Hypnosis Mic Timeline

This is the timeline of events as of September 2020. It was originally released in the Hypnosis Microphone Guidebook. It may contain spoilers to drama tracks or manga chapters.

Note that the timeline was originally bifurcated into a Division section and a Party section. I have combined the two for simplicity, but because of this, some events may appear twice in a row from slightly different perspectives.

Drama Track#2 Divide et Impera

[ Nikita exits an exam room and stretches her arms. She looks relieved and rather happy. She leaves the school and heads to the train station. The girl takes the Tokyo- Nagoya Shinkansen and arrives after about 2 hours. Nikita takes her phone out and quickly dials a number.]

Nikita: Yo, Mochizuki! Where you at?

[She suddenly feels a hand on her shoulder and tries to grab it. Nikita turns arround only to see…]

Nikita: Gah! Mochizuki!

Mochizuki: Niki!

[Instead of apologizing she hugs her friend tightly.]

Mochizuki: Congrats for the exam!

Nikita: I didn’t even get the results! Don’t say that yet.

Mochizuki: Calm down, I’m sure you did fine. The good thing is that it passed and now we can hang out without your parents saying (she imitates Nikita’s mother’s voice): NIKI!! YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO GO OUT UNTIL YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Nikita: I… Can’t wait to move out.

Mochizuki: Maybe we can go to the aquarium or do something relaxing cuz… you’re not your usual self today (･᷄ὢ･᷅)

Nikita: Ohh don’t worry about it I’m just a little bit tired. As long as we don’t bump into…

Mochizuki: Is that…. JYUSHI????

Nikita: Not again!…

[ Mochizuki runs towards Jyushi and hugs him. She also greets Kuko but not with the same enthusiasm. He pops his bubblegum balloon in response. It takes a while to separate Mochizuki and Jyushi but after that they keep going. The two girls arrive at the aquarium and they spend most of their time here, admiring the sea creatures and having a really good time. After that, they decided to take a walk around Nagoya, simply admiring the surroundings.]

Nikita: Well that was fun

Mochizuki: I agree! What should we do next?

[Nikita seems to spot someone in the crowd, someone that stands out way too much. Nikita seems a little confused.]

Mochizuki: Ughhh? Isn’t that…

Nikita: Miss Yachi! Good evening!

Yachi: Gooood evening, girls! How are you?

Nikita(awkwardly): We were just taking a walk…

Yachi: Oh, I just remembered! How was your exam? Did it go well?

Nikita: Yeah, I’m pretty sure about that.

Mochizuki: （；￣ー￣）

Yachi: Oh! Is this your friend that you told me about?

Nikita: Yes, she’s Mochizuki.

Mochizuki: Pleased…. to meet you (￣´-`￣)

Yachi( focusing back on Nikita): So, do you remember our deal?

Nikita: Yes. I do.

Yachi: Knowing you I don’t need to worry about the results…

[ She holds out her hand that carried a metal briefcase. She looks Nikita in the eyes and smiles.]

Yachi: I trust you, Nikita.

[Nikita freezes. Her usual smug and cool self vanished. She slowly takes the briefcase. Meanwhile, Mochizuki is watching this from the side while clenching her fists.]

Yachihara: Alright! It’s settled!

[She pats Mochizuki’s shoulder then turns to leave.]

Yachihara: Haha! Don’t worry you have one too!

Mochizuki: Huh?

Yachihara: I’ll be back in a few weeks! Can’t wait to see how you’ll progress! Bye bye~!

[She happily waves the two girls then leaves. Between the two friends there was a very awkward silence.]

Nikita: I’ll give it to you when you get home… I don’t think I should open the case in public…

Mochizuki: What’s in there? Drugs?

Nikita(whispering): Hypnosis Microphones…

Mochizuki: HUH? HOW DID SHE GET THOSE?

Nikita: Shut up!!!! Let’s get outta here!

[She grabs Mochizuki by the hand and they start running to the station, trying to get to their homes as soon as possible.]

