ik that the popular interpretation of "always an angel, never a god" is I will never be a god, only an angel (always second best, figuratively connected to the divine but not necessarily divine myself) but i really like to hear it as "i only ever��get an angel, never a god" as in the answers i get are only ever second hand and the only thing i want is to be comforted by the one thing that truly understands me, but i only ever get someone who was told to understand me
