Pre-relationship:

Now, let it be known that I struggled to pick between Trey and Idia. The reason I chose Trey was because I felt he would be a more communicative partner, which I think would work better for you. Anyway, onto the actual matchup: 

I imagine at first, Trey finds your politeness a relief amidst the chaos of Night Raven’s general populace. He’s not taken with you, nor offended. He simply appreciates your conscientiousness for others. 

Then, you happen to be in Heartslabyul when he’s making a sweet treat, and he offers you a bite. You and your sweet tooth can’t resist, and even though you don’t jump with joy and happiness when eating his food, he can tell by your expression that you’re delighted with what he’s made. 

And so whenever he makes something sweet, he puts one aside for you to try whenever you’re around. 

Is it a little bit because your pleased expression makes him feel good? Yeah, but he also likes having a taste tester around. 

Eventually, you start to get a bit more comfy with him. When you tell a joke or quip to him the first time, he’s taken aback, but laughs with his whole chest. 

From them on, you two have a very sudden best friendship. He appreciates how polite and courteous you can be, and loves that you have learned to joke around with him. 

Now, he’s not nearly as invested in your hobbies as you are, but he is willing to listen to you. And in exchange, he’ll tell you all about baking and the merits of regular dental hygiene. When you don’t shy away from his passion, he finds himself getting just a bit giddy. 

The person you become around him almost feels like a secret he should keep to himself - YOU almost feel like a secret he should keep to himself. 

Oh no, he thinks, I’ve fallen for her. 

Confession: 

Trey is endlessly nervous about confessing to you, as cool as he’d like to seem. He’s always been a bit worried about how he’s perceived, and suddenly realizing that he’d like to be perceived as your boyfriend has thrown him for a LOOP. 

He asks Riddle for advice, but finds that he has to do this on his own. 

And so, during one of your usual tasting sessions, he offers you a heart shaped tart, and stares at you lovingly as you eat. 

When you point this out to him, he just comes out and says it. He wants you to know; he’s been dying to tell you, and the smile on his face says it all. 

Relationship:

Trey is nothing if not an attentive boyfriend. He’s something of an expert in you, by the time you get around to dating. He knows how you’re feeling from one look alone, and thus always doing his best to help or heal you however he can. 

Mostly, this is alleviating your anxiety, whether by talking through it or just hugging.

You two spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking together, just enjoying one another’s company and chatting away about whatever you please. 

He’ll watch anime with you, even if he doesn’t get it. Although, I have the feeling he’d like all those ones about cooking and competitions. I think he’d be eager to watch those with you. 

Given the Playful Land arc, I also think he’d be totally down to go to amusement parks with you! He wants to ride the rides and try all the food and play in the arcade with you - and he lets himself laugh and be himself freely with you. That’s what he values most: how you make him feel completely comfortable in his own skin. 

And he does the same for you! You two have a relationship built on love and genuine respect and support, and that’s very hard to find! You two make it work flawlessly, though.
