Remember I finally got my dream figure back in September, Rhyme Mode Ren? Well, we're in the process of moving today, and I can't wait to set him up~ He's been sitting in his box because DAMN IS IT FUCKING HUGE. I'll post pictures when he's finally put together and placed 🤗. If you don't know the story, I put an ad hunt on MFC for it with very low hopes and expectations of it actually getting a decent look, since this figure is about $200-$300 now. It was released in 2014 and is a huge scale figure. I'll post his GSC info link in an edit later. He is a WonHobbySelect, making him a special-made scale (typically elaborate and of high quality making it usually coveted), and they are usually not rereleased like normal scales/nendos. So it's a one and done. Anyway, the first person to contact me about it offered me theirs for roughly the same price it went for 5 years ago, $150 (no shipping). Now, they were located in Poland and had offered in Euros, so when I saw the conversion, I had to make sure we had the right currency and they knew what they had (fig+munz) compared to what they were offering me. They sent a total of 12 pictures that covered every possible location of a possible scam (i.e his cape comes off, so hidden damage). The shipping wasn't even the cutthroat part. I had actually overpaid them, so they returned some. In all, I got this figure as if it was just released 5 years ago today. I am so thankful and grateful for the kind individual who not only made my dream come true, but didn't scam me either considering it seemed almost too good to be true. I was broke for 2 weeks. You can always tell if I'm in a bad mood after a night shift if I come home playing Let Me Hear at a volume specific to anger mode and a song worthy of the realm (AKA extremely fucking loud screamo). I don't often leave my music at a high volume when I get into my apartment complex, as when I was younger I constantly had kids playing their car stereos with rap or some shit on full blast at all hours and I hated it. Well, there are a lot of elderly where I am now, so y'know, I want to respect them since they're probably sleeping. Ok, if you aren't already aware, I am a HUGE Hamtaro fan. But in America, the show was pulled off the airways by Japan in the late 90s early 2000s, so if you were born after my generation and didn't watch Anime, you may have not heard of it or be used to its concept (I scarred my club with a Hamtaro movie cause they found it creepy). This also means merch for it is almost non-existent (I say almost because I bought a Hamtaro shirt I still wear to this day (pic later) but it's the only by extreme chance due to its obscurity for certain individuals. I find most of mine either at con bargain bins or seconds shops, or @buyee_jp who just partnered with Mercari where I found a lot of stuff. But anyways, let me introduce to you @blushsprout who has a whole collection of enamel pins of (almost) the entire Ham-Ham Crew~ I currently own a Howdy pin, but he was a single listing on Etsy. And they are on average $9~ I haven't found any enamel Hamtaro pins under $12 that aren't buttons (I bend their pins too easily). Rev's cover of Critical Diver using Kurobousuku was actually my first video I posted romaji for. So I translated it at the same time as Beats of Aun, but this song. THIS FUCKING SONG. It's lyrics translated so oddly for me, since it incorporates elements of opposite concepts: sky and sea. So my confidence in the translation is much lower than Aun, since I had nothing to go off of that was universally accepted. Hell, I can't even find any other covers of this song except Rev's. The title romaji is "rinkai daibaa". Rinkai translated to either "critical" or a railway line. So, critical diver it is. During translation I came across a historical reference to military aviation that may help to the odd lyrics. Also, celery. Does vflower (original vocals) like celery, cause DF is with that? "Always taking and eating my celery". Theory does not in any way, shape, form, or stretched idea fit in the context of the line, even if you don't include the following line. In the loid universe, the characters are often given a favorite thing, often food: Miku is leeks, Kaito ice cream, Teto bread, etc. So is flowers celery..?
