Filbrick used to threaten to send Stan and Ford to the circus when they misbehaved. Stan was like 65% sure he was joking and found it kinda funny and even makes the same joke with Dipper and Mabel sometimes but Ford was genuinely affected by it and had nightmares about it

since identical twins generally can't have one twin with polydactyly and one without it i made up a joke headcanon that the stan twins originally both had polydactyly on one hand but Ford stole Stan's extra finger in the womb because he wanted to be God's specialest snowflake. do not take this seriously it is a joke headcanon for a reason

what drinks gravity falls characters use to stay awake I think (it's just the Pines family cause they're my scrooblies)

dipper - drinks coffee cause he thinks it makes him look cool and mature but literally cannot stand the taste without filling it with sugar mabel - mabel juice, which is basically just every pink energy drink she can find mixed together with a bunch of random candies and plastic dinosaurs. essentially battery acid. stan - black coffee and cigarettes ford - loves coffee but will drink literally anything to stay awake. keeps caffeine pills on him at all times to use in a pinch. banned from mabel juice.

Ford has tourettes with mostly "hup" and head jerk tics. But he gets the occasional chest or head hitting tic as well. It doesn't effect his legs as much though he wishes it would switch lol.

Dipper has tourettes as well but experiences more complex tics like quoting shows or full body tics.

Mabel has chronic tic disorder with vocal tics, she's had one motor tic before in her life and it was doing jazz hands, she's never mentioned it to anyone.

Stan doesn't have tourettes but faked it when he was impersonating Ford. Now he stims with similar movements to Ford's tics after 30 years of faking it.

hear me out. aroace + oblivious about romantic/sexual advances ford pines and also billford that's completely one sided. bill is flirting with ford on the regular and ford is just like oh wow my muse is so kind :) i sure love platonic compliments ^_^

cut to after weirdmageddon (where ford has a chance to think about their relationship without a. bill manipulating him or b. bill being an active threat) and ford's like Wait a minute. he was HITTING ON ME?????

the stan twins are both bipolar, but ford has bipolar I and stan has bipolar II. whenever Ford has a manic episode he becomes fully convinced he can invent scientifically impossible things. he once went a week without sleep trying to "cure death". the perpetual motion machine was also the product of manic Ford (I personally headcanon that it would've broken anyway because the thought that everything him and Stan went through was for nothing brings me joy as an angst enthusiast)

Manly Dan's fears of the Man-o-taurs come from the fact that he, like Dipper, underwent training with them. And Dan got far enough to be asked to slay the Multi-bear! But by sheer luck, Dan barged in on the Multi-bear while he was singing his favorite pop songs in the Wellspring of Hygiene (aka a bathtub he rigged out of discarded barrels). Dan instinctively bopped along, unable to conceal his enjoyment of the catchy tunes. Ultimately, he couldn't bring himself to murder a fellow fan.

Dan tried to call out Man-o-taurs. Unfortunately, being horrible at non-fist-based diplomacy and unable to shoulder the burden of being de-man-ized in the eyes of anybody (let alone a group he considered to be comprised of his peers), he failed to get anywhere. He took the cowardly route out of his dilemma and agreed to go back and kill the Multi-bear.

But he never did go back. And he never will.

Neither Ford nor Bill actually know anything about playing chess, besides that it is THE thing for smart people to do. They are only pretending to know what they're doing because they think admitting to not knowing how to play chess would be tantamount to calling themselves dumb.

However, they are both convinced that the other is a genius at chess. Ford assumes Bill is a grandmaster because of his millennia of experience and mind-reading abilities. Whereas Bill has no frame of reference for how chess should be played and refuses to acquire one. He just assumes that Ford has to be good because he was in chess club in high school (despite always finding a way to weasel out of actually playing the game) and plays confidently.

They're lucky they never got the chance to play against Tate McGucket, who legitimately would be one of the greatest chess-players of all time if he didn't find the game so boring.

mabel discovers in her twenties that she’s polyamorous! she’s got so much love to give, and eventually finds partners that make up a nice polycule! (everyone is super supportive, but stan likes to pretend that he mixes the partner’s names up. even if they’re originally from gravity falls)
