sol !! im making some icons for masaki and i forgot just how rude ryuukens' mom was to her ,,,,, imagine that youre the last remaining member of you eicht quincy clan and youre only taking in by another clan because you can preserve the blood line. the pressure to do good in school and get powerful as a quincy, all the while you really dont have anywhere to call home or anyone to call family ..... and all the while, you hold your tongue, almostt afraid to upset the people who kindly took you in

sol !! so i just spent 20 minutes yapping in another post that i was going to explain in depth symbolism in my interpretation of masaki and i realized it sounded like a fever dream ...... so here's a tldr that isn't so convoluted to read!

i'm sure you all have noticed but a few words will describe " resurrected masaki " ; those being divine , holy , merciful . my masaki is a allegory to mary , mother of jesus . where did i get this idea from ? well , consider the parallels of ichigo being an amalgamation of nonhuman blood - one of the only beings to be a perfect mix of the human and supernatural entities in the bleach world . also , consider the amount of saving the world he does !!!!!! literally a savior lmfao.

so , i call her a holy archer because a fragment of her soul remained when the hollow killed her - she had attachments still to this world , that being the family she left behind . but how did her soul become tangible ? it was her sincere to prayers to any god that would hear her family would still love , and smile , and live their lives to the fullest.

when she woke up alive again , she didn't remember her time as a mother , or that she was previously dead . all she knew is that she was taken in by quincy that sensed her great spiritual pressure and that her name was kurosaki masaki.
