I am a substitute teacher. here are some things my students said this week. most from a drama class.

student 2: "ew, no YOU look like a spider monkey"

student 1: "you look like a spider monkey"

student 1: "no, I look like a silverback gorilla"

student: "he was a freaky bisexual man" (in reference to Shakespeare

student: "teacher, they're calling me queer"

me: "are you?"

student: "no, I'm as straight as this pencil" (holds up pencil)

me: "congratulations" (to students calling him queer) "don't say tha-"

student: *bends pencil and snaps it on accident"

me: "okay don't break pencils"

me: "I was an art major"

student: "yeah, we know" (looking me up and down)

student who broke the pencil (he was the class clown methinks): "is there a conservative arts degree?"

student: "he understands iambic pentameter. that's nice, that's sexy"

student 1: "I'm so sigma"

student 2: "no you're skibidi"

student 1 (dejected): "I am skibidi"

I used to drive a Honda Odyssey but I took out the middle and back seats so it was just big empty space back there. you can fit more kids easy, but they might get concussions

I know everyone has been equating the Honda fight scene in Deadpool and Wolverine to sex, but all that went through my mind on the theater was so this is what they were driving in Dungeons and Daddies

How the fuck did they fit that many kids in one of these things?

I'm giving a talk on inclusive college campuses and I need your help!

Next week, I'm going to be given a presentation to a university who is interested in moving towards a more accessible college campus (and whose faculty will be my captive audience for two hours) . I have been invited due to my own lived experience with disability, but I am only one person, with one experience.

I will answer the questions, and then follow up with "and by the way, I asked 26,000 people these questions, and this is what THEY said."

If you're interested in having your voice heard to develop inclusive and accessible college campuses, please, please give your input on these questions, even if it's just one or two.
