her in his garage, and -one they made a big deal of- he gave her an antique locket with a picture of them together in it. 

Kevin is very thoughtful and very romantic. 

But I don’t know why I’m surprised. Omniverse has done so much worse to Kevin than just underscore his thoughtfulness and affection.

Disney’s new Raya and the Last Dragon is so much like Avatar the Last Air Bender it’s not even funny - seriously look at the trailer. But ima roll with it because I LOVE ATLA & LOK, so welcome to the fam my new baby.

Seriously y’all no need to make a fuss over it. Hell make a head cannon that it’s the same universe or an alternate one if you want���� I love seeing a character that’s fiesty & smart & badass like Korra & Katara. They’re why I love ATLA. As long as ATLA creators don’t come out against it for copyrights I’m happy to support it. And considering they’re both based on an existing culture I don’t see that happening.

So again lemme enjoy my new animated baby 🥺❤️

They did an AMAZING job, it’s beautiful. The music, the animation, storyline. So much fluff. SO MUCH.
