The thick smoke slowly rose from Oswald’s expensive cuban cigar as it hung from his mouth, a coy smile on his face as he beheld his fellow Gothamites. For the most part, he could buy and sell each of them in turn, and make a tidy profit in the process. 

He laughed to himself before his attention was drawn to the young woman before him, “Good evening.. splendid party, isn’t it?”

“Naturally! I have completely refurbished Cobblepot Park. I’ve been working very closely with the top scientists in this and every other city, to come up with a clean energy source as well. There is far too much pollution in Gotham, don’t you agree?” he asked as the smoke from the cigar slipped from his nostrils. 

“It is certainly an interesting event.” she admitted, giving a small nod.

Personally these sorts of things bothered her. It was a, as Jason liked to put it, a ‘pissing contest’ between all the rich socialites of Gotham more than anything else and, while she could not deny that blunt accusation, she wasn’t fond of hearing it put in such a way.

“That is wonderful to hear.” she replied. “Gotham would greatly benefit from clean energy over what is used today.” 

One thing Braelyn could always appreciate about Oswald was his attempts to better the world.

They’re all smart, hardworking, and determined… even if they aren’t all on the same side now… their skills and how they handle situations are something she can still hold pride in, even when she refuses to show it.
