WATCH NEVER HAVE I EVER ON NETFLIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-it has such a weird, quirky sense of humour

-while simultaneously tackling really serious LGBTQIA+, diversity, mental health/grief issues

-the characters are genuinely interesting and could all stand alone without the others

-THE MUSIC (loving that synth pop, dream pop aesthetic honestly)

-also the cinematography (some of the shots are so vibrant, especially in the Ganesh Puja episode)

-this tv show actually made me cry so much and I don't cry that easily, trust me

-it made me miss my mom

-perfectly captures the mother/daughter dynamics in a lot of South Asian communities

-address arranged marriage in a really interesting way (listen yes, Kamala is hot but she's also so layered)

-also, I can't get over how entertaining the narrator is (it's such an odd choice but I can't picture anyone else in that position

Can I just say that one of my favourite parts (and there are many) about Never Have I Ever is the fact that it doesn't give into the 'hot, popular mean girl whose the leads competition' trope. Like yes there is a girl, Zoe, whose also involved with Paxton, but she's never the ridiculously over-the-top bitch. She's just another girl, who Devi never even engages with. And I think that's a lot more realistic! It manages to reflect Devi's insecurities in relation to Paxton, without having to demonize any other girl who shows interest. That's much healthier than the very tired plot device of pitting girls against each other in an attempt to gain male attention. Doing this just validates internalised misogyny. And while we may sometimes vilify people we see as romantic competition in real life, it doesn't mean its healthy. I think the show handles this well and I hope that if they pursue any developments with the character of Zoe they follow this arch.

Cameron’s Legacy - Let’s End the Water Crisis for Him

Hi friends, Louise here.

Back in April, Cameron Boyce was honored with the Spirit Award from the Thirst Project. Cameron raised $30000 toward building wells in Swaziland. He was dedicated to using his influence to bring light to social issues like the water crisis and help those in need.

In his memory, @disney-princess-sized has started a fund-raising campaign called Cameron’s Legacy through the Thirst Project. Our goal is $12000 to build one fresh-water well in Cameron’s name.

There are thousands of posts on Tumblr alone expressing our grief over such a tragic ending to a beautiful person. Cameron inspired so many of us to help others and make the world a better place.

So please help us, not just in remember Cameron or helping those who desperately need water, but in keeping his positivity and kind spirit alive.

In his last interview, Cameron said “I’m following in the footsteps of some really strong men and women who have showed me what it means to give back; it’s the greatest way to fulfill yourself.”

It’s now us following in his footsteps, he is the strong man who have showed us what it means to give back.

Please dont stop creating content about him or his characters. I know hes gone and i know it may feel weird but if he inspires you use that inspiration. When D3 comes out and you want to write a fic about Carlos write. If you want to draw draw. Death shouldnt stop us from doing what we love with characters and actors that we love. If you need to step back for a bit to grieve do so but when youre ready to come back come back. Ive been in a few fandoms who have lost actors and it hasnt stoped them from creating so it shouldnt stop us either. Im sure hed be happy knowing how much hes still inspiring people to do the things they love. So keep being creative.

I may have not been the BIGGEST fan ever but I always cared for him and supported him from Jessie and beyond!

(I can’t imagine what the people who were huge fans of him are going through you lost your idol and I’m so so so sorry if any of you need anything through you grieving process I am a dm away.)

I still cannot believe that I’ll never be able to see this man smile again. Everytime he would pop onto my timeline it was soo cool to see him doing big things.

You never think goodbye is going to come so soon. I can’t imagine the pain his family and close friends are feeling.

Make sure you spread love!!! make sure you hug and kiss your friends and family, never take anything in this life for granite because if you had the opportunity or the blessing to wake up today that is a GIFT nothing in life is promised. Spread love to everyone!!

As long as I’m on this earth it’s not going to feel the same without cameron in it.

Thank you for being such a light, such a beautiful person. thank you for leaving a beautiful legacy for people to follow thank you for always campaigning for what you believe in always. Thank you for being so charitable, thank you for using your platform for nothing but GOOD thank you every smile, every laugh.
