Keep Your Bathroom Germ-Free With These 5 Simple Tips
Your bathroom is not only one of the most important rooms to clean but also one of the toughest. Between the constant struggle to scrub your floor tiles and wipe your sink, it can seem like a never-ending battle. While keeping your bathroom clean everyday can sound like a formidable task, it doesn’t necessarily have to be so overwhelming. With a few simple tips, such as the use of automatic toilet bowl cleaner tablets, you can keep your bathroom sanitary:

1. Use disinfectant wipes. Disinfectant wipes may sound trivial but they are your best friend when it comes to cleaning your bathroom quickly and conveniently. You can use them to wipe down your sink, bathtub, fixtures, trashcans and even the bathroom floor. They don’t get rid of stains but also help eliminate germs. 2. Pay special attention to your toilet. An important hygienic habit that a lot of people skip is shutting the toilet lid while flushing. When you leave the lid up, the germ-filled water from the toilet can spray across your bathroom- up to six feet away! Now, that’s something you wouldn’t want, would you? Also, don’t forget to use automatic toilet bowl cleaner tablets that will keep your toilet bowl germ-free. 3. Forgo bar soap at the sink. That bar of soap at your sink is one of the dirtiest things in your bathroom. Get rid of it. Instead of that, use a soap dispenser or a liquid soap as they do not come into direct contact with your dirty hands. 4. Do not dry your towels on hooks. It may seem like hanging your wet towels on your bathroom hooks are convenient, but it is not really a clean practice. The folds of the wet towel become the breeding ground for germs and bacteria, and in some cases, even mold. It is best that you hang them out to dry on a towel rack or a clothes line. 5. Clean your shower curtains. Your shower curtains are at the receiving end of all the dirt and germ-filled water that is sprayed around when you take a bath. It is advisable that you clean it once or twice a week using an all-purpose cleaner. You can also spray it with a water-repellent so that there is no dirty water or soap scum buildup. Implementing these simple tips will help you keep your bathroom clean and hygienic, no matter how much you use it.
