Paper Bounce #3
Today is Sunday, March 2, and I'm almost halfway done with my paper. I am good in time with being the due date March 26. While reading and taking a lot of notes about the topic of cyberbullying, I start to recognize that there is not only one method and one platform with one bully .. no there are so many different methods and platforms with several bullies harassing one target at a time. I can't even say how much this hurts me, when I read the stories of teens who decided to end their life caused by humiliation in another, abstract and non-real world.
I will let you know how it is going, guys.
xoxo

Paper Bounce #2 - DAY #5
As you may have read on my blog, I have to write an essay about "CYBERBULLYING" in school for the next six weeks. Since the project started Wednesday, I have been researching continually. When I started, I did not know what the emphasis of the essay should be. With reading through books, online magazines and conducted surveys, I got more and more aware of how little attention cyberbullying gets from the public.
The most unbelievable part was how many teens in my age were so bullied through social networks, IMs and text messages that they did not see any other way than leaving this world.
Therefore, I think I have to be honored of getting the opportunity of writing (only) eight pages about cyberbullying. I believe that I have to give these honorable people the chance to tell their stories and spread their sad voice about how threatening and humiliating technology can be.

Paper bounce #1
Yes, I'm still aaaaaaalive! So one of my New Years' resolutions is to blog more so here we go! DAY 1: Today started a big project in school. I have to write eight pages about "cyber bullying". I'm honored that I get the chance to write about this topic because in my opinion cyber bullying hasn't gotten a lot of attention of any kind. So this is the time! From today on, I got six weeks to read through literature, find a scientific question I am going to answer through the main part of the work, and summarize and answer in my conclusion. Sounds easy but isn't easy. Unfortunately.. Haha. I hope I will be fine. Xoxo

I spent four wonderful days in Dallas, TX. It was awesome to see another state and I cannot imagine living with another host family than this one anymore.

Olá!
So this weekend I was in the mountains with my exchange student group + an another one from the ASPECT FOUNDATION . The other exchange students I met for the first time were a lot of fun and we had a really good time. We also went to the Stanley Hotel where they taped the movie "Shining" in 1980. I know .. most of the people I know weren't even born yet so we didn't really know it haha.
Colorado is one of the most beautiful places ever to take some pictures. It was super beautiful. And by the way, tomorrow Colorado and I have our anniversary: SIX MONTHS OF LOVE AND THREE AND A HALF TO GO! :-)
Yours and only yours,
Lisa

CONFESSION
Helloooooo friends!
I'm sorry I haven't blocked in a while .. I was pretty busy and i have to admit that for the most part my life got pretty normal if you could say that. After things went pretty straight down if you can put it in words like that, i finally found my home here in the States. I love my new hostparents, Doug and Jane, they're the best I could have ever asked for. They treat me like their own daughter and know what I like and how I am just am.
Thank you, I love you.
I'm also finally ready to talk about my experience with my previous hostfamily. Now you may think that i just need attention and sympathy for what I have experienced but I don't want to. The people who know me well know I'm not doing it for that. I do it because a lot (A LOT) of people asked and texted me on facebook as soon as they knew somehow (don't ask me how) that I transferred to another family. While it wasn't a big of a deal for me anymore, it was for them. I'm happy to give you a little to talk about people - I actually enjoy it a little bit haha.
For all of you who were already abroad and made the experience of transferring, it is not easy and definitely not an easy process. It really hurts. It was neither easy nor smoothly for me. You are stuck between everything. You feel lonely and like a left dog nobody wants. You don't wanna feel like that. Believe me. So after crying and hating and cussing about your situation and you finally come to the conclusion that it is better that way, you will feel better. I personally believe that God created this path to me to give me a challenge.  I know that He knows that I am strong enough to do it. I am strong enough. I just had to rediscover it. But how I said earlier: It is not easy. Because you're asking yourself now?
It's not easy because you feel like nobody wants you.
Although my coordinator, all your friends, and the previous hostfamily told you that it is not your fault, why do I think that it was my fault? And that's the problem: You think it was really your fault.
Eventually with the support of my coordinator Kathy (best ever) and my family at home I finally got over it. However, i have to give the most credit to my friends at home; they helped me understand that they are some people in the world who love me to death no matter what. You know who you are and I may be the luckiest person in the world callling you my friends.
So after going here and going there and going anywhere, I finally found my home in the USA. My life is pretty different now but that's ok. I now understand what "totally dive in another culture" means haha.
Yours and only yours,
Lisa

Eure Lisa

Today all exchange students went to Elitch Gardens together, which is an amusement and water park in Denver. We had such great weather and a looot of fun! First we went to the amusement part and destabilize the roller coasters and other thrill rides which are named like Minderaser or Tower of Doom. They don't have scary names don't they?Anf after a short lunch with sandwiches, oreos and water we changed over to the water park and had fun fun fun! Although it was so crowded we tried to use every attraction had such a great time!
Thanks to Kathy who took the pictures.
I say hello to all of you guys,
Love Lisa
