Trying to write a script with subtext towards bigotry (specifically the trans experience) and ACTUALLY getting hate-crime-assaulted on my walk home yesterday felt like the universe cruelly telling me "YO - U CAN MAKE SOME OF THIS STUFF MORE OBVIOUS. IT IS LIKE THAT OUT HERE, IT'S BAD"

I am not gonna self-insert what happened beat-by-beat BUT the inspiration/actualisation actually works better for the play's themes overall that it was so fkn obvious and brazen as hell.

I love to see people in my position succeed, yet have to fight the ensuing PLAGUE of self-doubt and fear when part of my brain feels like I'm simply getting surpassed and not good enough to do what I love :(

Doubly aggravating being poor in this mix and simply also nowhere close to those same positions others have, where they can dedicate their time, energy, AND finance.
