#FrostingFriday! This is what a tattoo looks like immediately after the first tattoo removal treatment is done. We call it 'frosting' and is a temporary byproduct caused by the heat generated from the laser. ⠀ About 10-15 minutes post treatment this fades and the fading starts to happen about 2-3 weeks after the treatment. Not every tattoo will be a home run, some will be stubborn. Tattoo ink is a huge variable, this one likely has a lot of heavy metals in it, on top of being extremely dense. The client was aware of the challenges prior to treatment, and shown progress photos through the whole process and still wanted to continue. There has been progress after every treatment. They will be getting a new half sleeve later this year. This tattoo had some scarring from when it was done, this could be felt by gently rubbing fingers over the area. Those scarred areas are what's slowing down this removal, but still, we're very happy with the results after 7 treatments. After 5 treatments over 80% of this tattoo has faded. Why have the results been so great? The majority of this tattoo is soft grey shading, this almost always faded very well. The client also has a healthy diet, drinks plenty of water and outside of a few days following treatment, stays active. Live a great life, have better fading results!
