It’s Playoff time for high school football in Georgia. North Atlanta High School in the metro Atlanta area ends a long playoff drought. Now they will be searching for their first playoff victory as well as their quest to the state championship begins this Friday.

This is a significant game in Region 7-4A, with the Falcons currently sitting at number six on the rankings, and the War Eagles sitting one above. Georgia State makes homecoming history
Homecoming season has come and gone but Georgia State University made history for the first time in its homecoming court. In connection with Georgia State University, 11Alive reported a story on one of our very own students sophomore Demarco Pittman. Pittman is the first black deaf man to win a homecoming title. For the first time in Georgia State University history students have selected a young man of this stature. Pittman told 11Alive “A disability doesn’t matter because you are in charge of your future.” Click here to read more

Tragic story out of Atlanta this week. In local metro Atlanta neighborhood a young 18-year-old girl was shot in her sleep by stray bullets. It is beilieved that the two shooters were shooting at each other. Another reason for more gun control laws in America that would restrict the access for people like this to obtain guns.
