Week 12 - Final Refinments

I checked my wordcount and found that I was 300 words over the 2200 limit (oops) so I went ahead and found some information that wasnt adding much value and got rid of it.

Final Poster

This is my final A2 Poster. Im really happy with how it turned out and I think it communicates who I am as a creative.

Rationale for poster:

I have gone for an illustration and type based poster. This bookshelf represents the one that I have at home.

This minimal approach helps to reflect myself as a creative. The minimal effect allows the viewer to think more about the key message. This type of design is prevalent across my other projects.

Refining Conclusion

This is my conclusion to date. I have made some notes that I will need to fix up. But overall Im happy with how this sounds.

I really love the contrast between the black and grey as the objects stand out more.

Poster Iterations

I tried putting a dropshadow on the objects. Not too sure if I like this too much.

I decided that my poster was looking a little boring so I decided to create a cabinet illustration.

This looked a little basic

I quite like the dimension it gives with the grey coulours.

Test print + Feedback

I wanted to test print my poster draft to see what it would look like. This was a good way to test whether the type or images were too small.

In class the feedback I had recieved was very positive. The illustrations seemed to be easily recognised by my peers which was great. The only critique I got was to maybe play around more with the placement of the objects - which I agree with so will be testing this out.

Week 10 - Where Im at

Personal reflection:

My poster is coming along in the way that I want and I like how it is speaking my language. There are a few things I would like to change, such as a couple of the elements to fit more into the creative communities section.

As for my essays, I really find it quite challenging to write essays as I'm not the best at grammar and turning my thoughts into a well-written structure. I feel that I need to break it down into manageable sections that are easier to understand. I have started to write points down for how I would like to structure the essay but now I just need to keep at it!!
