Galar and its limited Dex

Galar is a region that is very big on the conservation of its nature. Many Pokemon are not allowed because they can harm the environment. The Region does not want pokemon not native to Galar to invade. 

There are loopholes, however. When it comes to the annual Pokemon League Conference, Pokemon not native to Galar are allowed by members attending the meetings. This includes everyone, from the Champion to the Assistants, and to the security.

Homecoming Parades

During the fall season it’s not uncommon to see high schools do parades for homecoming.

Instead of having cars and trucks pulling floats and showing off the homecoming court they use Pokémon.

The most common are horse-like Pokémon, but they’ll use there mascot mostly.

Sickness and Pokémon

When a trainer gets sick the Pokémon will know before the Trainer.

No matter how much you say it’s just your seasonal allergies they will force you to get your temperature taken.

And they are smug when they are right.

I’m not sick you are.

Senior Students

If you don’t go to Trainer School, you can go to a normal High school. In most High schools the seniors get done with the school year earlier and on their last day they are allowed to bring their Pokémon to school and have them walk around with them.

The halls often a hassle that day.

Football

Football is a very popular sport in Unova. Many high schools have teams who compete.

The best aspect is the marching band. They often use Pokémon with the color guard, kinda like how people do in Hoenn in the contests.

This is an update with my Houndoom and school! The Principal and Superintendent said that all rules and regulations are the same with some changes. I leave class a little early so I dont block the halls and his service vest had to be adjusted slightly! It went better than I expected. Thanks for the little confidence boost!

Your friendly neighbourhood veterinary clinic is probably the closest thing in real life to a pokemon center, eh? So here are some pics of a few of my patients re-imagined as pokemon. I’ve been meaning to do a mashup like this for a while, but now seems a particularly relevant time.

grimsley isn’t aware that you’re afraid of the dark. i mean, the guy specializes in dark type pokemon, he has nothing to be afraid of and he assumes the same for you.

the man literally sleeps in pitch black darkness and you FREAK out every time and turn on a night light and he’s like “??? when did i buy this. what is this.”

he laughs at you when you tell him until he realizes, “oh god, you’re not kidding are you???” and you kinda look away, embarrassed, but he reaches out to hold your sweet self… pure and good

grimsley invests in a sleep mask so you can have your night light on (you later told him about the purchase because he kept throwing it out thinking some spirit was invading his home).

one night, you’re trying to find the bathroom in the dark and his liepard slinks past you and you’ve never Screamed so loud…. you swear grimsley was about to call the fucking COPS….. all of alola heard you yell

now, you bring a flashlight with you at all times because grimsley literally has no lights in the house besides the natural light that filters through the windows. this man is insane. alola is sunny like all the time and this man enjoys the dark… i’m deceased

you swear you’ve seen this creepy dude in the corner of the room several times when you wake up in the middle of the night. you tell him about it one night and he lets out this huge, disappointed sigh.     + ”[y/n], that’s just me coming back from the bathroom”     “NO grim listen to me this thing is UGLY its HIDEOUS”     “….that’s me, [y/n]”     “NO NO GRIMSLEY LISTEN—”

grimsley hisses when he sees light. you don’t know why, but you give him shit for it and you’re like, “how did you even live at the unova league huh???” and he’s like “i kept my eyes closed the entire time”

you shined a light into his eyes one time and you swore you saw hell his pupils literally YEETED out of existence.

grimsley is miffed when you install light fixtures in the house but he lets it slide since he just bought these cool new light-blocking sunglasses that allow him to be in complete darkness… all the time. you tried to break them when he walked around the house for the first time and nearly broke all of his bones on the rug in the living room. he’s taller than you, so you couldn’t reach them. you swear you’re going to break them one day.

Champion Lance

A thing most people don’t know is that Lance smokes cigarettes. A fan captured a photo of him smoking outside a league event and it buzzed around the social media a bit.

Lance did address the photo during a interview where he explained that he does smoke but doesn’t want to smoke in public to keep a cleaner influence on children. He also explained how he began smoking when he was in his late teens thinking it was cool, but it’s now used as a stress reliever.

I don’t criticize him for smoking cause being in his position is quite hard.

Pokémon League Conference

Twice a year, all Champions, Elite Four, Gym Leaders (along with Kahunnas), and Professors meet in a region to talk about what is going on in their region. It’s a five day event with all regions.

The meeting are usually held in February/March and October/November.

Day one is a conference with all Gym Leaders and Kahunas. They discuss new tips with battling, how many badges they have given out and that pervious year’s spending. They also discuss on what events they have helped with, from showing a kid to the Pokécenter to stopping someone from committing suicide.

Day two is a conference is Elite Four. It’s majority the same as the Gym Leaders. They do discuss how they think a Gym Leader or a Champion is doing. They discuss payroll for everyone in their region as well.

Day three is for Champions. They discuss spending and more political topics. They discuss crime rates and ways to improve thing like education.

Day four is for the Professors. They use this as one of the times to catch up with each other’s work and how are their students, staff, and Pokémon are doing. This is a ‘break day’ for the members of the Leagues.

Day five is the last day where everyone gathers and discusses what has happened and what has been talked about the last four day.

Most do end up staying a couple more days to talk about their private lives.