I remember it was difficult… I had to leave all of my friends… My mother had to find another job…” Ranpo’s smile vanished.”I miss Osaka…”

“Give me a sec.” Nikita casually spills all of the insides of her bag on the table.”My slide phone.” She checks her phone then she puts it back on the table.”Money, headphones, house keys because I don’t wanna sleep outside, uhm..can of chips?” She shakes the can a few times and realizes it’s almost empty. She smiles menacingly.” A lighter…Aaaand my ID.”

“I’m not afraid of anything! Ha! Next question please!”

“Mochizuki, do you remember this?”Nikita shows her a picture of a sea urchin.

“Ohhh…ewww… “ Mochizuki remembers something and seems to look scared.”I stepped on one of these when I was small and it hurt like hell and every time i go to the beach I have to look out for these.” She shudders. “ I don’t wanna look at it anymore…”

“Fufufu~!”

Headcanons

Mochizuki

• Jyushi named her electric scooter "The Pegasus of the Night" and Mochizuki thought that's really cool and just rolled with it

• She goes monster hunting with Niki but the only thing that they ever found was a wild Rio :(

• She has pretty decent grades ig

• She'll only cry just because she is not right or just very angry

•  Computer addiction

• She really really admires Koto but can't stand Yachihara AT ALL...

• Is very good in history classes

• She also likes baseball but Niki always complains that Mochizuki is going to hit her in the face one day

• Has a diastema and doesn't smile wide that much bcs of it

• Can get aggressive sometimes

Nikita

• She can't speak Russian at all

• She knows a few words just to show off and look cool

• Has braces but used to wear a dental headgear when she was younger.

• Likes baking cakes but she sometimes adds to much flour, leaves it too much in the oven...

• Cries a lot but doesn't like when others see her

• She feeds 3 cats that come to her on a daily basis and their names are Momo, Rei and Fuwafuwa. She sometimes cooks for them.( bcs she loves them ♡)

• Really really likes flowers and likes taking walks in parks that have lots of beautiful flowers.

Koto

•She used to be a very smart kid.

•She likes big dogs and she gets really excited when she sees one.

•Her sleep schedule is a mess.

•Likes collecting kimonos and her collection is pretty big and colorful.

•She’ll drink anything you give her as long as it has alcohol.(and it’s not poisonous lol)

•Has a beautiful singing voice. Its just too pure.

•And that’s why she enjoys going to karaoke.

•She doesn’t act really different when she’s drunk. She gets a little bit more excited but thats it.

•She’s not as skilled as she used to be because of her addiction.

•Pretty chill and cool for an assassin.

Yachihara

•Smokes a lot.

•Too much actually. Everywhere you see her she has a cigarette in her hand. The only place where she doesn’t smoke is Otome’s office.

•And she always has that annoying, mocking smile on her face.

•She is a pretty good driver and doesn’t like it when someone else smokes in her car.

•Dislikes drinking. Can’t stand the smell of very strong drinks. The only thing she can tolerate is wine.

•Yachi is a very picky eater.

•Is allergic to so many things that she stopped counting them.

•She eats a lot of bitter chocolate.

•Enjoys a little controversy from time to time. ;)

•A lot of people respect her status but they actually talk behind her back.

Rap abilities

Mochizuki: "First aid" Heals herself if she deals damage. She can heal only one person at a time and the healing that she can do is less than the damage she deals.

Nikita: "Machine-gun" At one point in the battle she can shoot at her enemies. The bullets are illusions and they don't deal real damage, but it still hurts.

Ranpo: "Heartache" Inflicts the enemy with venom like damage. If the opponent is not healed they will get a strong pain in the chest that increases with time.

Koto: "Kamikaze" Can take the damage that is directed at her teammates. Doesn't work if she fights alone.

Yachihara: "Smile" Doesn't take damage if she keeps her usual attitude. If she breaks down, she receives damage that can take her out of battle.
