CELEBRATE 108
It’s not every day you get to say happy birthday to someone celebrating 108 years of life. Well at Grand Brook Memory Care of Grapevine, that’s exactly what family and staff did this past September.
Rachel was born in 1906 in Indiana. When she was six years old her family moved to Michigan by way of a covered wagon. After graduating from high school Rachel attended a Business College to fine tune her typing and shorthand skills. She paid for her college room and board by washing dishes and cleaning floors. She spent over 30 years as a bookkeeper in the banking industry. What a wonderful milestone to celebrate with Rachel as she turned 108 years old. Rachel says that her secret to a long life has been no husband and no children! It is a privilege and an honor to care for such a strong, friendly and precious hearted woman!
