i feel like i never mentioned it here but just so u know farmer cole is a blatant self insert (kinda obvious bc his name is my name) he's just me if i was better looking and less afraid. i also mostly draw him in clothes i own something close to or would like to own. when i get a haircut or dye my hair his hair changes. it's just fun like that.

Those adorable shark plushies made me want to ask if Wolfe and Elliott have any plushies at their farm!! I could totally see Wolfe having a bunch of sea critter plushies!

Aw, thank you for thinking of my guys! And they absolutely have a good amount of plushes around. Wolfe has a big soft spot for them, he gets over excited if the plush is anatomically correct, especially for octopuses. Having spendable income and freedom to buy what he wants has led him to amounting a small collection of plushes, guy just likes cute soft things and Elliott cannot say no to his happy face. (small collection does increase a bit after having a kid, but still work shopping all of that)

year one | winter

the writer and the farmer stood on the bridge near the mayor's house. the valley was a sight to see this time of the year. trees turned white and the buildings were covered in snow, just as everything really! it was so much different than industrial winter, beau stared at the forest in the distance and he suddenly felt a strong stream of emotions take control. he was happy, so happy he couldn't stop the tears pouring down his face.

as he let out a quiet shaky breath, elliott; his friend, immediately turned his head to check on the man next to him. "dear, what happened?" he moved closer, gently placing his hand on beau's arm; hoping that even under that thick layer of clothing he could feel elliott's undying affection and care he began to hold towards him.

"ahah! it's stupid, really stupid" he laughed, turning around to face elliott, letting him take his hands to warm them up. only now he began to form a closer bond with him. it was nice to have a close friend for once in your life; he thought to himself as he smiled at their hands tangled gently together. elliott looked at beau sheepishly "dear, i believe nothing is stupid to cry about. there are so many things worth weeping over, so let me know, what is your heart aching for?" 

beau was taken aback a little, oh he thought beau was suffering greatly. the farmer shook his head and his frame shook when he laughed "no, no! you misunderstood me, elliott. it's just, ah— i guess i got emotional over the winter scenery." 

he let go of his hands "told you it's stupid, but... how can i not cry?" he gestured towards nearby  trees "i spent most of my life trapped within the walls of industrial city! rarely i could appreciate nature a bit more." he leaned against the bridge's stone fence. elliott came up to him, copying him and also leaning against it; making sure to somehow keep the physical contact intact, as their elbows were touching.
